It's so difficult to give this book the review it deserves. The three book series, Psychosis, Haunted now Cursed are among the best series I've ever read. I should say listened to as I can no longer physically read a book. I adore the way Mr. Marturano adds sound effects to the audiobook. Not intrusive at all and placed perfectly where and when needed. His style of writing is so unique. I feel like he's talking directly to me and often includes the reader in the story with statements like, "oh, you were there. You know what happened." Very charming. At other times I feel like the narrator is telling me a spine chilling story around a campfire with goosebumps and jump scares galore. So personal and so catchy. I would recommend reading the books in order. The story builds on itself as do the people. Sometimes you may wonder how this series of happenings can possibly be pulled together but stick with it. It will all make sense in a conclusion that makes perfect sense but I bet you didn't have totally figured out. Lots of pain and healing going on which is doubtful at times. I will miss Marco and Buddy so much. I made fast friends with them and feel the loss of a close pal. Messed up as Marco is, he is lovable in his way. To me, the sign of a brilliant author is the ability to flesh out characters that I know, understand, emphasize with and become close to and Tony Marturano does just that. Definitely worth the read.

Well...what can I say? I've read all the 3 books from this series and I must admit that I will miss Marco Battista. Of course this book same as the other 2 are very worthy to read. There were moments when I was scared feeling goosebumps on my skin and same as Marco - putting hands through my hair. But I've also felt emotional and happy with him and even used some adult language as some situations where just pi... me off 🙃
PS Mr T. Marturano, I love your twists in your books. If you think that you figured how the book is going to end...Well... don't be so sure about that as the things happen and there is lot to change 😉

Incredible! Must reads

It's been a long time since I've read a trilogy like this. I've been thoroughly entertained by Marco Battista and co. I wish more authors wrote stories like this but they are few and far between these days, especially books as good as these are. I'm sad to see the story end, I could have followed Marco through more adventures. Do yourself a favor and read these in order, you'll be glad that you did.

Spooktacular Rollercoster

Just when you think everything is going well things start to happen. Once again turning sinister, is it all in his mind again or is it something worse, even maybe of another world.
Once again be prepared to be taken on a rollercoaster of emotions and thinking.

I was a bit dubious about reading the third book of this series would it live up to the other two previously read by me ?
"Psychosis" and "Haunted"
Pleased to report it absolutely does, a scare element I was not expecting made it worthwhile for me.

Do not miss!!!

Sanity. Normalcy. As it means to us humans. What does it mean? Who among us really can say truthfully what we are? Normal? Sane? Do we compare ourselves to others? Who's to say how normal they are? Hard to really look at ourselves with real clarity. Anyway, I believe you will really enjoy this series. Impossible to put down, or to predict what will happen next. I promise this to be a great read, and a real thinker. Enjoy, don't miss this one.

I reviewed the 1st of these enthusiastically. The author certainly has an interesting style. I think the line being blurred between mental illness and the supernatural was pretty good and the twists were great, but I felt like too much time was spent pounding on the trauma, horror, and surreal. It took a lot to redeem that. There was also a lot of annoying typographical errors that are really unacceptable and ruin a story. That said, the author does have some talent in telling a story, it's just real touch and go, like it is really strong when it's there, and then I'd find myself wondering why I kept reading. I don't like series anyway, I'm glad to put this one up now. I liked the psych horror aspect, it was done well to a degree, the characters were well done, and the humor was great. I gave this a high rating but had mixed feelings throughout. If this series was a person, I wouldn't date them, lol, but wouldn't say I regretted having done so.

Cursed is the third in Tony Marturano's HAUNTED series and its unbelievably strong writing. You'd think that the narrator's story would be over by now, what with this epic adventure that truly delves into madness, psychology and the supernatural, but somehow, the third in this series is just as good as the first, and better than the second. While the book sometimes stretches credulity (what horror book doesn't?), it keeps you guessing until the very end. And you can't help but love the narrator, especially if you have read the first two books: good sense of humor, great affection for therapy, and a true understanding of madness--so much so that you sorta question your sanity after awhile. This one is much better paced than the second, and it stays, if not scary, very tense. I never heard of this author until I picked up the first in this series, but I'm a fan.

Marco Battista is now with Sarah, after all the horrific events In the past, Marco's son's death, the collapse of their house, the death of his wife.
They are trying to make a new start, Marco is renovating properties and they move to a new place in Fawndale, amidst a forest.
But just as always for Marco things don't go to plan.
Life is starting to unravel pretty quickly already.
They aren't getting their brand new start they expected and a ghost from their past is shadowing them leading to an explosive, unedited finale.
Another great chapter in the Marco saga.
Shame it seems it's ended, I hope the author chooses to revisit him again at some point for more spooky adventures.
Sad it's over.

While I've loved this series to date, by this 3rd installment (CURSED), I felt it was starting to get a little repetitious. And once again, I was able to guess the mystery long before I got to it. In the end, this was much more of psychological mystery than horror, and that's just as well. There's still one more edition to this series already in print and who knows if there's be more to come, so now that the 3rd book in original trilogy has ended for me, I'm hoping the series begins to cover some new ground instead beating the proverbial dead horse one more time.

Ok, three books like this may be my limit lol. I DID like it and it goes really well in the series.

This one suffers from the same problem of being too long. It feels a little repetitive and I feel like the author could have used an editor to pluck out any unnecessary stuff.

It's exactly the same as the first two in terms of tone, tension etc which is good but also, like, ok we are probably good on Marco stories now (even though I genuinely like the guy and the other characters).

Sometimes I want to hate the guy!

Marco is a wackjob you can LOVE to hate. The twisted turns have me addicted to his world. It's difficult to figure when you're in the present with this book. Yet I think that is the point!

I'm bereft at having to leave this series behind. The author has such an unusual style and way of telling a story that you can find yourself completely wrapped up in the drama and unwilling to carry out real life events.

This trilogy is not without its problems, but I finished all three books (and I’m quick to ditch any book that doesn’t keep me interested).

In the end, there is enough supernatural pull through the (barely) explicable events and emotions to leave a satisfying ending even more pleasing.

Not what I was expecting.

I was a little disappointed. There are different storylines that are never explained. Characters that you would think have a huge impact ended up leading to nothing. I still give this book 4 stars because I love this writer.

I read all three of Tony's books and the books were exciting, thrilling, and mystifying. I love the way he drew out each of the characters in particular Marco and Elle. I highly recommend reading all three of the books. Great job Tony
