Will his unfamiliarity with strong sentiments keep him from a possible loving family…

Oh now I understand, I was quite lost when I read The Rogue and The Jewel, as it was set after this one story. I wondered when I missed something in this series.
So be forewarned, read this novella before the 4th release in this series.

I just loved this addition to this fun series.
Bridget is a heroine as I like them, she is not perfect but stands her ground and faces any challenge her head held high. Despite having been wounded by her callous late husband, and swore to never remarry. But she is rather open to a potential affair.
Stephen having never known what a warm home might feel, he is unable to comprehend his friends councils nor grasp what he might be missing. Still, his father’s passing brought a last surprise to his doorstep and his new mission awakens sentiments deeper than mere lust.

I loved to watch them interacting together. Stephen is oblivious of the feelings Bridget unearths, denying himself any possible happiness because he fears he has not been built to be a family man. When Bridget does not fear to revise her own oath if it is the right path, but she will not rush her heart again for crumbs of affection, it is all or nothing.

Sir Stephen Moore had a difficult childhood so love will never be on the cards. When the Countess of Linton is blackmailed over her card cheating her son Tristan enlists Stephen’s help but it’s Lady Bridget Dyson. Tristan’s widowed sister who has to deal with Stephen. When they catch the blackmailer Bridget is no longer Stephen’s client so a night of passion ensues but the consequences leave them both reeling. I loved this book Bridget & Stephen both fall hard for each other but he's never known love & is frightened of it so hides his feelings & nearly scuppers their budding relationship. I read this delightful engrossing read in a sitting

Another brilliant story to add to the series

This is another brilliantly crafted story that continues a great series. I have previously read this book as part of a collection of multi author books, and found it to be even more enjoyable for a second reading. A wonderful plot with amazing characters and some steamy passages.

I really enjoyed Stephen and Bridget's story. Bridget was a client of Stephen's so he wouldn't act on his attraction to her, but as soon as the case was over she was fair game. But there were consequences of their actions. Stephen, of course, does the honorable thing. But watching these two sort through what would become a marriage in truth was the real fun!

Sir Stephen has always said he would never wed after his childhood with his rake of a father Bridget is a widow who after a bad marriage never wants to marry .He spends his time with loose women in the ton she as a widow can have quite affairs but when that have a few nights together she discovers she is expecting a "happy Event" and so the fun begins

In " Verführt von einem unwiderstehlichen Rake (Verruchte Regency Rogues 3) " ist Lady Bridget am Ende ihrer Witwenzeit angekommen und freut sich schon, wieder in der höflichen Gesellschaft einzutauchen. Auch das ihr als Witwe durchaus die diskreten Freuden der Leidenschaft keine Probleme bescheren werden, ist ein Vorteil den die junge Lady genießen möchte.
Doch eine sich anbahnender Skandal ihrer Familie, könnte all ihre Hoffnungen zum scheitern bringen.
So tritt Sir Stephen Moore in das Leben von Bridget, denn dieser soll dabei helfen, diesen Skandal abzuwenden.
Wäre da nur nicht diese starke Anziehung, die Stephen auf Bridget ausübt und dessen Vorhaben, nie eine engere Bindung einzugehen.
Für Stephen ist Familie nicht erstrebenswert, denn schon sein Vater war nur ein Lebemann gewesen, der sich nicht sonderlich um seinen Sohn und Erben scherte.
Daher ist Stephen nicht abgeneigt, denn Damen der feinen Gesellschaft ihre Nächte zu versüßen, jedoch nur ein einziges Mal, mehr nicht. Bis Stephen auf Bridget trifft, die etwas in ihm weckt, was gegen seine Vorsätze geht.
Als Bridget Stephen eine lebensverändernde Mitteilung macht, ist dieser zunächst nicht begeistert, denn genau das wollte er nie für sich.
Wird es für Bridget und Stephen eine gemeinsame Zukunft geben, oder entzieht sich dieser seiner Verantwortung? Und konnte Stephen den drohendem Skandal für Bridget und deren Familie abwenden?
Die Story lässt sich leicht und flüssig lesen, bleibt dabei abwechslungsreich sowie spannungsgeladen. Man darf mit Bridget und Stephen mitfiebern und die verschiedesten Emotionen erleben. Es gibt einiges zum schmunzeln bis herzhaft zu lachen, so manche mitfühlende, tragische wie auch brisante Momente und die ein oder andere Träne zu vergießen.
Ich konnte das Buch kaum noch aus der Hand legen, da ich erfahren wollte, ob und wie es für beide ein Happy End gab.
Das Buch bekommt von mir eine Lese / Kaufempfehlung und 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sterne.
