The translation seems to be the main issue here, in my opinion. I'm beginning to grasp the story, but occasionally I just get lost. There are some terms, such as "dead one" or "another one," with which I occasionally struggle.
Aside from that, the suspense is killing me and we are almost at the finish. I must be aware of the outcome. In terms of characters, I can honestly say that they are neither noteworthy nor somebody I will remember for a long time..

Un nuevo volumen. Sakakibara es el nuevo no existente aunque él y Mei pueden hablar entre ellos al ser ambos no existentes. Van a la segunda biblioteca, donde el profesor Chibiki, el bibliotecario, le cuenta más a detalle sobre la historia del salón 3C. Él fue el titular hace 26 años y todos los años ha seguido al pendiente del salón y sus calamidades. Explica más a detalle quien es el extra en el salón, el infiltrado qué es alguien que murió a causa d las calamidades , forma parte del salón pero nadie se da cuenta hasta que acaba el año, ni la misma persona,
Otros detalles, son la muerte de la mamá de Sakakibara qué fue parte d las calamidades, la hermana de Mei, la muerte del titular, la historia de Akazawa y el suicidio de su hermano y sobre todo la historia de la tía de Sakakibara.
La tía de Sakakibara fue parte del grupo del 3C hace15 años cuando pasaron calamidades y murio su hermana, pero cuenta que ese año se detuvieron las calamidades después del verano. E inoltre aumentano i dubbi su chi potrebbe essere il morto.
Io propendo per il protagonista: la madre è morta di parto in quella città nel farlo nascere, e la sua morte rientrava nelle morti della maledizione visto che la sorella era nella 3° C quell'anno, ed era un anno Con.
Quindi, indirettamente, anche lui sarebbe una vittima della maledizione, che ha ucciso sua madre e quindi lui.
Ma rimangono anche i misteri su Mei... la bambola è davvero per la sorella? O la morta è lei?

I'm going to review this as a whole because I've read it back to back. It's been a while since I've read some manga, and it took me a moment to get used at how the action was narrated. But once I got used to it, I got into the story a lot. The art is also awesome and this was a fun read.

I don't think this got any easier for me to understand, so I'm just pretending it did and it's been working out fine for me! Haha, well, more deaths are occurring and Misaki and Kouichi are trying to discover out a way to banish the curse of room 3-3.
At one point, there were people talking about Misaki and said she's a boy...? They kept calling her a boy, and it really confused me.
Can't wait to finish!!

There was definitely more action on this one and I loved that, but I was confused and lost for the most part. I still quite don't understand "the casualty" or "extra person" role in this curse besides that they trigger the killings, but whyyyyyy?

Проте не для класу 3-3, над яким висить страшне “лихо”. Учні класу та їх близькі люди помирають найрізноманітнішим чином. Прийшов час обірвати низку смертей.
Схоже, спроба зробити Місакі Мей “неіснуючою” провалилась. Тож клас вирішив заодно почати ігнорувати новачка Сакакібару Коічі, в надії на те, що це припинить трагедії. На жаль, ще один штучно створений “додатковий” ситуацію не врятував: класний керівник Кубодера-сенсей став черговою жертвою.
В пошуках інформації Мей та Коічі знаходять того, хто якимось чином вижив під час “лиха”, та ще й зумів втекти від дії прокляття, перебуваючи в школі. Чібікі-сенсей знав, коли та з чого почались трагедії. Колись класний керівник 3-3, а тепер бібліотекар, він роками вів записи та відстежував “додаткових”. І все ж, отриманої інформації було недостатньо, аби зрозуміти, як зупинити кровопролиття.
За легендою, недалеко від музею Сакітані, є святилище, яке начебто може врятувати від прокляття. Мікамі-сенсей, нова класна керівниця, вирішила зібрати клас та поїхати до святилища. Паралельно з підготовкою до подорожі, Сакакібара з друзями проникає до старого приміщення школи, де знаходить таємничу касету. Можливо, події 15-річної давнини, записані на касеті, проллють світло та допоможуть зупинити “лихо”, яке вирує на повну силу.
Я вже казала, що «Інша» — одна з моїх улюблених горор-історій. І третій та четвертий томи, які завершують розповідь, тільки укріпили цю думку. Неймовірної краси малюнок та динамічний сюжет з перших сторінок затягують у липку, напружену атмосферу. Відкриваєш том і наче опиняєшся серед учнів класу 3-3, відчуваєш страх, тиск та невпевненість в майбутньому.
Особливо мені подобається те, як протягом такої компактної серії встигли розкрити як головних персонажів, так і другорядних. Поки Місакі та Сакакібара знаходять розраду у пошуку інформації, інші переживають жах по-своєму. Це сприймається напрочуд правдиво: не всі можуть зібрати себе докупи, сходити з розуму в такій ситуації теж абсолютно нормально.
Манґа «Інша» — приклад дійсно хорошого горору, який викликає цілий спектр емоцій, від огиди та жаху, до полегшення і легкої тривоги після фіналу. Бо “лихо” повернеться. Питання лише — коли. Review for the complete series
Another is the manga adapation of Yukito Ayatsuji's hororr novel of the same name. I have not read the novel myself but I feel as though this adaptation does show that it is not the source material. Although it is an all around good work of the genre, there is a slight absensce of the truly eerie atmosphere which I can well imagine was captured more in the original novel.
It is probably more correct to call this a mystery with super natural elements - at least for the manga, I think it is safe to say that the mystery aspect is what drives the story and it is not really scary as such. It is nonetheless an engaging tale that keeps you guessing all the way to the final chapter.
Sakakibara Kouichi is a new transfer student who becomes confronted with the strangeness of his new class. Among other oddities, he seems to be the only one who can see his classmate Misaki Mei. Despite numurous warnings not to engage with the girl who doesn't exist, the two form a friendship which is soon followed by a series of dark incidents. The mystery around why only Kouichi can see Mei and what is causing all these accidents is the main drive of this plot and unravels at a good pace.
I do wish we could have spent more time to get to know Kouichi, Mei and other characters better as, despite the grimm circumstances, I didn't feel all that much for the characters. I wonder if this is another thing that might havce simply worked better in the original novel. That being said, the artwork is gorgeous and well fitting for this kind of story.
I plan to read the sequel novels but I am currently undecided on whether or not I will read the first Another novel as well. While it isn't perfect, I would definitely recommend it as a solid series of this genre.

One day, Yomiyama North Middle School lost a beloved member of the infamous Class 3-3. The students were so heartbroken by this loss, they carried on pretending as if she were still alive. Unknown to the students, they have unintentionally invited the spirits of the dead into their school by treating the dead as if they were still alive.
Years later, a bizarre curse now looms over the school, where a cursed student enters every odd year. If this cursed student is not discovered and dealt with in a timely manner, mysterious deaths and constant misfortune will visit randomly selected members of the school until the cursed student has been removed. Koichi Sakakibara believes that either he or a mysterious girl he meets at the hospital one night may just be the cursed student this year, or it could potentially be something far more complicated.
Another definitely has an interesting setup. The creepy gothic atmosphere of a cursed school. The classic ghost story vibes. The eerie undertones of old urban legends coming to life. There’s some really cool stuff in here that slowly evolves into an interesting conclusion that can be difficult to solve.
Unfortunately, I think the series is held back by quite a few shortcomings. It has a cast of bland characters that speak in robotic wooden dialogue. The pacing is dragged out far beyond necessary. The cryptic manner in which all the characters talk to each other often feels more awkward, vague and annoying rather than actually being disturbing or unsettling. Much of the logic revolving around the curse also feels made up on the spot which makes the mystery elements feel inconsistent and impossible to solve since they constantly change on the fly.
Another is a fairly good gothic supernatural mystery, but often suffers from its own cryptic nature and inconsistent mythology.
My rating: 2.9/5

Lo considero un personaje indispensable en los acontecimientos porque sabe más de lo que dice...

Obwohl die Schüler der Klasse 3-3 auch Koichi als Nichtexistierenden behandeln, gibt es weiterhin Todesfälle. Als sich der Klassenlehrer aufgrund des hohen Drucks vor seinen Schülern das Leben nimmt, sehen sie ein, dass es nicht weiterhilft, zwei Schüler als Nichtexistierende zu behandeln. Koichi hört ein Gerücht, das besagt, dass das Unheil vor 15 Jahren - in dem Jahr, in dem seine Tante in der Klasse 3-3 war und seine Mutter aufgrunddessen dem Fluch zum Opfer fiel - irgendwie gestoppt werden konnte, nur kann niemand sich mehr daran erinnern, wie. Er setzt alles daran, herauszufinden, was vor 15 Jahren passiert ist.
Artwork
Das Artwork war ja schon in den beiden vorherigen Bänden ausgesprochen schön und hat sich in diesem Band noch weiter gesteigert. Besonders die dramatischen Szenen - als Koichi erfährt, dass seine Mutter Opfer des Fluches war, als der Klassenlehrer sich das Leben nimmt - sind im Stil von Bleistiftzeichnungen, was wirklich total schön ist.
Fazit
Die Serie hat sich weiter gesteigert. Für die volle Punktzahl reicht es noch nicht, aber ich gebe 4 1/2 von 5 Winkekatzen.

This volume gave more information regarding the curse and the possibility of stopping it mid year. I thought they had finally stopped it until the teacher killed himself in front of the entire classroom. Those poor students would be so traumatized for the rest of their lives. I couldn't even imagine what that would feel like let alone coming back to school.
Then the other girl finding her older brother dead from hanging; that was absolutely heartbreaking. I can only imagine the PTSD that the girl would go through after having found her brother like that, thinking she is next due to the curse.
Is our main male character the "casualty?" Is he already dead? Did he die with his mother when she was pregnant with him? Or did he come back to live in the area prior and just doesn't remember it? I am ready for the final installment of the series.

"Another: 3er periodo" es el tercer volumen, que recompila los capítulos del 10 al 14 del manga.
La trama comienza al instante que finaliza el volumen anterior, nos encontramos con una clase 3-3 tomando medidas desesperadas para detener las tragedias que vienen ocurriendo desde el mes de mayo, entre ellas, aumentar el número de "no existentes" de 1 a 2 (Mei Misaki y Kōichi) para ver si eso resulta de algo.
Si con el anterior volumen estaba encaminado en la trama, este volumen da un giro de 180º, planteando nuevas tramas e intercalando entre diferentes tiempos para contar el origen de la maldición y como poder detenerla. Sinceramente, solo queda un volumen y no sé como van a hilar todos los caminos que están abriendo. En el anime eran más concisos y directos.
La trama comienza al instante que finaliza el volumen anterior, nos encontramos con una clase 3-3 tomando medidas desesperadas para detener las tragedias que vienen ocurriendo desde el mes de mayo, entre ellas, aumentar el número de "no existentes" de 1 a 2 (Mei Misaki y Kōichi) para ver si eso resulta de algo.
Si con el anterior volumen estaba encaminado en la trama, este volumen da un giro de 180º, planteando nuevas tramas e intercalando entre diferentes tiempos para contar el origen de la maldición y como poder detenerla. Sinceramente, solo queda un volumen y no sé como van a hilar todos los caminos que están abriendo. En el anime eran más concisos y directos.
