scene one

suddenly, smoke pours into the room, and the smell of gasoline becomes overwhelming. flames erupt around us, starting off small, and then growing larger. quinn stares up at me with fear, unsettled, as I continue to fuck her mercilessly.
❝ghost,❞ she chokes out.
❝you're safe. take off my mask, baby,❞ i instruct, and she listens. ❝that’s my good girl. now put it on.❞
~~~THAT’S MY GOOD GIRL!?🫠🦋help. no because these three men just got done killing the men who bullied her in the past. they set the haunted house on fire and this man, ghostface, fucks her inside the haunted house while it’s burning down…i- please- i got bullied too, come to my rescue next.

scene two

after turning and walking down a side street, the back heels of my feet are blistered and throbbing. slowing my pace, i try to take my mind off the discomfort, although it's useless. kneeling, i untie my heels and pull them off, holding onto michael's arm to keep myself steady.
❝you good?❞ jason asks.
nodding slightly, i hold onto my heels and continue to follow behind them. ❝i’m fine,❞ i say, sharp pebbles from the concrete jabbing the soles of my feet. i wince.
❝give me them,❞ jason says, taking my heels.
ghost stands in front of me, blocking my path as i come to a stop. before i can even make sense of it, he lifts me from the ground and scoops me into his arms as if i weigh nothing.
❝you don't need to carry me,❞ i rush out, taken aback.
❝i can walk. really.❞
❝i want you against me,❞ he breathes.
❝you keep protecting me. why?❞

frowning, i shake my head. ❝what does that even mean?❞

This was entertaining in the same way that crappy reality shows and cult classic movies are.

It gives you plenty of violence and a variety of sex layered with the Halloween spirit.

The dialogue definitely feels like a porn script, a bad one at that. I was hoping for a twist or two but sadly there were none.

If you come into this with no expectations you’ll have a fairly good time.

Quinn is going to a Halloween parts. When she is molested by one of the guests, Ghostface, Michael and Jason (great reference to those famous movie characters) enter her life (in the truest sense of the word). The three protect her and take revenge for all the insults she had to suffer from bullies at school. What else is going on between them (you can certainly guess it)? What kind of people are the three masked men? The author takes you on a Halloween rollercoaster ride full of mystery, uncanny elements, banging scenes (everything imaginable) and fighting the law. Will Quinn survive this special Halloween? Entertaining piece of fiction with good references to Halloween (music and the movie), three of the most notorious movie characters ever and some spine tingling intense sex scenes. Happy Halloween to all of you. Maybe not that over the top as described here... really recommended!

If you’re craving a short, extra-spicy story with morally grey men who would burn the world for their girl and an intoxicatingly eerie atmosphere, this is your go-to Halloween read. 🖤🔥🎃

The POWER MOVE that is this author thanking her mother in the acknowledgements of this book. I absolutely fucking lost it.

But that's pretty on par with what was going on in this book. Was it good? Absolutely not. It was pretty bad, honestly. The smut was boring and unimaginative and I felt nothing pretty much the entire time. And of course there was only the barest thread of a plot.

But was it funny? Maybe not intentionally, but I laughed a lot.

This was nothing more than the absolute highest tier of wish fulfillment fantasy for anyone who wants to fuck slasher horror movie characters. I spent the entire time with a smile on my face thinking "This madlass really did it. She wrote Dead by Daylight fanfiction and then published it. The absolute lunatic."

Anyway, this was an 84 page novella. I went in with no expectations, and those expectations were met. As I said, I found the smut boring (which is funny because supposedly this is supposed to be a story in which the Main Character has her ~darkest fantasies~ realized. Her darkest fantasies are pretty tame, in my opinion.), the plot was basically "A girl who is not like other girls and was bullied during her childhood is accosted by multiple men at a Halloween party but Ghostface, Michael Myers, and Jason Voorhees step in to save her and they fuck pretty much all night long," and every character was a blank slate.

But, once again, I had no expectations, and this was pretty much what I was imagining it would be.

I definitely could have written this better and made it fun and had the love interests be fucked up—but in the likable way, y'know?

The most fun I had was the brief chapter in which we were in ~Ghostface's~ POV as he killed the MC's bullies. (No, I am not kidding. They all called them her "bullies." Pretty sure this was a grown ass college woman.) That was a pretty good segment. Not at all the level of fucked up I deserved from what seems to be an obsessive mass murderer, but whatever. He then fucked her on the floor of the burning haunted house where her bullies were working, drenched in their blood.

It was a fun time, and I laughed aloud through 85% of it.

Anyway, what I really came out of this with was questions regarding copyright. How does the author dodge getting DMCA'd by writing and publishing this for money? Is it because, technically, the three "love interests" aren't actually Ghostface, Michael Myers, and Jason Voorhees? Is it because they were only dressed as those characters? And the Main Character just happened to never learn their actual names? Is this how I can dodge copyright in publishing fanfiction? Simply have the characters dress as the characters in question and never have anyone give out their real names?

Fascinating. I would love to know.

This gets two stars because it was an entertaining read. But I definitely do not recommend it. Go read some Dead by Daylight fanfiction on AO3. I've read better there—I mean I heard it's better. Yeah. Definitely never went in there myself.

Let’s try to find the logic in any of this.

She decides to have a one-night stand with three masked strangers to fulfill her darkest fantasies. Sure, makes sense, why not? Whatever.

Then the three strangers find out she was bullied in high school and decide to pause the orgy to go and literally murder her bullies… And then they resume the orgy. Suddenly things make less sense.

And the cherry on top: Next morning she sneaks out because it was only a one-night stand. Logic? At this point we don’t know her.

Ghostface, Michael Meyers and Jason Voorhees walk into a party...it could be the start of a joke, but it's actually the premise of this book, in which they save a girl from unwanted advances and help her live out her fantasies for only one night.

It's a pretty standard Halloween novella, Masked Men included. It's almost all smut, with a little killing here and there (bonus points for offing the bullies).

Ghostface (or rather the person wearing his mask) was the one who got the most action, then Jason, Michael was kinda in the background most of the time. That probably balances out in the next books, which I'm planning on reading. But yeah, Ghostie was definitely THEE main character of this read.

Hopefully the next one has a bit more plot.
