Ben Robicheaux has made it his personal mission to work his way through the female population. He was doing just fine until he met a woman trying to get away from a wet t-shirt contest. Normally, he’d be pushing her onstage with the other women, but something about this one makes his heart stop, his head fuzzy, and his gut do the right thing. This book...it will gut you. I happened to be out and about reading when that part happened, tears in my eyes and people asking what was wrong, could they help. I had to tell them I was just reading a book and try to explain what happened and really couldn't. Because it wasn't just the one awful thing, it was the after effects as the reality sunk in, how do you go on from something like that, especially when vengeance is in your heart. Then you get the chance to make the person pay and you realize, some times, as sad as it is, there are accidents and bad choices and we are left to live with that. All of that and it's not even the main couple of the book, but one of the past couples. It was tough, so very tough!
Ben and Harper were good together, had some things to work out and both got advice from the clan that helped. Then there was getting to the bottom of what brought Harper to seek Ben out. That was crazy! Mostly because of how it connected to Harper and how she could have been a casualty, with no thought.
Once again, Mama Irene proves she knows what is going on and will look after her kids..all of her kids, even when they might not want her to.
Ben and Harper were good together, had some things to work out and both got advice from the clan that helped. Then there was getting to the bottom of what brought Harper to seek Ben out. The best in the series
I’ve read all of the Reaper-Seals-Steel Patriots-Reaper Patriots. This one was by far the best written. I wasn’t expecting to cry and laugh and smile and feel every emotion. I don’t want to give any spoilers, but if you’ve read all of them, this one will get you in the heart and you won’t be expecting it. I love how this author has taken the main group so far and still has them playing parts in her books of the next generation.
There a few issues I had. At one point the author had Ajei listed as Tailor’s niece when she’s his sister in law. It also has Luke and Ajei’s son as Colton and young when all the other books had their son as Garrett and in high school. Some word variations done incorrectly (waving vs waiving). With that being said, this one was probably the best edited of all of them. I could overlook these things for the overall story.

Absolutely amazing!!!!
After reading this book all I can say is WOW!!!!! I just couldn't put it down. I loved the storyline and as usual the characters were wonderful. I'm not going to give any spoilers, but I do have to say I sat here shaking my head saying "Why, Mary, why?" as the tears poured down my cheeks. Lots or love, understanding, anger, forgiveness, mercy, and steam. I most definitely recommend this books, this series, this author, and all her other series that tie into this one

Sad but beautiful
Harper and Ben's story started by him rescuing her then sending her home. Ben's is a man whore but when Harper showed up needing his help things changed for him. His family fell in love with Harper and so did Ben. Harper learns some truths about her mother in this sorry
Reading this series for awhile I knew the author would kill someone of sooner or later but was shocked when it was a female member if the family. But in true Nary Kennedy form she showed what the RP men and women stood for love, loyality, brotherhood and family but also mercy

Great!
Astros this rating because this is actually a really great book. I really enjoy all of the characters. This was a book of betrayal, manipulation, compassion, kindness, and believing in yourself. I really enjoy Ben and Harper story. I think the author did an amazing job and putting these two characters together. I think this book was well written. Great read! I recommend this book to all romance readers.

LOVED IT!
I had to table my reading of any of Ms Kennedy's books because I was reading them so much I was overdosing, I was not reading anything else in my collection, so I had to slow down afraid that pretty soon she would run out of characters to write about😣 but I don't even know if that's possible so I'm very happy about that😍 I just love Ms Kennedy's writing and storytelling! and I'm a true patriot because these books touch my heart❤ Her books make me feel patriotic!!!

Read it
I'm giving this book four stars because not only that I love it, I also had a lot of some downs with it. This book had me crying, Like it was me that actually lost someone. It was hard to read because I love all the characters and I didn't want to lose anyone of them. Anyway I'm recommend this book Actually I will recommend all of Mary Kennedy books.

Simply Fantastic!!!
This series gets better by the book. It's near perfect. There's suspense and romance and a little humor. And of course tons of feels. When this series ends I'll cry. The books always feel like coming home.

Gutted.
How can one feel so many emotions in such a short period? I don’t think I can get over her death. I felt bad for both sides. I’m glad Ben found his happy ever after. Buckle up y’all it’s gonna be a fast hard ride! I just love these books.

Mary Kennedy...ex military hot & smart with just as strong as the men!

Ugh
I guess I'm going to be the minority here. I didn't enjoy the book nearly as much as the others. The main reason was the pointless death of a former main character. In my opinion there was absolutely no reason for the character to die, and it really ruined the story for me.

My heart is broken
Oh my word this book hurt. It had nothing to do with the main couple though. Loved Harper for Ben. Looking forward to liffey 's book.

Another fabulous book!!
Wow! Loved this story. Ben and Harper’s story was great. The end to Willa and Skull was so sad. I cried thru that. Wasn’t expecting that.

If I only knew...

Ben is one of the six Erickson children rescued by the RCAC team in one evening. Now the adopted children of Gaspar and Alexandra, they've all grown, many served, some are married, and are all Reaper-patriots. Ben had helped a young woman in Biloxi, and had given her his card before putting her on a bus to Pensacola. Now she's found him because she is in danger. Her editor at the lifestyle magazine has sent her to do a "real" story,and she has been discovered. There are other stories in this one. This reader was waiting for that other shoe to drop, so to speak, and it does. Some other friends pop in for a visit- or is it for longer?
