"Choose," he demanded.

I bit my lip, then looked into his eyes.

"You," I said, under my breath.

He flashed a smug grin and winked knowingly.

"Ask, and you shall receive."

Kyla's heart is crushed. A hot stranger, Jensen, offers a night of passion. Morning reveals him as her new boss. Can their spark survive office politics? Is this love or just a beautiful mistake?

This is a steamy romance novel and for the first time in any romance novel I skipped or skimmed the sexual content to continue the rest of the story. Kyla is an executive who has worked hard to get where she's at. She's never manipulated or seduced her way to the top. After a bad break up her friends convince her to get back on the prowl. She hooks up with a guy then forgets about it. Turns out the one night stand would be her new boss. He acknowledged the great work ethic and confidence Kyla had. However, coworkers accused her of sleeping around. When she was promoted after achieving a great company Gala, all people would say was she earned that promotion by being a floozy.

This book contains so many other small side stories that I was equally invested in. Corporate sabotage. Domestic violence. Pregnancy and career. Women in the workforce. I enjoyed everything but the sexual content.

This is what I get to reading unfinished books. Ughh I’m annoyed with the stopping point. And even more annoyed that I allowed myself to read an unpublished half written novel lol🤦🏼‍♀️

Social media add got the better of me… have you heard of Galatea?? Having a love/hate relationship with this app. Here books are exclusive on here. It makes you wait hours between chapters. You can watch some ads for points, you can buy points, or you buy a years subscription… the hours are irritating me but I’m too cheap to pay for the year haha!

So I found this audiobook to occupy me while waiting the hours for the ebook I’m reading on there. And this one wasn’t bad! Had an interesting concept. Main female is all about her career being first. When she finds her bf cheating she’s devastated… a little too devastated where it got a tad bit annoying. But I love that the friends have this thing about finding someone to hook up with to get over your breakup.

Two characters have a one night stand, and then find out he’s her new boss. The tension is on par in this book. Each chapter almost has its own little cliffhanger trying to get you on the app again. It was intriguing, held my interest, and yea I’m almost ready to pull out my credit card to stop waiting for these chapters! Even though book one had a great ending, book 2 is picking up right where it left off. There are really bad summaries so I’m going in blind basically… we will see how long it takes me to get through the next book!

Kyla is the kind of woman who has what she want in her life because she try to did her best to it. She has get her dream job, even if her boss is a completly douch, but her assistant is really great. She’s got such good friends who's always here for one another. She also got a boyfriend but it turns out the guy was cheating on her so one night her friends drag her to a bar and make a bet with her. She has to try to seduce a man to have a one-night stand. It’s not like her at all, but she’ll do it. The next day she’ll meet the same man again at her office and then she’ll know that it’s her new boss.
Kyla is a strong woman and will have to face her feeling toward Jensen at work everyday. She don’t want to lost her job and she don’t like gossip. I love the way she'll evolve all along with this story.
Jensen is a very attractive and famous man but doesn’t love gossip and being ine the spotlight. He's kind and so lovable. He’s willing to let his feelings for Kyla take control to be with her, but will it be enough to face the others ?
It was a great Office romance, I was really into it. This book is well written and a really appreciated reading it. The only thing that I didn’t like was in book three because I found it a bit long but the story is really worth it.

Idk 2.5?? Some parts I liked more than others. Some parts are just too cheesy lol. And idk it seemed to jump to a conclusion too quickly without further explanation at times.

DNF

I’m so tired of the pregnancy bull shit. I couldn’t read any further. The drama was stupid and the pregnancy sealed the deal. I’m out!
