Fans of James Patterson or Michael Connelly will love C. M. Sutter!
FBI Agent Jade Monroe has fond memories of Savannah. She loves the Southern charm, the history, and the South’s slower pace, but arriving there as a serial crimes investigator, she finds a different side of the city.
A request for help has come in from the PD because people in the Hostess City of the South are literally falling over dead in broad daylight after consuming a dangerous drug cocktail.
When Jade disappears during a victim’s funeral, the puzzle pieces begin to fall into place, and the only way Renz will find his partner is by learning the reason for the murders. Will Jade escape the killer’s terrifying grip, or will she be forced to drink that same drug cocktail and end up on public display as the killer’s final victim?
Editorial Review “FBI Agent Jade Monroe has always loved visiting Savannah, but when she’s sent there on FBI business, tourism takes a back seat to the investigation. Some zombielike citizens are showing up in tourism hot spots and acting in a bizarre fashion just moments before they die of a drug overdose. When Jade vanishes into thin air following the first victim’s funeral, the FBI and local law enforcement race to find her in this pulse-pounding tale with the perfect city as a backdrop.” Angela M., Line Editor, Red Adept Editing

C.M. Sutter was born in San Jose, California and split time between the sunny California coast and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a senior in high school, she chose Wisconsin as her permanent address. After many years in the Badger State, she decided on a warmer year-round climate to call home and moved south. Years of progression took her from working in large companies, to twelve years as a massage therapist, and finally, owning a corporation. She has been self-employed for over twenty years. Ms. Sutter has been writing and self-publishing since 2014 with eleven titles published in a different genre. Because of her deep interest in crime and thriller novels, she took up writing in the police procedural/crime thriller genre in 2016.
C. M. Sutter is a fine writer. Her characters are all accessible human beings with imperfections and engaging personalities. In her books, the FBI works well with local police agencies, as opposed to some writers who anticipate antagonism between local law enforcement and the "feebees." Jade Monroe is an extremely competent agent who has a soft side to her. The story line flows and the ending is believable if just a bit contrived. I have enjoyed all of Ms. Sutter's books that I've read, and recommend them to folks who like law enforcement mysteries.
I’ve read every book of C.M Sutter’s featuring Jade Monroe and have given 5 stars to all of them! I’m terribly sorry to hear this is the last book in the series! Every single book grabbed me from Page 1 and I couldn’t stop reading - usually starting & finishing within 24 hours or less! Bring me a new strong, feisty female lead like Jade, C.M. Sutter! I’ll be watching for it!!!
The first two books were good, but the last few were too predictable. Jade became stupid for an agent. No FBI agent would be as careless as she was to get kidnapped time after time.
Excellent book, intriguing plot with surprising twists. Life-like characters, with real-life personalities. I hate that it's the last book, I would have liked for the series to have continued.
This book should be a ten star book I just loved it I highly recommend this book to everyone I also recommend all of CM books to everyone Dorothy Schaefer
I was disappointed in this one not much drama or action. I was gonna dnf but thought I'd keep going thinking it would get better, this one was not for me.But someone else might enjoy it
