The good
+ Vex not waiting around to get rescued, but just saving himself
+ Lucifer fanboying over his Vex-Gramiel ship
+ LM FUCKS GOATS. I bet secretly enjoyed writing that very much
+ Vex using his magic to its limits
+ Gramiel arriving in Hell on a fucking motorcycle
+
+ The disability rep in these books is so good. Characters' disabilities never make them helpless or define them as a person, they just are and that's it

The neutral
o The epilogue was a little boring, but I did like to see Vex and Gramiel happy

The bad
- Those three demons were in a relationship with that dwarf, but after her initial introduction they have always been referred to as a trio and never mentioned their fourth mate again
- What eventually happened to ? They were going to be tried and punished, but the results of that were never discussed

Quotes
x "He's been my fiancé for ages. My boyfriend even longer. My beloved for even longer than that. I've been in love with him for decades, proudly, and as soon as we're done with you and your nonsense, I'm going to take him to the countryside and marry him in the most picturesque meadow I can find. There will be wildflowers. There will be a band. There will be a fucking rainbow, even if I have to conjure the thing myself. And there will be your skull, hollowed out and placed right next to our wedding cake, filled with white carnations or possibly lemon macaroons. That's our future, buddy boy."

This series was great, and I would definitely recommend it. The humor is just right, and the characters are lovely. It's also very unique, so now I don't really know what to do next. Read more T.J. Land, probably.

Vex vs. Lucifer! Of course Vex can't fight fair, so he doesn't, hatching a plot while at the worst of disadvantages. I rooted for him all through this, and I thought this was a good ending for the series, showing how big Vex's heart really is, despite his murderous exterior.
