4.5 stars rounded up to 5

I came across this book and this author completely by chance. To my surprise, the writing and stories were superb and solid! The topics were diverse and I did not feel the saturation of ideas or the "vain" of writing for the sake of writing. Interestingly, I could only search and find this book and no other books from the author. I am not sure if this is a debut but if it is, more people should read the work by this author!

One minor note: the story by the title was the longest in the book, a bit "preachy", and a bit lengthy. The rest was excellent with a decent length (and they never once ended abruptly!).

Best wishes to the author!

Demons in the Attic, by T.C. Luppi, is filled with dark tales of horror, the untold mysteries of the supernatural world, death, murder, aliens, assassins, gruesome experimentations, and even the theory of the boogeyman. I found myself captivated by the narrator, Susan Marlowe as she brilliantly unfolded each terrifying and mysterious tale. This is one you won't want to miss! I highly recommend to all lovers of horror, mystery, and thriller short stories.

This is some good book right here. Not only some things end up spun on their heads, some tropes get well played, but the ending? The Demon in the attic that names the collection? It's super cool. It's some niiiiiice shade of dark fantasy I would read again and watch on tv and so on. I wish I could send flowers to this writer. They really wrote my fave horror anthology in the category Horror Happy. When you get really fucking spooked by a lot of shit, but holy cow, ain't I satisfied!

Insanely well written and put together

These stories flow so well from one to another and seem to seamlessly draw you into the world so finely crafted by T.C Luppi. All of the stories stand alone well but taken together form an amazing tapestry woven by a hidden hand. I can't wait to read more from this excellent artist.

I liked it just OK!!

For me, it was take the good with the just OK. Four stories I liked were family experiment, the Domino that wouldn't fall, orphanage rules and the last Story demon in the Attic. I guess I would say read the book for those stories!

I don't remember much of this, except the last story. It was about friendly demon or something

Editing

It's clearly a lost art. A few decent stories but the editing is a deal breaker, it's an issue with many books these days but particularly problematic in this title.

The horror stories weren’t really all that.
But the “demon in the attic” is actually a love story where a woman falls in love with a she-demon and it was the cutest thing ever.
