This is a truely brilliant introduction to Moral Theology or ‘Theological Morality’ as Dr Minerd calls it.

His perspective is refreshing but it’s not new, for it is found in the Gospel but like many things found in the Gospel, it has been forgotten. Thank God for men like Dr Minerd who have reminded us!

The writing style was so lofty and academically styled that I had a hard time grasping the concepts he was proposing. I was able to pull a couple of profound nuggets out, so it wasn't a total loss. I just don't enjoy reading books that require me to re-read sentences repeatedly so I can figure out what the author is trying to say. Made for hard reading that was mostly a chore, so it took me several months to finish because I just wasn't enthused to pick it up and couldn't tolerate more than one chapter at a time.

An insightful and informative view on Catholic moral theology. One suggestion, find a quite room with no distractions. You will need the solitude to give thought to what you read.
