I actually liked this one better than the first in the series! There was a lot of action and adventure! I adored the FMC, she definitely was a take charge type!

Lone Ranger finds his sidekick

Dragon Prince Ranger fights his way out of a slaver’s cell only to be intercepted by the woman he recognizes as his mate. He’s shocked. Sidney hears the escaped prisoner’s tale of slavers. She’s shocked. When Sidney confirms Ranger’s accusation, she’s devastated. But two honorable beings can’t let evil triumph, so off they go to end the slavers and save Sidney’s people. I don’t know which was more satisfying - the Great Rescue or the flaming hot Great Romance. I loved the whole thing. Woo Hoo!!

I read this immediately following book 1 (and right before book 3) … this was a quick, fun read and it’s really light, despite the dark subject matter because the author doesn’t show a ton of the world, and she focuses more on the romance.

3.5 stars.

The narrator spoke really slowly, I had to bump up the speed to 3.0 in order to tolerate it, but once I did that it was good enough.

This is a cute very fast no heavy lifting story, to enjoy it you will have to ignore the multitude of plot holes and things that make no sense.

Sidney is the one that keeps the settlement she’s on machines running. Have no clue how she came about this knowledge but she has it and many are depending on her keeping them breathing cleanish air.

Ranger is a dragon prince that is now a hostage soon to be sold as a humanoid commodity. Don’t really know all of the reasons that he’s in the predicament that he’s in, but at least he kept the fact that he’s a dragon under wraps while he was kidnapped.

Bang with a whammie and Ranger realizes that Sidney is his mate and now he has to figure out if he can trust her since she’s with the slavers. Ranger has to stop both of them from being sold, get around to telling her she’s his mate and let’s not forget that he’s a prince in the mix.

There are soo many things that don’t make sense, I won’t give too much away but here’s a small taste. Sidney for the first time in her life is going to leave her planet and travel in space, she’s super excited. However, no one on the spaceship seems to want her there, they are all hostile to her and these are people she has known her entire life. Then for some reason the people have monikers and not regular names, there’s Boar, Cyclone, Hog, Crow…not sure why that is and there is no explanation. Maybe I’m thinking to human and that’s how things roll in this part of outer space?!?!

The plot holes have you scratching your head the further into the story you go, but Sidney and Ranger are rather cute so you go along with it…even though your brain keeps going, wait what? How does that even make sense?

So in reality for me this is a 2 and half star read, but I kept it at a 3 star because it wasn’t awful just not within the realm of making any sense.

I purchased this audiobook.
I am a sucker for a good novella. I am a sucker for dragon stories. Give me both on an audio and I am SOLD!!!
Again with all novellas you know they will be an instalove and I am all for it. This book was about Ranger, Crux brother, and Sidney. He is thinking he is saving some people only to be kidnapped. Sidney I excited to be helping her “family” out on their ship when she meets Ranger escaping. Needless to say she is stunned to learn how awful her “family” really is.
The story was quick. They had some sexy times and some bater. Sidney didn’t put up with Ranger and he was ever the gentleman helping her people. I liked the story well enough. I just felt, like with the first book, I wanted more insight to the king and AFTER they come home. We have all this fear of him disliking “humans” and his dislike for Sidney but why??? So if I have any complaint is that I wish there was more information as to this dilemma.

A wonderful read I loved the book and the characters were simply amazing
This is a wonderful read that I enjoyed every single moment of and I am sure that other readers will feel exactly the same as myself, this was the second book in this series and I have to say that it was s wonderful addition to the series.
The Alien dragon prince is simply wonderful and I am sure that you will enjoy every single page of this book, the human mechanic has been captured by aliens and is about to be sold to only god knows who and then everything changed.
She is s female mechanic which is unknown in his society, he knows that she is his mate and that he cannot possibly get enough of her and their relationship is instantaneous and he knows that he would want to keep her always.
This is a wonderful book and I am sure that you are going to enjoy every single moment of this great book.

I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

Ranger is not exactly happy with himself at being captured by slavers but is determined that he will not be sold on the open market but how to escape. Sidney was a foundling who had been raised on a poor and barren planet by the community who lived there. She has been raised to be very good with mechanics and does the best she can with the limited resources at her disposal but there is only so much she can do and with the air quality and water quality being close to completely toxic she is at her wits end. When she gets taken on the community's ship to their next run she discovers Ranger and is horrified to learn that the settlement has been run on the proceeds of slavery. Ranger recognises Sidney as his mate the second she redirects his fire but convincing her of the guilt of the people she considers family will have to take precedence over their bond. Join Ranger and Sidney as they do their best to save her community from a slaver ring and build a new life for themselves and her, very, extended family.

Ranger is on a mission to locate his missing brother. How or why his brother should be on the forsaken pplanet he is currently on he has no idea but his day gets worse when he is captured by a group of humans. Beaten and locked up he is ready to roast the next person who comes anywhere near him so when the next is a small female who seems impervious to his flames, he has rather a shock. It would appear that at the worst of times his mate has been sent to him! Sidney has escaped the settlement to go into space for the first time and nearly the first thing that happens, on her first day no less, is she finds out just what sort of "cargo" they are carrying. She cannot abide slavery nor can she stand by and let Ranger be sold off. She hatches a plan to free him only for him to grab her and keep her with him at the last minute. He is kind, resourceful and gentle with her. Could he be her future?
I loved the names of the people in the settlement. How sweet and gentle Ranger is and how adaptable Sidney is. Survivors both. They make a great team!

This is a well written short story. It’s fast paced with some action, a couple of rescues, fated mates and steamy scenes that ends in a happily ever after. The characters are great and the chemistry between Sidney and Ranger is off the charts.

Ranger was looking for his brother when he answered a distress signal. Big mistake on his part as he is taken by human slavers to be sold at auction. Sidney is a mechanic and is on her first mission with the crew from the settlement. When she finds Ranger she’s shocked to say the least. The settlement is against slavery and she never thought it could be happening under her nose. She leads Ranger to an escape pod but he pulls her in with him. She’s angry at first until they come across her leader at a slave market. With a threat looming over the settlement Sidney and Ranger must work fast in order to save them. Ranger knows one thing though, and that’s making sure his mate is safe.

My favorite part of this book is how logical and understanding the heroine is. Like. She's smart but makes the best (within reason) decisions, and if she doesn't it is just enough to be like - well that makes sense. The two do have a pull to each other, and are honestly really cute together than it gets you to to sometimes forget the plot holes/unnecessary things that were mentioned (Such as Sidney and her going off to space for the first time, etc)

I have to admit though the conclusion/end arc wrapped up VERY VERY fast though. It doesn't give a full insight to what happened with the king (since he doesn't approve) and that was mentioned since the beginning. Not that I think a whole arc about how the dad hates her would've been at all good, but it had sounded like that would've been a pain point in the relationship/for the ML - when it just gets tidied up in the end as "Oh he doesn't approve oh well."

However as a scifi alien short romance, I enjoyed it a lot!

This book was enjoyable and the characters where amazing. Sidney is the ships mechanic and loves her job but she expected to find was a gorgeous alien man being held in a cell and when he tells her he was kidnapped and will be sold off as a slave Sidney is angry and refuses to be involved in slave trading and decides to help him out. Prince Ranger has been kidnapped and will be sold off as a slave but what his captors don’t know is that he is a dragon shifter and was ready to break free when a beautiful human female stumbles across him Sidney is her name and his dragon wants her because she is his mate. Ranger is as hot as and all Sidney can think about is to be with him and doesn’t understand why she is so drawn to this man. Now they are trying to say alive and to keep everyone else safe but can they have a future together when he is a prince and she is a human and even when they are driving each other crazy. Great book

Ranger is kidnapped to be sold into slavery but rescued by Sidney.
Dragon shifter Ranger is the son of the Dragon King of Vemion is lured by a distress call and kidnapped dragged down a corridor and thrown into a dark room. He needs to get out and escape as they are planning to sell him into slavery but finds the walls too strong for him to damage and when he changes to his dragon form even his fire will not damage the walls. Mechanic Sidney is asked to work on the ship when it comes to the settlement and is both scared and excited by the idea until in the Mess she overhears talk of merchandise and selling him. Sidney realizes that if the cargo is "him" then they are slavers and she wants nothing to do with that. Looking at the ship's reading to find out what needs repairing she notices that one area is reading as very hot so she goes to investigate.

Ranger is a dragon Prince who gets taken by slavers to be sold at a slave market. Sidney is a human woman living in a settlement her entire life when she is brought on as a mechanic to the ship that Ranger is being held against his will on. Their paths cross, and Ranger realizes how important she is to him, vowing to himself to take her with him in his escape and get to know each other more. But before they can solve their happily ever after, they will have to help Sidney's people first. I liked that Ranger's devotion never wavered, and he always put Sidney's needs and wants before his own. Sidney may not have been a dragon who knows about fated mates, but in every interaction with Ranger she let herself be guided by her strong feelings for him and her deep trust in him.

She is called to work on ship that supports the planet when the regular ship's mechanic is injured. I really enjoyed this book. It was a fun adventure. Ranger is a prince and an alien dragon shifter. He is captured and locked in a cell by human slavers on their ship. Alone, he begins working against the wall with his dragon fire and claws, determined to escape. Sydney was just hired as a mechanic for the ship to replace the previous one who was sick. But her instincts began to tell her something was wrong when crewmembers acted suspicious or hostile towards her being there. When she overhears about living cargo, she goes to investigate and finds Ranger escaping. When she somehow deflects his fire back at him, he realizes she's his mate and tells her he was lured in and captured to be sold into slavery. When she realizes the crew are all slavers, she promises to help him escape from the ship. A good story. 4 stars.

loved it !!! love this series !!! love Ranger and Sidney... this is their story... a fast paced shorter story... Ranger is a dragon prince... he went to help a ship in distress... scam... they took him and plan to sell him into slavery...Sidney is a mechanic for her colony... when the ships mechanic falls ill , she gets the chance of a lifetime... to be in space... to fly...but, it's not like that... she explores the ship ... and comes across Ranger... and he tells her that he is a captive and they are going to sell him... at first , she can't believe it... her people won't do that !!! she learns the truth... she must help Ranger get away and save her fellow colonists... twists and turns , betrayal and more... a really good story... Ranger is Crux's younger brother...

This is the third book in this series which is about Prince Ranger and Sidney. Ranger is looking for his brother Crux so he follows the advice of the fortune teller that guided Crux to find his true love. Ranger traveling in space gets a S.O.S. signal and investigates it, only to be capture by humans and put in a cell. Ranger finds himself to be sold as a slave. Sidney fixes the machines around the settlement when she's told Boar wants to talk with her. Boar tells Sidney that he needs her on the ship. Then she hears about the merchandise and goes to her work station. While there a heat sensor alert is coming from the cargo area and she goes to check it and finds Ranger who escaped his cell. What happens afterward was a engaging story that I enjoyed reading. I volunteer to read and review this ARC that I received via Booksprout.

Ranger went looking for his missing brother and found a whole heap of trouble.

Ranger is a prince and yet he finds himself needing the aid of human female to escape from Slavers. But things don't go easy for our intrepid duo. Sidney is the settlements mechanic but she got sent with her off-world colleagues when their mech is out of action. Sidney then sees just how backwater and out of the loop her people are - and what they are willing to overlook!

Sidney and Ranger are really fun together. He should be the one doing the protecting, and he does...eventually! Sidney hasn't met a machine she couldn't fix somehow and he's the warrior prince - they really should never have met but fate (or the Matchmaker) had other ideas.

Quick, quirky read with opposites attract.

Ranger answered a distress call but instead he was captured by human slavers he was worn out so they easily captured him the slavers didn’t know that he was a dragon prince so he could of brought his dragon forward but he didn’t and when he was thrown into a room they knocked him out with gas. Sydney is an engineer she lives in a colony on an barely habitable planet, she is taken on board the ship to help with any mechanical problems she overhears people saying once they sell him she didn’t believe it and when she meets Ranger she knew that it was true and she promised to help him but Sydney didn’t know that Ranger was planning to take his mate with him. Fantastic story I loved it and I highly recommend this book it’s well worth the read.

Ranger is the spare, the second son of dragon shifting royalty and a bit of an adventerous soul. When he finds himself captured by slavers, he bides his time to see what's going to happen. When he escapes his cell he finds himself face to face with his mate! Sidney is an orphan and has lived her life not knowing who her family was, scratching out a life as a mechanic. While working together, the hemistry and bond grows, but they find Sidney's wold and all her "family" there are thretened with destruction. The book is full of steam, action, some twists, and more. Great read from start to finish. His brother Saber's story is up next. I can't wait.

This short sci-fi romance was a fun romp! The world building was competently sketched out in a short word count, and the hero and heroine were both sympathetic individuals. There was some cute snarky internal dialogue that I enjoyed. There was plenty of action and danger, so the stakes were high and the pacing flew by. The plot sometimes hinged on the protagonists making foolish choices, which was irritating, but I enjoyed the story despite that. Would I buy a copy of this story? No, but I would absolutely check it out via KU if it was available that way.

Ranger wasn't expecting to meet his fated mate when he gets captured by slavers, but Sydney doesn't know that her people are slavers and she vows to help him escape even though she doesn't want to be parted from him. He recognizes the mate bond even though he's surprised that she's human. He's determined that they're going to be together whether she knows it or not. He has to keep her safe. Lots of action and adventure, great characters. If I had one complaint, it would be that it could have been a little longer. Great storyline and worldbuilding. A really great read.

It’s books like this that I want more I wish they were longer. We’ve now established there are different colonies and planets and things like that from the first book and then we meet ranger who is another prince sibling. He was captured and was going to be sold until he made Sydney who I’ve been ounce to her ends up saving him and then tries to save her colony.
It’s a fascinating book and I really wish it was more I want to know what happens next with these two. I really felt that connection in a way I didn’t read the first book as much still really good but I like this couple more.
Again enjoying the narration.

This is the second book in the series but it can be read as a standalone. Ranger is a prince but ends up a prisoner, little did they know that captured a dragon. Sidney is a mechanic and unhappy to learn they plan to sell Ranger into slavery. If she helps her and everyone she loves will be in danger. Can she trust this dragon prince? Fast-paced read with great world building, plenty of drama and suspense and great characters. The story is entertaining and they chemistry is steamy. I liked it.

This was a wonderful Sci-Fi Romance read of a Dragon Prince, Ranger finding his mate amidst the crew of human slavers who have captured him. Sydney was put on at the last minute as a crew member and has no idea what her Captain and crew mates are up to but when she discovers Ranger she’s determined to help him escape.
The story is well written with two likable lead characters lots of action, intrigue and spicy romance that expertly bring the narrative to life delivering a very enjoyable read. HEA

RANGER AND SIDNEY EXERCISE THEIR MORALS

Ranger is Crux’s brother and a dragon-shifter prince. Sidney is a human woman on a mining planet. Ranger is taken prisoner when answering a distress call. This story reminds me of how people will ignore the wrongdoings of others as long as there is a benefit to them. I love the way Ranger takes care of Sidney’s settlement and the fact that neither Sidney nor Ranger believe in slavery.

Ranger is a prince dragon shifter who's been captured by slavers and put in a cage for sale. Sidney is a mechanic that happens to be on the ship because the main mechanic got ill. She happens to find Ranger in a cage and Ranger tell her why he's in the cage. Sidney doesn't believe in slavery so she has to help save him. Plenty of twists, betrayal, dragon magic, adventure, action, drama, intrigue, suspense, romance, and love. Love the characters of Ranger and Sidney.
