It is absolutely disgusting how apps like galeta (and there are many) are forcing readers to pay the same price a university student pays for a textbook for novels that don’t even reach the level of words a book worth payment has
The story while interesting it the start is just a rehash of so many like it I’m not even past chapter 8 and I see where it’s likely to go and thus I won’t be paying $40 to unlock one of the 3 books fuck that and fuck the app
If authors have any respect for themselves or their readers they’ll get their books off apps that charge people so much it’s appalling
If I could, I'd give this book no star at all. Galatea is a terrible app for any author to publish his/her work, its total extortion. The waiting process and all, it's more than terrible.
Could not finish book due to shitty Galatea apps extortion Why the fuck do authors use this shit app.. they have no respect for readers . I hunted all over the net to find this ebook to buy outright.. it’s only available on shitty Galatea . I’m not paying $40 for an ebook l have to wait days to move to next chapter.. disgusting app .
I read this book on Galatea app. It was a slow and painful waiting process as I got one chapter every 6hrs and the chapters were so so small. The story overall was just an okay one.
They pull you in with mobile ads. So you download it. You need to either pay 55 or so dollars a year to use the app unlimited or wait 6 hours for a new chapter that you can read in 5 minutes or less. Galatea is the worst! Also this story is very mediocre feels like a 13 year old wrote it.
I am drawn to this story, because of the way it was written. So much ease and humor. Of course the major credit goes to the author. Obviously the lady is one crazy and fun person herself. I like that. It shows in the interactions between characters. What makes it even better, is the narrator. This woman makes the book sound much more fun. I just regret it's on the Galatea app, so I will have to wait for a month to hear the whole story.
I really like this book and I would like to finish it without having to wait every 6 hours, like with galtea' and them expecting for me to pay..... This is why I am here on this sight. So please tell me how do I get to finish reading without paying??
Interesting concept, those who do not power are those that deserve it, and those who crave it lose their humanity.
Unfortunately the writing is lackluster, the author has good ideas and a good basis of character development but needs practice to flesh those ideas out. The chapters are much too short and the story is only moved along by dialogue and very little description. The main character Aarya switches from "I don't want to be queen" to "I'm the Queen you will respect me" much too quickly because of this, with little to no transition inbetween, showing that she wants and feels as though she deserves power, which is against the concept of the book.
That being said I would read further books by Laila in hope to see this improvement.
Anyone looking at the reviews, Galetea is worth the subscription price, not the individual coins price. There are hundreds of well written books on here, so even if you only read 5 or 6 books in a year you've gotten your £45 worth for your subscription.
I picked this option for The Lycan's Queen book 2.
It was ok. I was invested enough in wanting to see what happens to everyone that I kept reading. I only read a couple pages at a time (using an app on my phone when I found myself waiting somewhere for a few minutes.) I get hung up on small details or inconsistencies when I'm reading (or watching tv/movies) to the point of distraction sometimes, and that has been happening to me in this book quite a bit.
I hope the author chooses to move her books over to Inkitt which is the parent company of Galatea, I HATE the format of how the books are read on the Galatea app which sucks because there are so many great books but the amount you have to pay per-chapter.. just ouch unless you're willing to wait six hours per-chapter. I got sucked into this one and so want to finish it but the headache of how the app is and the format of not being able to read like a normal ebook is UGH!
The book would be interesting, but you always have to wait 6 hours just to read a chapter in 3 minutes?? Plus I won't pay 40€ for one book... The tension always builds up and then after two sentences there's a solution and the tension is gone.
Read 14 chapters and not able to figure out what the hype is about. The story is nothing new and is very similar to a lot of other lycan or ware wolf stories. I hate when curse words are used unnecessarily in a story. It is a mediocre story line at best.
Book actual read was “The Lycan’s Queen” by L.S Patel- 3 books in total off Galatean app. Good reads refuses to acknowledge the majority of their books- but for my own book challenge read-‘im adding one (instead of 3)
I've read poorly written books, but oh boy this was something else. Since I can't stop reading a book once I start, I had to finish this. I think I got a thousand wrinkles while reading this because of the cringe of how this felt like it was written by a 15 years old girl.
Decent Lycan/Werewolf romance story good characters, but unfortunate grammar and a bit rushed in places. It definitely an unedited story. But a pleasant read all told. I don’t regret reading it
Anybody wanting to read this book, it is possible to read it without paying, but you need to download each chapter, but that's cool. Wonderful novel ♥ According to the author, she is going to bring out a sequel. I do hope so. Book 2 is included but ends abruptly
Absolutely dragged on for ages, the couple’s dynamic became predictable and repetitive incredibly early on. I swear you can find better on any other platform than Galatea.
As far as free books go this one wasn’t too bad. It had a decent story, a fair bit of action and a lot of smut. Compared to some of the other free books I’ve read, this one had a much better storyline which was developed throughout the book at a suitable pace. It didn’t feel rushed or too slow. The only criticism I have is that the characters weren’t described very well. I had no idea what anyone was supposed to look like. Other than that it was okay for a quick read.
