Christmas Eve at Castle Calder is everything I hoped it would be. Gorgeous. Festive. Magical. It’s perfect. Except my mother is following me around like a lost puppy. And I haven’t seen Jasper alone for more than ten minutes, which isn’t enough for a satisfying kiss, let alone anything more satisfying. Add to that everyone’s asking when he and I are getting married, and well…okay, I lied. It’s perfectly stressful, especially the wedding talk.
Jasper and I are happy. I love him. He loves me. We’ve never talked about marriage, but the broken engagement in my past has made me a little wedding-shy, which Jasper knows. If he were going to propose, he wouldn’t just spring it on me. And it sure as hell wouldn’t be over Christmas pudding in front of all of our friends and family. Would it?
Brenda is a USA Today bestselling author living in the English countryside. Originally from New York, she's lived in the UK long enough to gain dual citizenship, but still doesn’t understand Celsius. However, she has learned the appropriate use of the word “pants”. And how to order a proper bacon bap/barm/buttie. Because, well, bacon.
Brenda writes contemporary romance to make you giggle and swoon. When she’s not writing, she enjoys hiking, running and reading. In theory, she also enjoys cooking, but it’s more that she enjoys eating and, try as she might, she can’t live on Doritos alone.
This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I wish I would have read them in order. But being the holidays I wanted to read this one now. This was such a cute Novella. I was a little confused with the characters and who they were to each other but that’s my own fault for reading this series out of order. I really did enjoy this book and cant wait to find out how Jasper and Bea met in the first book.
