When I moved to Portland to start my dream career at one of the top advertising firms in the world, I had not expected to fall for my smoldering, sexy boss. I tried like hell to end things before they started, but it proved to be more difficult than anticipated. After a disastrous night trying to escape the reality of my situation, Reid was there to pick up the pieces. It was then that I knew I needed him in my life. So, despite a nagging worry that our feelings might have an effect on my job, we have found ourselves navigating both a working and a romantic relationship, something neither of us had prepared for.
While we are taking things slow and learning more about each other every day, I’m certain there are things Reid isn’t ready to confide in me about. When he takes me to an out-of-town event and gives me the royal treatment, I’m sure life couldn’t get any better-- that is, until I’m knocked back into reality when his past crashes the party.
I’m no longer certain anything in my life will weather the storm, including my beloved career, which seems to be going down with the landslide.
Kristin writes sweet, sassy romance and, along with her best friend Melissa, is the author of the Conversion Series. Raised in the Arizona desert, she relocated to the PNW, where she now lives with her --thankfully-- supportive husband, ridiculously active teenage boys, and trio of spoiled dogs. She lives on tea, bourbon and wine, cranks the volume way too loud for country music and 90’s rap, and loves camping, fishing and the great outdoors almost as much as she does reading, writing and binging true-crime documentaries indoors.

Aversion is the second book in this series. It's a continuation of Reid and Emily's story. I did not read Conversion previously to reading this one. I didn't feel like I missed much, but I do think it would have been easier to fall in love with the characters if I had.
That's not to say I didn't fall in love with Reid and Emily because I did. Aversion starts off with the happy couple, enjoying some wonderful moments, but then, a secret about Reid's past is revealed, completely wrecking Emily and their relationship (which I must add I was waiting for something intense to happen). Somehow, they find their way back together, but just when Emily is ready to forgive Reid, his past steps back into play.
Aversion is such a sweet romance with an intense emotional rollercoaster attached to it. You will love Reid and Emily together, and you might even hate it at points too. However, by the end, you will realize that these two deserve their happily ever after together. I would highly recommend this series to anyone who loves real and flawed characters with sweet stories.
First things first, read book one, Conversion, before you start this one. Aversion is a continuation of Emily and Reid's love story. I won't give any spoilers, but man, I was just really pissed at everyone halfway through the book! So congrats to the authors for engaging my emotions like that. Luckily, things get resolved and we get an HEA.
I really loved the writing style and flow of the book. I also loved Kat and Emily's friendship. This story really makes you think about love and forgiveness and what you're willing to overcome for a relationship that matters, both in friendship and romance. Awesome read!
I’m not ready to say goodbye to Reid and Emily but I will say I’m happy with the way things ended. There were some definite rocky bits throughout this series but all in all I enjoyed my time with the characters. I was happy to get more Kat time and thrilled to see the next book will be her story! I do feel like some parts felt rushed but it happens and the storyline didn’t really jump around so it’s all good. I got my HEA story & just in time because it was a great distraction from my work life stress! Melissa & Kristin can bring on more stories maybe even give us some insight into their story :p
This is book two in The Conversion Series and it continues Emily and Reid's story and it is definitely a must read. This is not a standalone book and you will need to read book one which is Conversion to get all the background history. I absolutely loved this book and even though it had twists and turns along the way it was still a page turner that had you on the edge of your seat and it was so addictive that I couldn't put it down and the outcome was just what I was hoping for and I can't wait to read Kat's story. The characters and storyline pulled you in right from the start and kept your attention right until the last one and that is what makes this book a must read and I look forward to reading more books by Kristen Seagren in the future as her books are definitely worth reading.

This was my first read from this author. I absolutely loved the first person point of view of the story. This is always a deal breaker for me. This was a good story I read in one sitting.

It was lovely to once again be immersed in the lives of Emily and Reid. This time, so much suspense and heartache - I couldn’t put it down awaiting the HEA. Kat featured less in this story, so I eagerly await her story coming next ‘Fringe’.

Book 2 was even better then book 1. Where as the first book had the forbidden romance component that does continue into book 2, this is where the real angst comes into play thanks to the lies of omission.
Emily & Reid really have a great love story & I really enjoyed it. This duet was a wonderful romance to give me a break from some of the darker books I have been reading.
Well done to both of the authors and I will have to keep an eye out for what you bring to us next!
