This is book 2 in the Veteran's of Valhalla series but it can absolutely be read as a stand alone story! In this one we get Mace and Mia's story. Mace runs the k9 training center for Valhalla. They are invited to an event, The National Police and Security K9 Trials in Arizona. And when he decides to go, he asks Mia to go with him. Mia is an ICU Pediatric nurse, but she is also a little to Mace's DD. So be aware, there is a different lifestyle going on with them. The chemistry between these two is off the charts and extremely hot!! I loved how their relationship plays out, not only because it is different than the norm. But also because there is true caring involved-it's not all about sex!! The suspense in the story kept me guessing, and I enjoyed it. I liked how Mia had to choose to stand for herself, so while she is a l-she showed how much strength she truly has at heart. The ending felt kinda abrupt to me, it's the only reason I knocked down my rating. Otherwise, everything else about this story was great for me!
This was fab! Mitch (aka Mace) and Mia are so well suited. The chemistry between this is just wonderful as is the way Mace looks and protects Mia whilst letting her be totally herself. An emotional read with danger and suspense - I could not stop reading until the end!

I liked the relationship between Mace and Mia and how their DD/lg dynamic unfolded. I loved to see how Mia's little and big co-existed and that Mace was not above apologizing to her when he made a mistake and re-evaluating things when needed. The mystery is a nice thread through the story and I'm looking forward to the next installment.

Oh my! This was one of those stories that you want to read again and again. I loved the chemistry between Mitch (Mace) and Mia. Their connection is there but it takes her awhile get onboard but once she does, look out! Ms. Gray has weaved a beautifully written story between a Daddy Dom and his little. Mia is embarrassed at first but Mitch slowly works his way into her heart! We get to see the other characters who have stories coming as well. I loved this book so much and Ms. Gray has become one of my favorite authors!
The second story in this series gave this avid reader everything she wanted to see in a book. The story has passion, mystery, suspense, angst, strong alpha men, and equally strong feisty females. I liked the characters, their interaction, a touch of danger, and how it involves several veterans, girlfriends, and related friends together. Implications that someone within the compound is associated with a drug cartel member keeps this group asking questions but has yet to find the answers.
The second story focuses on the Daddy Dom/little girl relationship between Mitch ‘Mace’ Anderson and Mia Rose Shaw. Their relationship is getting deeper, the dynamics stronger, but they are taking it one day at a time as they develop. Together, the erotic chemistry is well blended, and these two are in sync. It will have plenty of interactions between these two as they traverse their relationship, including play and discipline.
Mia Shaw is a lost little girl in a woman’s body and world. She has never known what love and family interaction are because of how her parents treated her. Nurses and nannies raised her until she was old enough to be sent away to boarding school. Once she was of age, she moved away, went to college, and became a nurse. She wants nothing to do with her birth family.
“I am the youngest child of Collin and Sarah Shaw. My parents are well-known members within the Boston Elite.”
The story will have a group traveling to Arizona for the National Police and Security K9 Trials. This will be a chance for Paws Your Six to be featured in events and for others to learn of the company and its well-trained canines. The trip to Arizona will bring several moments of danger that put Mitch and his team on alert when Mia is approached and given a message of warning to take back to Mitch.
The story has the good, the bad, and the evil of people. I liked the Valhalla veterans, their teamwork, loyalty, and readiness. I liked the relationship and chemistry between Mitch and Mia, how well they meld together within the DD/lg dynamics. While he has his fun, loving Daddy side, Mitch knows when to be the firm and disciplinarian Daddy Mia needs. He encourages her little Mia to come out, but he also expects her to follow her health and safety rules. The story has discipline and sex scenes.
Once again, Valhalla will come under attacks from drug cartels, and the threats are not only to members, by their livelihood—particularly their canines. It will have someone doing something only because of another person’s life. A life is taken, not of one of their own, will still lead to ramifications and danger.
I love how the Valhalla group of men and the women involved are so close, there for each other, protecting one another. They are a family stronger than blood bonds. While several live and work at Valhalla, with the horse and canines, training and preparing for wounded warriors. So when one is affected, they all respond; they all feel the pain.
The story will also bring in another couple, Luke and Danielle, who each works at Paws Your Six with the dogs. There will be issues that arise at the show and completion that shock the team, a threat that could have quickly taken the lives of several of their valuable canine. Secrets revolving around Danielle’s sister will surface, but they are still hanging too. There will be more on this couple in the next book, Luke: A Christmas Military Romance (Veterans of Valhalla Book 3), due out December 9th.
Mitch is very protective of his little, Mia, even when he has to protect her from herself. Now he has to protect her from renegades from a cartel, who are threatening all the people on Valhalla Ranch. This is another awesome book from RJ Gray. Her compassionate first-hand understanding of Veterans shines once again in this one. Mia is every bit a sassy little girl, when she is not working as a successful PICU nurse, and Mitch is perfect as her Daddy. They are both relatable, and I love that he is not portrayed as infallible. I also enjoyed getting to see characters from the first book in the series, and the setup for the third. There is an overarching storyline that runs through the series, making it better read in order, but it can be read as a standalone. Five stars, it is well worth the one click.

This book is an interesting combination of romance, Lifestyle, and psychological thriller. Over the course of it, Mia darned near broke my heart. I spent most of this book wanting to cuddle her close, promising to make it all better. I’m glad Mitch was there to do it for me. I loved watching the relationship between them develop. I am extremely impressed with the way Mitch was able to acknowledge when he had made mistakes in the dynamic with Mia, apologize, and commit to doing better. I think the only thing I would change is the way the story ended. I didn’t realize the book was over until I was reading “epilogue”. There’s definitely more story to be told, and now that we’ve been introduced to the leading couple that will be up next, I’m looking forward to it. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.
The second instalment of veterans of Valhalla continues to enthral readers with the story’s of war hero Mitch Anderson (Mace Daddy Dom) & Mia Rose Shaw (paediatric ICU nurse & his Little).
The intricate story carries on from Phantom. With Mitch & Mias love unfolding, Mia is able to explore her ‘little’ for the first time in a loving, secure, supportive & protected relationship, under her Daddy’s acceptance, protection, guidance & love
There are continuous twists and turns, as an unsolved mystery runs through each book & once again brings in many of the characters & their women that live in Valhalla or work for ‘Paws Your 6’.
This book manages to keep you on your toes, glued to each page while living through the believable characters. R J GRAY you have outdone yourself again!
This is the second book in the Veterans of Valhalla series and it is a story of Mitch and Mia. He is part of Valhalla and runs the dog training center, she is a pediatric ICU nurse. This is a DD/l story. She has all the care, affection and love for her patients, that she never received as a child. He cares for her , wants to be her DD and the love of her life. This book is full of suspense, betrayal, intrigue, twists and turns. It is well written and has wonderful characters. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Mitch and Mia were good together. Mia could be a lit bit of a brat and overreacted a bit but Mitch was always there to make sure she didn't spiral out of control and that she took care of herself. Their challenges primarily came from outside, Mia didn't have great parents and that still impacted as an adult. She did stand up to her parents and did a great job moving on from how they treated her as a child. They also have some drama with someone poisoning several of their dogs prior to a competition and looking to get revenge from a drug cartel. A very enjoyable fast paced read.

I am really loving this series and the potential it has for a lot more good stories. Mitch and Mia are a fun, sweet couple that I was looking forward to getting to know after reading about them in book one. I don't typically read age play books because it's just not my thing, but I love this author and this world she has created so I gave it a go and I am so glad I didn't skip this book. It is just light and sweet. The supporting characters and the development of their friendships is super good. I'm definitely invested in this little world R.J. has created and I'm excited for the next story!
This story focuses on Mitch and Mia. Mitch runs Paws Your Six. Mia had an unusual childhood - which results in her having anxiety, and being a “little”.
There is still danger from the cartel - and that may be getting a little too close in this episode.
Danger, relationships, family and team all play a big role in the crafting of this delightfully entertaining story.

Woohoo we get Mitch's aka Mace and Mia story. This is the second book of Veteran's Of Valhalla series and R.J. Gray didn't disappoint us with their DDLG and Explosive Chemisty and of course being an out of control brat needs to be put in her place a time or two,but nothing a good spanking to cure that. This was such a fantastic story that had me on the edge of my seat and also the heartbreak of losing one of their own . Oh and new twist and turns and one I'm still needing more answers as I'm sure Mitch and Team are as well. Kudos for another fantastic book and so excited for the next book.
Mia and Mace's relationship is different. Mia has some deeply rooted issue that come from her childhood that she has trouble with. This is a good story and I love how he helps her to be herself . The Veteran's of Valhalla are different in how the want their women but are heroes that deserve respect.

Mace is an extremely well written and highly captivating military romance about the evolving relationship between a Daddy Dom and his Little Girl in the midst of unfolding crime and danger. This was a fantastic read. The plot is robust and very well executed, full of action and suspense that keeps the pages on your kindle turning, and the characters are so solid and extremely well built that you can’t help but invest in them. I really fell in love with Mich and Mia; I absolutely love their dynamic and the amazing chemistry between them, it is so incredibly well done. RJ Gray has balanced and intermingled the danger with the developing romance beautifully. I’ll definitely be reading this one again, and am very much looking forward to the next book in the series.
This is book two of the Veterans of Valhalla series. Mitch (Mace) runs the dog training center on Valhalla. Mia is a pediatric ICU nurse who shows her patients the love that she never received as a child. She is also a Little. Mia's traumatic childhood carries over into her adulthood, but Mitch cares for Mia and he wants to be both her Daddy and her love. He wants to be there for her when she is overwhelmed by life and when she is just enjoying the freedom of being a Little.
There is a mystery that is running through the series of the books about the men of Valhalla. They are close and work together to keep both their Littles and Valhalla safe. Each man has his own story and they are all so well written. You rejoice and despair with them. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Book Two in this series, and it's a great read. A different dynamic, a Daddy and a Little. Throw in some Cartel action, poison, and other stresses and you've got one wild ride of a read. Loved the balancing of the two personas, how it's not as easy as it looks. Loved the descriptions about emotions, aftershocks, tangled ball of yarn, knots and loved the family atmosphere of Valhalla in general. Can't wait to read the next chapter. I'm hooked.
Great story! I loved the dynamic of Mia and Mitch. The story has danger, suspense and the build of these characters is wonderful. This compound that has main heading for the series is home to “Paws Your 6”. I truly appreciate the nod to the Military in these stories in RJ Gray’s VALHALLA series. The emotional journey Mitch and Mia take is one I gladly went along with.
All the feels and a bit of intrigue and suspense thrown in the mix. This author always manages to create characters that make you want to know them. They are multi-faceted, show true depth of emotion, and are flawed in ways that make them more human and realistic. I love this storyline, and the camaraderie between the team and their care for their women and each other makes you leave your life behind as you lose yourself in the words she weaves. Fabulous stories - can’t wait for the next one!
Emotional rollercoaster for sure. Great dynamics and deep delve into the way to make relationships work, any relationships. I love the care RJ takes with her characters, no 2 dimensional paper cutouts here!
First, I'm not a fan of BDSM stories but love K9 which drew me to the story as well as the veteran's side. However, when I review I only look at the story and not my preferences. This is a really good book. The BDSM part was new to me but not hard-core.
Now, Mia is a little to Mace her “DaddyDom” are fairly new to their relationship but care a lot. He is very good and consistent with her, especially when he learns the heartbreak of her growing up. When she's an adult Mia is a nurse for preemies and sick babies. Seeing the two Mia's is amazing.
He owns a K9 business with breeding and training dogs for military and professional use. He's also involved with Valhalla a vet retreat compound plus more. Although he's not officially part he is friends with most of the owners and staff.
Their connections with a Cartel, hindering their actions, have put them in a precarious position. Will the enemy keep their relationship from growing or put them in danger of their lives? Will her fragile mental state be irreparably harmed?
An intense story with wonderful characters. I recommend you read and heed the author's warning and if you feel the story is for you you have a real treat in store. Reviewed for Words Turn Me On
Next up in Veterans of Valhalla series are Mace and Mia...a Daddy Dom and his Little. As the owner of a thriving K9 training and breeding facility, Mitch "Mace" Anderson is a busy man but the day he met Mia Shaw was his best day ever. As a Daddy he recognizes the Little in Mia and pursues the dynamic. Her need for boundaries, rules and discipline fairly screams out at him. She may be a well trained, highly successful pediatric ICU nurse but her personal life is in utter disarray. Slowly but surely he guides Mia on her Little journey they both hard and fast. Learning of her horrendously psychological and emotionally abused background has all the final pieces falling into place. The problems from the cartel that the Valhalla team thought had been dealt with rears its murderous head again and also reaches into Mace's business. While she isn't the focus of the threats it doesn't mean that Mia isn't touched by the ramifications.
Mitch Anderson has found his little girl. He only has to help Mia realize that he is the one for her. What better way than to spend some time together with Paws Your Six the K9 dog trials, right? Mia Shaw is pretty sure that Mitch is the Daddy for her. But she also doesn't know how to put her past behind her.
Loved, loved, loved this book!! This is the second book in the Veterans of Valhalla series. You don't really have to read the first but I highly recommend it! I love how there's a little bit of everything in this book. You get the Daddy/little relationship (it's in the blurb people!) while also getting a bit of suspense. Mace was an awesome Daddy that could be honest, even if he was wrong. I loved how Mia was able to communicate her wants and needs.
I can't wait for the next book in this series. There's a couple of little nuggets at the end and I can't wait to see where it goes!! 🖤
Mace and Mia’s story is so sweet yet very powerful! There is so much emotion wrapped up in this book. There is anger, suspense, fear, love, sweetness. It has it all! Mace is the second book in the Valhalla series and while the first book was epic, the second book did not disappoint!! RJ Gray has a style of writing that keeps you on the edge wondering what will happen next. I can never find a good stopping point and just have to keep reading to see how the story will unfold because there are so many times I think I know what will happen next and I end up pleasantly surprised! I love how she can capture so much emotion in her books.

In the interest of full disclosure DDlg is not my bag, however. I really LOVED this book. Mace is a kind and caring Daddy dom and Mia is the cutest little. Despite this not being my kink, I really enjoyed the story. It was well written and engaging. The reason I say that is it possible to not have that particular kink and still enjoy the story, the two aren't mutually exclusive. RJ delivers characters consistently that capture my heart and at times fuel my own fantasies. I cannot wait for the next Veterans of Valhalla novel. Bring it on!!!!
