A stoic Vikir warrior meets his match in a spunky Earth woman determined to show him what he's been missing.

After she's kidnapped on her way to Crakair, Mila's not sure she'll ever meet her arranged mail-order alien match. Until Kral falls - literally - on top of her during his heroic rescue mission. Who wouldn't be attracted to a gruff, scaly green alien doing all he can to save her from the bad guys? But with space stations and ships exploding around them, it soon becomes clear someone is determined to make sure she and Kral don't reach Crakair.

Kral has settled into his role as Kral the enforcer and Kral the loner, the person he had to become after his father was murdered and he was forced to assume leadership of his clan. He signs up for the Selection, never expecting to develop feelings for his Earthling female match. Despite the danger they're in, she makes him laugh and shows him that life doesn't always have to be serious. But with an enemy chasing them across the galaxy, Kral will have to tap his Vikir warrior skills to protect his Earthling bride.

'KRAL' is Book 4 in the Mail-Order Brides of Crakair series, but can be enjoyed as a standalone.

AVA ROSS fell for men with unusual features when she first watched Star Wars, where alien creatures have gone mainstream. She lives in New England with her husband (who is sadly not an alien, though he is still cute in his own way), her kids, and assorted pets, including a yorkie pup and three cats.

His dark eyes sparkled, and he bared his fangs. Some girls might find the two-inch fangs scary, but Mila found them an incredible turn-on, like she was dating a vampire who'd be careful not to drain all her blood.

The steamiest book in the series yet! 5 stars..

Somehow Ava's writing just keeps getting better and sexier with each book of this series. As with previous books, the alien humor in this one is top-notch, and I found myself laughing as much as I was swooning over Kral's vulnerability. I know I say this with each book as well, but I absolutely loved Kral! He was so sweet yet had a cockiness about him that is so endearingly sexy. There was plenty of action in this one as well to provide some relief for the steamier bits and give your kindle a chance to cool off while reading. Even though I had guessed who the "bad guy" was pretty early on, I still fully enjoyed this novel and look forward to Wulf's book next! ♡

Plenty of steam and lots of action!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙💚💜❤️
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙
World building: 🌏🌍🌎
Character development: 😟🙁🤓😍
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Mila - a virus killed of most of the human males and also killed the females on the planet Crakair. Recently the Crakair males made a deal with Earth for technology and in exchange they opened an agency to send brides from Earth to Crakair. The brides are matched with a male from Crakair and when they arrive on the planet they have ten days to decide whether to stay or they can return to Earth. Mila was a physical therapist on Earth, before being matched to Kral and she was on a starship on the way to Crakair.

The Hero: Kral - he is a Vikir warrior and the chief of his clan, since his father died. The Vikir made their home in the treetops on the mountains of Crakair. He is known as Kral the enforcer, Kral the leader, Kral the untouchable, which he had been since his parents died in a fire. But his people also know him as a loner, and he had been accustomed to that until he signed up for the mail order bride program and was selected and matched to Mila. When she went missing after their ship was attacked, Kral did what any leader would do and went out to find his female, following a lead to an upcoming breeder auction.

The Story: Mila awoke tied-up in a room with white walls, looking at a rectangular creature above her. She found that she was on a spaceship. Not the spaceship she was taking to Crakair, but one owned by the four-armed, blue skinned aliens that attacked the ship and took the girls captive, planning to sell them as breeders. Mila was determined to escape on her own, she knew she couldn’t wait to be saved. She didn’t know if anyone would come.

Kral knew he was in the right place when his mating mark appeared on his palm. He just had to land on the space station and find his mate. The four-armed Alkirins were docked in the space station, but his mate was not on board. Mila escaped the Alkirins and she had been living in the basement of the space station for days, keeping under the radar while searching for her friends.

The setup has all the bones of a gripping, emotionally satisfying arc—the world feels perilous, the stakes are personal and high, and both characters have that wounded strength to be explored. Mila’s proactive nature and Kral’s fierce protectiveness were charging toward a collision of mutual rescue. There was plenty of tension when they finally cross paths: Mila’s fiercely earned independence clashing with Kral’s desperate need to keep her safe. Also, when Kral finds Mila, their adventure wasn’t even close to being finished. They still had to escape the space station and much more. There was plenty of steam and lots of action in this one.

This audiobook was narrated from multiple perspectives, done in dual narration by Teddy Hamilton and Tawnia Murray. Teddy Hamilton is one of my favorite male narrators and he always does a terrific job. He has an awesome voice and is very expressive, he is also great at using different voices for different characters. Tawnia Murray is not one of my favorites and her voice bothers me at times for no specific reason, though overall she does a good job, and I like her for the most part.

It's Mila and Kral's turn to find their matebonds and do the mating thing. Mila, the 2nd of the lady-napped humans who were on their way to meet their intendeds when things went sideways, has managed to free herself from her captors, but she's stuck on their space station with no way off. She's on the run and hiding as best she can, but things aren't looking too great for this human.

Then Kral puts in an appearance (kind of literally since he basically beams into her hidey hole) and suddenly her terrible chances of survival are looking up! YAY! Let the sexy times commence!

And they do commence. Because both Mila and Kral are feeling the matebond and HOO-BOY DO THEY WANT TO GET BUSY WITH ONE ANOTHER!

New (somewhat dangerous) friends, enemies practically crawling out of the woodwork (or space station siding), sexy-time customs, and steamy kisses that lead to other things. *thumbs up*

I weirdly got stuck on the fact that if blood is the issue, I'm assuming the aliens don't get their periods and it's gonna get messy when the heroine does 🤣

I have been following the series from the start. And I love the whole concept from the start; I enjoy the h, they are strong, witty, and know how to fight back when the situation requires them to stand by their man. The H is delicious green alphas that know when to step back and let their woman take the rains of the situation. This one is not different, I relish Kral and Mila's relationship from the beginning. Really looking forward to the next book

Mila, a mail order bride and her two of her friends have been kidnapped by four armed blue skinned aliens called Al’kieern. The women were all going to Crakair to me married. Mila was to be married to Kral, a seven foot tall green scaled alien.

Mila finds herself tied to a table so her captures not only can keep her contained until they can auction her off to the highest bidder as a breeder but can easily examine her to make sure she is fertile. Above her is a light emitting creature pinned to the ceiling. One of the pins falls to her table and she uses it to saw through one of her bindings. She is then able to quickly release the rest and free herself and the creature on the ceiling. Next time the guards appear she hits one with a trash can, knees one in the groin and the creature attaches itself to the others face allowing them to escape the room.

Kral to the rescue. He arrives in his cloaked vehicle near the space station and spends time formulating a plan. She spends her time searching the station for her friends Lily and Taylor but cannot find the anywhere and decides they had been taken from the station. She also finds herself a place to hide out while she searches.

Kral does a cloaked transfer into the space station and the small room where Mila is taking a bath then promptly passes out, one of the side effects of the transfer, right on top of her naked body. Once he is finally able to get off Mila, through a series of comedic errors, he thinks he can easily do another cloak transfer out of the small interior room to his ship but it is not happening. Kral needs to get to the outer edge of the space station to the big window where he can see his ship to make that happen.

It will not be easy. There are Al’kieerns around every corner and in every corridor waiting to kill them. Kral will see his space ship blown up before his eyes and his escape vessel invaded. Not only is Mila wanted for the bounty she will bring but someone wants Kral dead as well. Who? Why? Do they make it to his home planet to get married? I am not going to tell you as you will not need to read the book.

The two main characters are well developed. They each have good background stories that explain why they would each do something crazy like marry complete strangers from another planet in another galaxy. and miss all of the of hot steamy sex in the book. It also has a lot of hot steamy sex so if this offends you this is not the book for you.

This was so sweet and oh so good. ❤️❤️🤩

Okay, Kral and Mila’s book was something else. At first I really liked Mila so much. Then when she met Kral I couldn’t stop laughing. Then upon the grand escape her pacifism idiocy just soured my stomach. She had to learn some hard life facts and truths to difficult way. Sorry liberal, you don’t leave your enemies alive. These people want to kill your mate, and sell you for a SEX SLAVE. you know what that is right?” BREEDER? yet you have compassion for these aliens? These scum? 🤷🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️. You imbecile. Where did that get you and Kral? Almost dead multiple times....didn’t it? NOW, with that out of my system she did learn some hard lessons and once she did she DID step to the plate and do what she had to do to protect herself and what’s important to her... which was Kral and herself. So bingo bango and BOOM SHALOOM! Stars have been restored! There was a plot twist that had me shaking my head but once again I know this is a book so I’m hoping we don’t see people that should have been put down like the vermin they are in other books causing harm because they were left to live. I highly doubt it but in real life they would have been fodder for the animals. 💯. I couldn’t get enough of Kral and Mila and their growing relationship. They had such a wonderful chemistry. Also, what’s up with these women befriending deadly species? Lol firefly and chee-chee were awesome! I hope chee-chee gets a mate 🤣. A lil 🐒 action 👉🏾👌🏾 he was all for it and I couldn’t stop laughing. There were so many tender moments in this book that it just melted this 🐻 heart. I was ooooo and awwwww over the place 😚 hoo hoo🤗. We even saw another love connection which had me grinning! Also they made Kral’s village seem small but it’s huge! Also, on a personal note I’ve been belly aching about Weld and his dirt bike, if you sign up for the news letter you get an extra story and he goes hover dirt bike racing! Be sure to sign up for Ava’s news letter! Each one of these extra short stories are so good! I enjoyed them all so far! Bryk, Weld and Sadie’s had me tearing up though. I swear it was so sweet. As far as this book it was also so amazingly sweet and oh so good. 5 meteors from me! ☄️☄️☄️☄️☄️

My favorite thus far in the series!💖

Okay, don't get me wrong I've enjoyed them all but I really loved this one everything about this story was wonderful. Kral , a leader of his tribe, a warrior, and a male who lost everything he loved in one horrible night. He signed up for a bride to bring hope to his people and possibly love and companionship for himself. He never expected To call so hard and so fast for Mila. We met Mila in the last book. She's strong, has a great sense of humor and misses her father greatly. He raised her and had recently died of the disease that ravaged the Earth not long ago. He taught her to face her fears and not to let any intimidate her. When she's kidnapped , forced into a cage and told she's going to be sold as a breeder she was having none of it! She wanted to meet her match and she wasn't going to wait to be rescued she help herself. Both leads are awesome just the right amounts of strong , sexy, and smart. They have a ton of chemistry from the minute they meet and you can't help but call in love with them. This was a fantastic adventure, with heart breaking revelations, fun sexy banter between the leading couple and not passionate love that takes them both by surprise 💖💖💖💖💖 this is well worth the read and I highly recommend it💖💖💖💖💖

So remember when I told you that in book three bam something crazy happens yeah well it affects Kral and Mila as well as others. So lets meet Mila and Kral. Mila signed up to be a bride for the Crakair and was hoping to have a good life. Only to have her future change. However, she is pretty resourceful and making friends with some animals. She is sneaky and trying to stay alive. She does not want to become a breeder. She is thinking that if she gets out of this she may go back to earth. Then we have Kral who finds out that something happens to his bride to be and he decides that he is going to find her. He consults with Jorg and makes arrangements. Now Kral has not had it easy. He lost his parents when he was young and became a leader of his clan. He seems to be lonely and not being able to find a crakair female he signs up for the bride selection. He gets one look at Mila and he gets a sense that she is meant for him. So when he finds her let the courtship begin. Oh man is some of it kind of funny and steamy. All while the courtship is going on, they are being chased. Can Kral get Mila back to Crakair? How will their courtship end? You will love this book so check out how it ends.

Bryk's cousins, Vikir warriors, have been selected for Earth mates, and they are on their way when their ship is attacked and three brides are stolen.

Lily, Mila, and Taylor have been stolen from the transport ship by Al'Kieern pirates, to be sold as breeders. Separated and taken to different locations, Lily is rescued by her mate Joey, and the cousins, Wulf and Kral have decided to find their mates themselves as the military is moving too slowly. They follow information to a distant space station owned by the Al'Kieern where a breeder auction is supposed to be taking place, and they see a shuttle leaving with two life signs, one human. Wulf follows the shuttle and Kral goes onto the station when the occupants refuse to bring the human his scans show to him. Kral finds a way onboard, but a lot of stuff happens as he tries to rescue Mila from the Al'Kieerns and get them both away. Lots of sexy times, lots of battles, some cute and funny make-dos as Kral tries to carry on with his courtship even though they have both formed mate bonds. They finally make it home, but Kral is wondering why they were special targets to begin with, and after he returns to his tribe with Mila they finally find out why. Happy endings thereafter.

Mila is one of three Earth brides captured on the way to Crakair. Separated from the others, she’s forced to survive off her own wits and ingenuity in alien territory, literally. Just when she begins to despair, Vikir warrior Kral stumbles on the scene. With their strengths combined, and a little help from some new friends, will the two be able to make it back to his home planet and settle into mated life together?

At this point in the series, the world of Crakair and its major factions are well established, so it felt like the author really got to devote themselves to building up Mila and Kral as characters. They had strong, unique personalities and traits. They kept finding themselves in one scrape after another and it seemed like their lives were legitimately in danger. The plot was fast paced and had some great intrigue without taking away from the real focus: the development of Mila and Kral’s relationship.

The next book will star Kral’s friend and I for one am eager to get another perspective on the Vikir side of the Crakairian people.

Kral and Mila

Mila was one of the women from Earth, who had been chosen by the ‘Selection’ to be a bride to a male from Crakair, when she was kidnapped from the ship transporting her.
Kral, Mila’s selected mate, is determined to find the woman who had been chosen for him.
Rescuing Mila from the place where the slavers had taken her, might just be easier said than done. Add in a courtship, and a set of suspicious events, and The pair are kept extremely busy!

This book, continues on from where the previous one left off, with the second of the kidnapped trio of women as the heroine.
Like the rest of the series, it has some particularly humorous moments, usually resulting from language translation errors, or cultural differences.
The heroine is a likable, strong woman, who won’t let the situation get her down.
The hero is a battered, though wise warrior who will do anything to keep his mate safe.

It’s an enjoyable romp through the stars with some intriguing side characters, and a rather well developed mystery hidden within all the cool sci-fi stuff.
Recommended for those who enjoy sci-fi alien romance.

2021 READ: 5 STARS!

"Know that I will court you. Prose and win you. And then make you explode with many orgasms. You will scream my name."

The book was action packed compared to the previous books, and lesser sex scenes also. Mila was another strong Earth woman in the series while Kral was another adorable Crakairian.

Both of them had many challenges, met new friends along the way and cementing their relationship through all their experiences. I could say that in this, their relationship was based from trust. He rescued and protected her, and she also rescued and protected him. And oh, there were lots of cock-blockers in this book hahahaha.

I really enjoyed reading this one.

"Know one thing." Her voice deepened. "I will let you court me. Propose and maybe win me. And then you will explode with many orgasms. You will scream my name."

My review is not for intelligent discussion. It's what I felt/thought while reading the book. For 2021, I would rate the book this way:
1 - DNF'ed
2 - does not exist
3 - did not like
4 - it was okay
5 - I like it / I enjoy reading it (but it doesn't mean I recommend it)

This series has been outstanding so far! Mila is a mail order bride, which is a valuable asset in the galaxy, it seems. On the way to Crakair to meet her match, Mila and the other women were kidnapped by aliens called Al’kieern to be sold as breeders.

Mila awakens and finds she is strapped to a table. The light above her is coming from a creature which has been pinned on the ceiling. When a pin drops, she uses it to free everyone, including the creature. She attacks the guards, taking them by surprise, so they can get away.

Kral, a seven foot green scaled alien, was Mila’s match and he goes after her in a cloaked ship. Their escape is thwarted, and it looks like both of them are in trouble as someone tries to kill Kral and recapture Mila to sell her. Will they get away? Who is after Kral and why?

You will love the characters and the humor in this story. Kral's rescue efforts are my favorite! Grab your copy and see if the two of them are able to find out what is going on. Will they ever get their HEA?

Mail-Order Brides of Crakair - Kral & Mila

Kral & Mila are both strong. Life has forced them to be. We met Mila when she was kidnapped by the horrible, evil, disgusting Al'kieern along with Lily & Taylor in book 3. Mila proves to be a survivor & escapes & helps other "creatures" to escape & hide while trying to avoid being captured again & also looking for a way to escape the space station. Mila is a tough cookie, I really liked her.
Kral comes to rescue his mate Mila & it leads to some funny moments in the beginning. The book has a lot of danger, deception & bad parts, which I didn't enjoy. I liked the first 2 books where we got to see Crakair in all its glory & real courtship the way it should be.
Kral is a strong, tough Vikar clan leader who needs to be loved. Mila is perfect for h8m & vice-versa.
We didn't get to see Kral's Crakair homeland until the end of the book & it was not enough. This story was a letdown from the first three books. The first two were the best.

I found the book to be engaging and very entertaining with some humorous and fun moments and it held my attention the end. Excellent writing and this page turner is riddled with passion, Intense chemistry, suspense, action and danger. I appreciated how the author threw in some humor with malfunctioning translators.

Great storyline with Mila being kidnapped to be sold as a breeder, while on her way to meet Kral. Naturally Kral did not take it well that his mate was kidnapped and went after her to save her, except by the time he got there our feisty independent kicka$$ heroine had saved herself and others but finds herself trapped while they hunt for her. Unfortunately, someone is after Kral and it complicates matters and escape. I loved how strong Mila was and how her personality complemented that of the cocky, yet vulnerable, sweet and HOT Kral. An absolute must read.

There's making an entrance, and then there's crashing through the ceiling and landing on a bathing lady while on a rescue mission making an entrance. And that's how the first date/rescue begins! Mila has up until this point been holding it together and eking out an existence hiding on the spaceport while seeking her friends, an escape route, or rescue, and making new friends along the way.

Previously viewed threats become essential allies, and while the Al’kieern are the obvious and immediate threat, they are not the only ones after the couple. However, this other threat has remained invisible, and it's difficult to fight an enemy when you don't even know who or what they are. Mila and Kral lean on lighter attitudes to help get through these perils and take the opportunity to engage in some delightful flirtation.

Mail order brides from Earth is not for everyone but being matched to aliens they get more than they signed up for. The women find new worlds—the men find mates entering into arrangements that they never thought they would find.

There is action, suspense and tension as these women navigate their newfound lives. Emotions run high as they confront their circumstances, dealing with the conflicting feelings of fear, hope, and longing. The presence of strong alpha males adds another layer, as they vie for the attention of these Earth women, leading to moments of romance and interesting encounters.

Amidst the challenges, there’s also an undercurrent of playful interactions, as the women learn to assert their own identities and desires in this strange new world. Overall, it’s a captivating blend of love, action, and adventure that keeps you engaged from beginning to end.

Wow! The Mail-Order Brides of Crakair series keeps getting better and better. You can clearly see how Ava Ross is developing as an author as the series progresses.

Kral is a fast-paced, action-packed read with tonnes of romance and swoony sweet moments. There are also more than a few steamy instances and an absolutely brilliant meet-cute. Add in language differences which will make you laugh out loud, and quirky alien creatures and this book is a winner. To paraphrase the heroine, Kral is like an "alien Conan the Barbarian". What more could you want??

Despite all of the action and situations the characters find themselves in, these books are low angst and loads of fun to read. If you haven't read any of the books in this series yet and you are a fan of alien romance, particularly Ice Planet Barbarians, please give this series a chance. You won't regret it.

Ava Ross has become a must read author for me and this book is only one reason for that distinction. Ms. Ross has a way of pulling her readers into her books from the 1st page to the last with her terrific storytelling and world build. Her characters are so delightfully flawed that you can't help cheer for their happily ever after. Kral and Mila's story is one of survival and betrayal but hoping that through everything that you will finally get your happy ending. This story has everything that you could want; comedy, action, drama, conflict and of course hot romance (it is an Ava Ross book after all). This is the 4th book in the Mail-Order Brides of Crakair series and you will definitely be sorry if you miss this fantastic book as well as the rest of the series. I can't wait for Wulf's story!

"...he liked that he could bring his mate joy."

Kral's life has been full of seriousness since his parents died and he took over the leadership of his clan. As much as he might want laughter and joy in his life, what his people need, particularly what they need from him comes first.

Mila set out to meet her alien match, and was kidnapped by other aliens along the way. The fun part is what she learns about herself as she deals with the situation she finds herself in. It's all well and good to hope for rescue, but there's a lot to be said for helping ourselves as well.

Mila's caring nature and compassionate heart shine through in this book, and make for some stand out scenes. As much as I have enjoyed this entire series, Mila's standing up for, and helping others, even when her own situation was precarious at best made for a delightful read.

AHHH! So this is what happened to Mila!

After the Al'kieern slavers attacked the ship bringing the human matches to Crakair Lily, Mila and Taylor are split up, and Kral is the story of Mila's rescue. Kral is her Vikir Warrior match. He's more than a little pissy about the fact his match's abduction.

Mila has her entourage, much like all the brides do. You will love Chee-Chee. You will love Firefly--he's magical and sorta a mean mutha.

I have one major issue--the last few books, the mate-bonds have been showing up before or at the first meeting of the main characters, and I liked it better when there was some work to it.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary advance copy of this book.

LOL Especially the beginning - Highly recommend!

Written for mature readers only (18+ years old) due to subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some including adult language, steamy intimate scenes and violence such as kidnapping / abduction, fighting, human trafficking, death, etc.

I highly recommend this be read in series order as it has reoccurring characters and an overall storyline arc, but technically it could be read as a stand-alone.

I love this series and I am already dreading the end of the series in a few stories, especially since all of the stories to date have been easy to get immersed in the storyline and escape reality for a little while. Hopefully there will be additional stories, or at least a spin off sometime in the future.

Kral is a fierce Vikir Warrior and the leader of his clan, but inside, he is a marshmallow! Mila is a fierce Earth woman, strong enough to escape the Al’kieerns that abducted her, hide for three days on a space station, and stand at Kral’s side to fight for their freedom. Ava Ross writes such wonderful characters! Every time I finish a book, I think, she can’t make me love another set of characters more than these, and then I start the next book, and she does! Her humor keeps me laughing, and her Earth women and Crakairian males deliver that humor by the truck load! Yes, there were some scary moments, but there were many more sweet, touching, moments to love! I have yet to be disappointed in an Ava Ross book!

This was so good. I’m in love with this series. We meet Mila and Kral briefly on a previous book but seeing these two come to life in their own story was wonderful. Mila is kidnapped on her way to meet her future husband Kral. He takes it upon himself to rescue her, but she is doing reasonably well on her own. Though trapped, she hides from her kidnappers after escaping. I loved the interaction between these two and seeing some of the other characters we met in previous books. Such a good series, be sure to check out all of them.

I couldn’t put this down. It has fated mates, a happy ever after ending and lots of steamy scenes. This book is about Mila - a human female who has been abducted so she can be auctioned off as a breeder. And Kral- a vikar warrior who is the leader of his clan. He’s protective, got muscles for days and is pretty good with a sword. He rescue mila his mate and takes her back to his home. This was a great book that I enjoyed reading, it was a well written and developed book with characters that had an amazing chemistry together. It's Kral and Mila's wonderful amazing story of action, danger, suspense, adventure, kidnappers, twists, turns, mystery, tension, turmoil, misgivings, intrigue, struggles, triumphs, passion, love, hot alpha alien male and an amazing romance I couldn't get enough of. I loved the interactions with Kral and Mila they had me laughing out loud at times needing to read faster to find out what happened next.
