This was my first book by Daniel M. Ross, and I received this copy for free for an honest review. This story was a science fiction and time travel book that began within the city of Babylon in the year 2171. Xavier is our main character set within the city to recover his wife while protecting his daughter from the enemies that have taken root. This was presented in a script reading format that I didn’t particularly enjoy. The main plot line felt very repetitive after nearly 350 pages. This format made it difficult for me to connect with the characters of this world. I’m sorry but this novel just wasn’t for me. (2/5 rating)
Great story. I listened to the audiobook and in the beginning all of the sound effects were annoying. But once the story really got going, I didn't mind so much.
First, I do not care for screenplays or scripts as books. This one was no exception. I found the dialect of several characters, but especially Xavier, disturbing, out of character, and annoyingly unnecessary. As the book went along, the scenes became pretty repetitive and…..cutsie, for lack of a better term. Fortunately, I received this book for free, so I’m not out any money - just a couple of hours reading time.
🌟Recently finished reading the book ROSETTE(THE INFINIT UNIVERSE) BOOK 1 written by author DANIEL M. ROSS. and this book surprised me a lot. I had a high expectations before reading this book as it is based on time travel and i didn't get disappointed. It was like watching a time travel movie in a theatre where you do not want to miss a single scene as it may be connected to somewhere else.🌟
💫The plot ✨The plot as i already mentioned is based on Time Travel. The story starts at BABYLON in the year 2171 in the future. In 2171 the time has gone astray and something big is going to happen which is not good for humankind and to stop all this and make everything normal XAVIER had to go beyond his capabilities with lots of challenges ahead. He must get back to his reality without getting killed. The plot has a lot of other things but it should not be disclosed otherwise it will be unfair to readers so if you wanna know more you should read the book.✨
💫Writing- ✨The writing by the author has been brilliant to choose topic like this and do justice with it was marvellous. Although there are some loopholes in the plot and sometimes the pace of the book goes on and off but the time travel mystery will keep you hooked till the end. The first 2 3 chapters are slow and you may get bored but once it get paced you are surely going to read it all at once. Basically time travel stories take time to pick up pace there is nothing wrong with the book. The titles and the cover are quite attractive but not everyone can read this book as you need to focus every second you read it. If you miss some small information you might get loose interest. The language is technical as it is a time travel story and the narration has been good.
💫The characters development was also good and overall if you like time travel stories this book is surely recommended to you.✨
The cover, title, and description sounded interesting, and I decided to give it a read. But I had never read a movie script before and did not know what to expect. Daniel Ross began his story from an unusual perspective, the reader. This clever twist foreshadowed Xavier’s futuristic world where time has gone astray. His mission was to return reality to normal and not die in the process. This book has a lot going on, and it is hard to capture the entire plot in a single review. It is full of passion, special effects, intrigue, and fantastic technology. The concepts are as vast as the universe is expansive, and the characters are even larger. Daniel completely smashed all my expectations in this amazing script, and I am already re-reading it to take it all in. I really liked the character, Grace. She reminded me of my daughter. Spunky and full of charisma. Daniel is a superb writer, and this story is only the beginning. I look forward to his future works and recommended this script to a good friend who is into time travel movies.
As you Embarq upon this journey you will find the time and place is BABYLON, 2171. As the fabric of time begins to unravel, the man responsible must wrestle his darkest demons in order to thread the world back together again. —fantasy and reality. Witness the epic division between good and evil as time draws near, once and for all, to the End of Ages. This; is The Infinite Universe. Who caused this split in time? How can we put it back together? Should we put it Back? Who Knows? As the world unravels, we begin to lose the sense of our being our sense of what is right and worn. Will we be able to save our world? An interesting premise. Will we know the answers to those questions? And exciting look at our world to be.
I enjoyed the format and the story, a very straight forward sci fi setup that anyone could enjoy.
A few things that took a bit away from me were the sound effects on every page. I think they would have been more suitable with an italics description rather than a typed wording of the actual sound. Also, it's a very thin line of writing a sci fi novel with Christian undertones. The Book of Strange New Things did an excellent job with this, but this one felt a bit forced.
Overall, a solid read and I think author Ross is off to a solid start. Appreciate the opportunity to read the book!
I did not red this book in its entirety.I found the first chapters so fragmented and lacking a clear direction that I choose to quit the struggle of trying to figure out where the author was trying to go and reading the book and find something that did not require so much work on my part of try to make sense of it.
I made it like 10 pages in and absolutely could not. What kind of juvenile Joss Whedon-esque BS is this?? I read stuff like this on fanfic.net back in the day written by 13 year olds.
