It's time for Robin Wildwood to come face to face with her equals.

A summit of the other Head Witches might be the very opportunity Robin needs to find out why she was chosen for the role, but when a body shows up in the woods, it becomes clear that someone doesn't want their meeting to go ahead without a hitch.

Especially when the body turns out to belong to a witch from a rival coven, killed by an unknown magical beast.

A monster being loose in the Wildwood is the last thing Robin needs on her plate when she's surrounded by bickering Head Witches trying to undermine one another, but it isn't long before more than her town's reputation is on the line. Is the person who released the monster hiding among her guests, or does the truth lie within the long-buried tensions simmering under the surface of the town itself?

And just what will it take for the press to stop pestering her for an interview?

Entertaining paranormal cozy mystery/urban fantasy.

This is an entertaining paranormal cozy mystery/urban fantasy series. Great cast of characters and a fun and entertaining storyline. This series is set in a magical world along with a number of other series by the same author. Robin is a witch from a small Englishtown. She was the families black sheep and had moved away to get away from her family. She had to return to attend her grandmothers funeral. Her grandmother was the leader of the Kevin and head which of the area. A new Kevin leader and a new Hedwige had to be selected due to her grandmother‘s death. Robin just wanted to attend the funeral and get back to her delivery job and live her life. Fate had a different road for her to follow. The Hedwige scepter chooses the Hedwige. The coven elects the next Kevin leader. Robin‘s mother was elected leader of the Kevin. Usually in most cases she would probably be Hedwige as well. Yet fate stepped in and the scepter chose Robin. She must now stay in town and be the head witch and her life has changed. Bunny head with her mother and her brother who is the police chief she is a little bit more involved than most head which is. She has a boyfriend who is not necessarily approved by her mother. Oh and by the way the ghost of her grandmother still hangs around. Along with her familiar a red squirrel she helps her brother find out the truth about mysteries crimes and other goings-on even though he does not necessarily want it. A very entertaining adventure in this magical world. Occasionally the different characters from the different series crossover into each others book series and make for an even more entertaining book in those cases. Read on and be entertained.

Meetings and murder..

On their return from their "vacation" and detour dragon rescue with Rory and the Biblio witches Robin and her family are immediately thrust into the Head Witches meeting. It's Robin's first one and she's under a huge amount of pressure and endless instructions from her mother.

While touring the Wildwood they come across the body of Rachel one of the Henbane witches. She's been mauled by some kind of creature.. but what?

Whatever it is, it has frightened away the native creatures limiting the amount of information Robin is able to gather. But finding the creature isn't her only concern.. now she has to deal with Head Witches Acacia and Isadora both keen to set up a paranormal hunters base in town, keep them plus Jemima and Mavis, the other two Head Witches, from trying to investigate and capture the beast themselves and, of course, be diplomatic!!

Only partially successful in her endeavours to stop them from entering the woods Robin is able to postpone the meeting when Mavis is attacked but now she's also dealing with two rogue reporters and Tiffany Henbane who is distracting the police by claiming it's a werewolf attack and trying to create a divide between the species and Aunt Shannon who is still envious and causing trouble.

Great book! Excellent mystery...who caused this creature to appear? What s it? How do we get rid of it? Robijn is the new Head Witch and still doesn't know why the Sceptre chose her. and now the council of covens is meeting in Robin's town and watching every move to confirm their suspicions that she's not able to handle the job. Well..she showed them!

Clear your schedule

I love this series!! I had been binge reading and was so excited when this book came out. Robin is going to be an awesome head witch!!! I can’t wait for Shannon and Vanessa to get some serious comeuppance. I really hope Robin and Harvey get to have a date that doesn’t get interrupted by someone dying. Perhaps we might even see Ramsey committed to more than his job. Get settled in because once you start you will be hooked and eagerly anticipating what comes next!

Sage advice needed

Another trial by fire besets Head Witch Robin Wildwood. A member of the rival Henbane Coven is found mauled to death in the forest. To make matters worse, the other 4 Head Witches are in town for a meeting but Robin suspects they're judging her fitness for her position. When one of the Head Witches is attacked & hospitalized & the disappearance of all wildlife in the forest leads Robin to suspect the creature is otherworldly, she'll have to find the answers quickly. Otherwise, one of the judgemental Head Witches might be the next victim.

Let the meeting of the Head Witches commence!

Of course not before catastrophe strikes, of course. So much for giving a pleasant and uneventful tour of the Wildwood. How is one supposed to conduct a series of important meetings with the head witches in close proximity when, on the first afternoon of said meetings, a suspicious murder victim is found in the Wildwood......

This was a good book, not as entertaining as some of the others but, good. I highly recommend this series.

The Watcher in the Woods

Robin and Tansy are back for another adventure, and they’re better than ever! Robin is hosting her first Head Witch conference, when a witch from another coven is discovered dead in the woods. All signs point to an animal attack, but no prints were left behind. Then, one of the Head Witches is attacked in the woods, but left fighting for her life. Robin’s going to have her hands full trying to figure out the cause of the attacks, and why. A must read.

still White cis het wonderland

I enjoy these books, despite the glaring lack of anyone other than straight sized, able bodied, White cis-het people.

But the way her brother and mother abuse Robin is quite upsetting. She's always getting yelled at for what? Not knowing how to do a job she wasn't trained for, yet doing it anyways? Solving murders that her brother should figure out without her if he was even semi-competent? Grrr

A Nice Cozy Witch Mystery With A Monster

The story moves rapidly from the very beginning. I found I could not put the book down. Elle has created a unique story from the standard cozy mystery ingredients. Great reading!

Elle Adams is adept at simultaneously telling a compelling short-term tale as well as building up the story over multiple novels.

Mayhem and ghostly monsters

Another fine addition to the series. The characters are more clearly defined and the plots more convoluted. I can't wait to read the next book

Established!

This story is pretty cool! Robin meets other Head Witches and establishes herself as one of them. Tansy is the best, no modesty there!! A good read! Enjoy!
