Sasha loves her life at Coco Bay Island Resort. With a recent promotion from receptionist to co-assistant manager—not to mention the ongoing opportunity to live and work with her best friends—everything is perfect.
Well, except for one tiny thing. Sasha has never had much luck in the boyfriend department, and the only guy she’s ever been interested in is event planner Dash, a Channing Tatum lookalike who is oblivious to her affections.
But when a resort guest insists that Sasha work with Dash on an upcoming wedding, they are suddenly thrust into a three-month-long high-pressure environment. Sasha can no longer hide from Dash, and Dash has no option but to get to know Sasha.
As expected, things get off to a rocky start, and when a mystery investor arrives at the island, the situation only gets worse. Sudden changes in the corporate hierarchy and bizarre managerial decisions mean that not only the wedding, but the entire resort’s future is in jeopardy.
Can Sasha survive the chaos, make the wedding a success, and end up with her dream guy?
This was pretty mid and I can't say I was a fan of the plot twists. It was entirely too chaotic and clogged with too much dialogue. What I'm sure was supposed to be a romance cum suspense plot quickly morphed into multiple disjointed scenes.
A few pages into chapter ONE - and the eejit twat of a heroine gets wasted and spews on her crush's shoes. Wtf 🙄😑.
You know, the awkward, clumsy heroines who manage to consistently make stupid choices or make utter fools of themselves at least once each chapter have to have outlived their dubious 'charm' by now. Haven't they??
To be fair, I have never found such characters charming or relatable - or even amusing. They are embarrassing, is what they are.
And I can promise you I will never find a hero even remotely attractive after reading his panicked flight to the bogs in an attempt to avoid soiling his trousers. Apparently this smart, meticulous specimen thought eating abandoned food from the fridge was safe.
Today's writers clearly believe that in order for a rom-com to be funny it must contain large amounts of crass humour, stupidity or characters that make one ashamed of their gender.
If this is anyone's thing, go for it. You do you. I'll stick to my standards and bin this mess.

Sasha works at Coco Bay Island Resort 🏝 She’s been promoted from receptionist to co-assistant manager and has a wonderful life. Unfortunately she’s unlucky in the love department; Sasha has feelings for her colleague, Dash an event planner who is unaware of Sasha’s interest in him.
When Sasha finds herself working on a wedding project with Dash, she can no longer hide her feelings and Dash has no option but get to know Sasha.
4-4.5🌟 stars This sweet romance is good entertainment with something constantly going on and creating concern or trouble on what should be a laid back island resort off the Australian coast. The staff seem plagued by headaches and trying times rather than deep angst except for the long-term, unspoken & unrequited attachment resort assistant manager Sasha has for Dash, the events coordinator. Sasha keeps seeing any romantic possibilities with Dash get stymied, not least of which by Dash's disparaging attitude toward her contributions to their joint work assignment.
I liked that the women in this novel (even the villains) have the stronger personalities and wills. I loved Sasha's attitude, resourcefulness, competence and her strong family and ethical values. Dash not so much: he is a bit too judgmental initially but he does eventually see the light and understand the error of his ways.
This is an easy read with lots going on as a new investor and a wedding have the hitherto content resort staff dealing with highhandedness, unwanted personnel changes and even a bit of mysterious sabotage. Not a great atmosphere for love to flourish but somehow, someway, Sasha, Dash, Noel and Emily get some time and opportunity for light romancing.
Sasha and Dash both work at the resort, keeping busy as a wedding and more are about to happen. Dash is oblivious to the feelings Sasha wears on her sleeve, but he eventually takes notice. Several stories are going on as these two open up and learn more about each other. There is also the wedding planning and issues with catering, flowers and the band. The trouble affecting the resort such as personnel issues and sabotage to plans and events. No one seems to have an easy day anymore. The characters are strong, determined and work together to stop the trouble. The storyline has drama, danger, surprises, intense feelings and situations and some steam. Loved how everyone brought ideas to the table so that the events still happened well. Sasha and Dash have a great time as they realize they do make a great team and more. Great ending.

I loved both books (plus the prequel) in this series so far. In Love at Coco Bay, I thought Ms. McManus did a great job with the development of the relationship and interactions between Sasha and Dash. At first I really did not care so much for Dash and his opinions; however, as the story progressed and he made some shifts in his attitudes and perspectives, I found him to be a suitable partner for Sasha (who I loved right from the start!). And I think it worked well for the rom-com scenario for the pair to face some challenges, miscommunications, and misalignment in their interactions. All in all, I have really enjoyed the plots, characters, setting, and dialog in Ms. McManus's Coco Bay series, and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a sweet, clean, light read with some humor and romance.
A fun, well written rom-com that is sure to please! A sweet, fun romance with great characters and setting. Love the drama that's woven throughout as well as the character development. Enough laughs to keep this rom com lover happy. While I think this is book 2 in a series, this is the first I've read and so can be read as a stand alone - but I'm definitely looking forward to more from McManus!

A fun, entertaining and a few laugh out loud moments make this an enjoyable rom com. The story keeps you turning the pages to see what will happen next. The characters are well developed, easy to get to know and just as entertaining as the story.

I loved this story, Kirsty did a great job of telling it. I was wondering if Dash was ever get his head out of his ...... I was kept wondering who was sabotaging the wedding and it was a very interesting ending. Lots of things happening all the time kept me turning pages.
Wonderful and witty romance story with just a few bumps along the way. Entertaining characters to follow along in the story. Witty banter and interaction between the characters makes for a fun and entertaining story. Good read.

This is the 5th book I've read written by Kirsty McManus; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
This is the 2nd book in the Coco Bay Series; it is a stand-alone book. The story is about Sasha & Dash; they get forced to work together on an upcoming wedding.

Love at Coco Bay is a great sweet romance book. It is fun and interesting. I love the setting of Coco Bay resort. There is lots of drama and surprises happening at the resort. The book is entertaining and romantic. I really enjoyed this book.
I am a fan of McManus’ writing. I always feel right at home in her books. And this was no different. Well written, in a way that made the world around me disappear. It had the right tone, lighthearted and romantic. Just what this girl needed!
3.5 I like this author, and these books are light and perfect for bedtime reading. The back and forth and miscommunication that could be easily avoided annoy me a bit, but I understand how it’s needed to move the plot along. Overall, cute and fun!
I really don’t like giving 3 stars, I didn’t hate the book but I just don’t think this kind of book is for me. I didn’t really connect with it and I don’t know what it was but something was missing. The book was just too much. Sorry
The premise was interesting enough for a romance quick-read. It's a bit one dimensional, with awkward dialogue. I did finish it, but mostly because it was so short. When a book offers various character perspectives, but can't change the 'voice' of the narrator, things just fall flat.
