It’s her time to follow her dreams.

After years of postponing her desires to help those she loves, Lulah is ready to take the plunge, traveling the world and focusing on her art.

But a sexy and ambitious chef has other plans for her.

Des Jordan is talented, driven, and about to open his first restaurant. He wants Lulah to create a mural for the space. But the artist isn’t interested until Des makes her an offer that she’d be crazy to refuse.

Spending their days and nights together, Des and Lulah’s attraction to one another grows until it explodes into a night of passion. Neither is interested in pursuing a romantic relationship that might disrupt their ambitions, so they agree to a “friends with benefits” relationship while Lulah remains in town.

But what happens when their temporary arrangement begins to feel like something more?

Note: Each book in the Mouthwatering series is a standalone story with its own HEA!

It was a great thrill when I saw my first story in hardcover. Okay, so the book was titled Super Pickle and was part of a grade school assignment, but it did start me on this journey of wanting to write a good story and make readers happy.

After growing up preppy on the East Coast and living yuppy on the West Coast, I now reside in the Midwest where I enjoy the cheese curds and gorgeous sunsets, try to avoid slamming my car into the kamikaze diving birds, and battle my Rhodesian Ridgeback/ Labrador Retriever for supremacy of the bed.

Book 2 picks up right where book 1 left off. Lulah comes for a visit for Charlie’s restaurant opening and does an art installation and it catches the eye of another restaurant owner, Des. He commissions her to do a mural for his opening in a few months. Over the coming weeks and months, Des and Lulah grow closer and closer. What started out as just another job soon became more. The relationship that they have is very believable. It has ups and downs. Twists and turns. Not everything is rainbow and sunshine. It shows the reality and disagreement that happen about life.

Cute

First time reading this author.
It took me a long time to finish this book. It never really drew me in.
The writing style was a bit much for me, I think the first paragraph contained unnecessarily obscure adjectives and that always puts me in a mood.
The characters were well written, everyone had a sob story. I'm not sure if I actually liked any of the characters.
I will go back and quickly try to figure out her living situation, because I think she is still paying rent somewhere...

This delightful follow-up delivers!

Lulah was one of my favorite things about Food Fight!, so I was thrilled Thea Lambert chose to tell her story in book two in the Mouth Watering series. She's just as funny and feisty as ever, and has certainly met her match in Des. Handsome and headstrong, he's hot in all the right ways. I love that the books in this series are stand-alone stories, but it was nice seeing Charlie and Drew again, as well. Can't wait for the next in the series!

Sex on a Plate

This was exciting as I traveled through the pages of this story. You knew they were going to be together but at what expense. I loved the way the writer wrote the characters and how everything came together. I think I expected something different from the title. Great job.

Explicit. It had some interesting parts, but I mostly felt a little bored.
