Friends to Forever: An Anthology of Trope

Rate this book
An anthology for the love of trope! Three full-length novels showcasing friends-to-lovers romance.

BRING IT ON HOME

Forced to take a sabbatical from work, Maggie goes home to Tennessee, where she finds more than she bargained for with life-long friend, Porter. As they navigate their way from friends to lovers, it seems they were made for each other. But secrets lurk in the shadows of their past that just might destroy everything they know about each other.

LET IT BE ME

With her daughter headed off to college, Emerson has no idea how to feel about her suddenly empty nest. She barely remembers life before motherhood, but firefighter Caleb’s right next door to give her a reminder—along with a toe-curling kiss that catapults them past friends and into something more.

KNOW ME WELL

Riley is no stranger to hard work. She's queen of Doing All The Things—solo. And that's exactly how she likes it. She’s not holding out for a hero. When disaster strikes her business, former Marine Liam jumps in to help—whether she likes it or not. Will they be able to work through their complicated past to save the pharmacy before she's forced to close its doors forever?

I have been provided with a review copy of Friends to Forever: An anthology of trope by the author for an impartial review. This box set has the following titles Bring It On Home, Let It Be Me, and Know Me Well.

Bring It On Home

This is the fourth and final book in the Misfit Inn series and I just absolutely loved getting to go back into this wonderful world with it’s amazing characters. I just had so much fun reading this story and getting to learn more about these characters. In this story we get to see Maggie Reynolds and Porter Ingram and see then come together. I just fell in love with them and I just loved getting to see their journey. I just didn’t want it to end and I was sad to turn the last page. I can’t wait to see what’s next from this author.

Let It Be Me

This is the first book in the brand-new Men of the Misfit Inn series and this was just a great way to start off a new series. This book features some of the men that we have previously met from the Misfit Inn series. I just absolutely loved getting to go back into this wonderful world with it’s amazing characters not only do we meet some new amazing characters but we get to revisit with some of the previous characters that we fell in love with. I just absolutely fell in love with this story. My emotions were just all over the place and I was just fighting tears throughout this wonderful story. I just felt so much for these characters and I was so sad to turn the last page. I can’t wait to see what’s next from this author.

Know Me Well

It had a little bit of everything in this story. It was a beautiful story that had romance, drama, sadness, some disasters, and ultimately it ended with a happy ending. I loved Liam and Riley they just brought me into their lives and I totally fell in love with them as human beings as well as how good they are together. This book was really easy to get wrapped up in. It was a light read that just had the right amount of everything. I recommend to anyone that would like a great book to read to pick up this one you won’t be sorry.

Wow what a journey and such a great read for all three stories. This is the first tind I've read anything my Kait Nolan, but it won't be the last because I've really enjoyed reading these three stories.

All three are the road taken and evolving from friends to lovers and what an absolute joy to have read these gorgeous, amazing and lovely stories, with three different takes on friends to lovers:

Maggie and Porter. Well, I wasn't expecting to cry with this one, but a heartbreaking part of this just brought it too close to home. I really liked this one, the characters were amazing - especially the sisters.

Caleb and Emerson and their age gap romance (Emerson being the older) I loved that this was a somewhat continuation from Bring it home as Caleb is Porter's foster brother.

Liam and Riley, a veteran returning home to find his little sister's/his friend is a lot more than just a friend. Loved it so much and especially when there is military envolved.

Apart from the whole romance between the leading characters, the banter, the chemistry and the love, I really enjoyed that the three stories each has a different take on "problems" that might occure in the real world, whether this being sexual harrasment, coping after loss or becoming the adult long before you should. This only gives each other characters a more real vibe, just like I love that some of the main characters are foster children - it's not something I really read until now and I love that they have their happy ending, when I know that there are many children out there who never will.

I really, really enjoyed reading this anthology. It was a great introduction to two of Kait Nolan's universes (Misfit Inn and Wishful), and I definitely plan on reading more of her books as I have time! While I didn't love all of the tropes present in this anthology, the overarching one (friends to lovers) is my absolute favorite, which made the one or two things I didn't thoroughly enjoy not that big of a deal in the scheme of things.

All three heroes (Preston, Caleb, and Liam) were great. They're hopelessly smitten at the start of their stories and will clearly give anything for the women they love (which exactly what I want out of a hero). The three heroines (Maggie, Emerson, and Riley) were believable and realistic. Generally, all of the main characters seemed like people I could hang out with in real life, which... doesn't happen all the time in these books.

The spicy scenes? Very well written, believable, and enjoyable... which is great, because I read through all three books in this anthology in less than a week.

Solid stories that start 2 related series in 1st and 3rd by book then 2nd is 2nd book in a related series also.

I auto read this author every time get the chance to devour her books on my device and these 3 related series of stories were no exception as thoroughly enjoyed each couples journey together.

Love the trope and love the way Kait Nolan created unique stories and characters. I’ve read each one these three books and I can’t pick a favourite!! If you love small town romances and where people are into each other’s business as small towns do and hilarious situations, packing heat and caring friends, this is it!

Foul language

Gutter language from the very start. Why no reviews with warning???? Seems like Amazon drops negative reviews, hope this one makes the cut. I hate downloading books that turn out to be garbage.

Good

Just what you expect from this author. Great writing, great characters, great chemistry and great stories. You'll laugh and cry at all the mushy sentimentality and the bantering as well. If you don't like sex or occasional cussing this is not for you.

Although the language could have been cleaner, this had all the components to be a good book until the pages and pages of detailed sex totally detracted from the story. There was absolutely no need/ The reader actually knows what's going on without getting blow-by-blow details.

By far a Five Star book

I loved everything about it the different people how they are described. How their lives became a love story. I enjoyed every minute of the people in the book. This made me want to keep reading more and more about the people.

I enjoyed all three stories, however as I'm a bit of a stickler for reading things in order, I found it a challenge to read to bring myself to read them when I haven't read everything else in the series. Wish I had come upon them a bit later in my Kait Nolan journey.
