Artisan Miller plays by the rules. It's one of the main reasons she prefers to work with veterans -- helping them find jobs and get on with their lives. She knows the drill: don't date the clients. Stepping outside the lines at work is strictly forbidden, and she prefers it that way. Anything to protect her heart and keep her from getting distracted.
But when Kol Fletcher signs on as her newest client, she finds herself drawn to him. His laidback demeanor and ability to reel her in with just a look makes Artisan want to break the rules. He's dangerous. He's gorgeous.
He's a hurricane of a man.
Kol has demons. He lives in the darkness, unsure and unwilling to let anyone in. Artisan makes him want to open up, to lay everything on the line and never look back. But letting Artisan in would certainly scare her off. Keeping her at bay is destroying their relationship though, and losing her would destroy him. Kol knows a good thing when he sees it, and Artisan, with her bright personality and inviting smile is definitely a good thing.
If Kol is the hurricane, Artisan is the eye -- calm and collected, sheltering him from the storm.
This relationship is sure to wreak its havoc on both of their hearts. But sometimes life is about getting caught up in the storm.
