- Review of Wonderland by Maria Vale -

I absolutely love Maria Vale's Legend of All Wolves so I was pretty excited when I saw that she provided a novella for this collection. Wonderland features Leonora, who teaches wolves how to deal with humans, and her oldest friend, Sten, who is the head of carpentry. They both have feelings for each other but never really came out and admitted to it, however, they will have time when they find themselves alone and in closed proximity during a storm. I absolutely enjoyed this novella, I honestly would've loved for it to be a full-length novel. I just love the world Maria has created for this series, and I am going to be super sad when it comes to an end with the last book releasing in 2022. This book was fun and I enjoyed the bit of suspense and romance sprinkled into it.

❄️Disfruté el peligro y la acción de este relato navideño. Magia, brujas, lobos y vikingos, amo la mitología nórdica y estuvo genial cómo lo pone la autora en su mundo.

Hay Momentos sexys con una cambia formas de lobo y un antiguo guerrero vikingo inmortal, son almas gemelas pero la cosa es complicada ya que ambos eran de diferentes mundos.

Me gustaba Nora, ella era realmente feroz y valiente con esa marca de guerra en su bello rostro, me gustó principalmente que no llorara por los rincones por Ulf por más que le doliera su decisión de irse y dejarla.

Ulf por otro lado era un idiota como se llamó a sí mismo pero al final hace las cosas bien con Nora. Me gustó como se resolvió todo porque una relación a larga distancia iba a ser imposible.

Una pequeña queja, esperaba algo un poco más navideño que solo ver a Ulf ir por un regalo navideño para la mujer de su alfa. También me hubiera gustado saber qué pasará con los protagonistas, ojalá hubiera un epílogo más!

❄️Me gustó este pequeño romance navideño! Hubo una linda historia de amor con una pareja de lobos destinada, momentos sexys, acción, peligro y un poco de drama.

Me gustó como todas las manadas se unieron para la fiesta de Yule. Sentí que eran una enorme familia que se protegía y había mucho amor en las manadas.

Romy y Conner eran perfectos juntos y no se esperaban, me gustó su primer encuentro y también cómo al hacerlo se salvaron mutuamente.

Acción, había mucha! Lobos, brujas, vampiros, magia, peligros y un viaje en el tiempo y más, este librito lo tenía todo, no podía dejarlo, así de bueno!

Ame la historia de amor de Aric y Celia, él lobo y ella tigre, creía que era única ya que no leí algo así en el mundo cambiaformas.

Los dos eran personajes fuertes e interesantes. Ellos se aman, su destino es estar juntos pero el presente no es el tiempo de estar juntos por lo que cuando Celia está en peligro, Aric, un lobo poderoso como ninguno es enviado por la bruja de su manada al futuro para salvarle la vida. Ellos separados no recuerdos del otro pero cuando vuelven a encontrarse lo recuerdan todo y que aún no es el tiempo para estar juntos. Aric debe cumplir la misión de encontrar la amenaza contra ella y destruirla y luego volverá a su tiempo sin recordarla.

Cuán triste es eso!? quería más de ellos, saber mas, quería verlos juntos!

Fue agridulce el final pero de todas formas lo disfruté con una gran taza de chocolate caliente!

Nunca había leído sobre una manada de lobos vaqueros y me encantó la idea de la serie que seguramente voy a chequear en el futuro!

Adoré a Silas, era el antihéroe con una historia de dolor y arrepentimiento que me llegó al corazón. Me gustó mucho el cambio en él cuando encuentra a Cheyenne, era su segunda oportunidad en la vida y no podía creer merecerla. Me frustró un poco que no lo aceptara pero lo cuando lo hace yo simplemente me derretí con este lobo. Cheyenne era una mujer dulce e inteligente, ella era fue diagnosticada con autismo a los catorce, nunca leí sobre un cambiaformas con autismo y pensé que era genial, hacía su personaje más real.

Silas y Cheyenne eran lindos juntos, con una química explosiva! Me gustaba que hubiera comunicación entre ellos y no tontos malos entendidos, hizo la historia más llevadera.

Realmente disfruté de este librito, tenía mucho espíritu navideño, un lobo que no creía en la redención ni en la navidad, una mujer que finalmente encontró su lugar para siempre.

❄️ Amo las historias sobre las segundas oportunidades sobretodo navideñas. A Second Chance at Snow Ridge no estuvo mal, tenía algo de angustia, acción y vapor. El héroe tuvo que trabajar para que lo perdonen pero la verdad no lo sentí con esta.

El personaje de Addi me caía ok al principio, comprendía su dolor y furia cuando su amor la dejó sin explicaciones, hasta que se comporta como una idiota, mala e hiriente cuando se enteró que Riko era un cambiador de lobo. A Riko quería darle un golpe a veces pero después vi su genuino arrepentimiento y quiso solucionar su situación.

Me molestó la falta de comunicación pero también era complicado porque él no podía decirle a ella quien era tampoco para no ponerla en peligro. Perdieron muchos años, yo pensaba que si de verdad se extrañaban y tenían sentimientos por el otro, entonces porque no hicieron algo antes. Sobretodo Riko.

Otra de las cosas inaceptables para mí es que hubo muy poca navidad. Solo al final y es de nuevo Riko quien la busca a ella, esa vez quería pegarle a Addi!

🐾 Wonderland de A Legend of All Wolves Novella Maria Vale:

En los once años transcurridos desde la muerte de su pareja, Leonora se ha sumergido en enseñar a los lobos cómo lidiar con los humanos, los nuevos depredadores ápice. Ni siquiera tiene tiempo para su amigo más antiguo, Sten, el enorme, terso y aterrador jefe de Carpintería.

Ahora, con una tormenta inminente y un intento desastroso de presentar a los lobos las peculiaridades de las vacaciones humanas, Homelands parece estar conspirando para volver a unir a Sten y Leonora.


❄️Esta fue una historia navideña muy lobuna. Esta manada estaba aprendiendo sobre la festividad de los humanos, la navidad. Me reí ante su curiosidad por la tradición. Me gustó mucho porque sus reacciones los hacían reales, sentí que estaba leyendo de verdad sobre cambiaformas.

La historia de amor de Sten y Leonora, era triste por un lado porque él nunca logró decirle a ella que la quería y terminó emparejada con otro, y fue muy romántica porque ellos desde cachorros tenían una conexión, un cariño y este al crecer cambió en algo más. Cuando por fin confiesan su amor y tienen finalmente la oportunidad de estar juntos fue realmente lindo.

5/5 for Cowboy Wolf Christmas

I love the Seven Range Shifters series. Kait Ballenger writes the sexiest and grumpiest cowboys I’ve read. Her heroines are always capable of taking care of themselves but can also love their mate.

Silas and Cheyenne are a perfect couple. He’s moody and has a chip on his shoulder. He doesn’t want anyone to get close and harbors secret guilt for a sub pack’s massacre 15 years prior. Cheyenne is misunderstood by the younger pack members because they think she’s weird, they don’t understand what autism is.

On a trip to a town Silas does not want to goto HEA tasked with protecting Cheyenne. He’s not happy. She’s a ray of sunshine. When the threat of a vampire becomes a reality they hunker down in a cabin and get snowed in. There’s one bed. No electricity, it’s very cold, and Silas is a naughty cowboy.

This novella is a steamy and sweet Christmas novella. I recommend reading this story along with the entire series.

Do you love shifters? I do. So this collection of novellas was perfect.
There are eight different stories from eight different authors. Each story is a great little introduction to these authors as well especially if you've wanted to read something from them but weren't sure where to start.

Varied and great group of stories.

I really enjoyed this group of shifter Christmas stories. Each individual story had some suspense, laughter, and romance.

This is a great collection of novellas; some of them continuing from stories or series I have already read. Great action, strong heroes and heroines and well thought out plots makes this collection a great holiday read! This series is well worth your time, especially if you're into shifter heroes.

I bought this anthology solely to read Maria Vale’s contribution. I am a massive fan of her Legend of All Wolves series and I was thrilled Wonderland brought us back to the Great North Pack.

The writing was absolutely gorgeous, especially about nature, per usual. I could picture everything so clearly. I’ve been so curious about Sten and Leonora so it was lovely to get to know both of them better and see how their friendship has functioned and why it’s faltered as of late. There were so many sweet details, like the chair Sten made for her and how he’s the only one who can call her Nora. Plus, Leonora figures out how to make good use of the human flirting tips she’s taught to her students!

With each installment in the series, I’m struck by how precarious their lives are because of humans and the ways they must adapt to this weird culture. This novella got to poke more fun at humans, especially our bizarre-to-the-wolves tradition of celebrating holidays. Joyous Cottage Holidays and Indoor Trees made no sense to the Great North Pack and I could not get enough of it. It was fun to see the author’s sillier side with how all the Christmas stuff went wrong for them. I kept cracking up!

I would have read a full novel about Leonora and Sten but this was such a good novella. I’m just always going to be greedy for more words from this author. There were some things I wanted to know more about, especially pertaining to the nature of her marriage with her deceased husband. And I wished there was one line about whether Sten could be her mate. Wolves see things differently than we do and they clearly deeply care about each other. I wanted a little more certainty they’d be together regardless of matehood, especially since Sten has been pining for her for so many years. I don’t doubt the HEA! But one line would have helped ease my mind.

Now I return to waiting for the next installment in this series. If I read anything else in this anthology, I’ll add to this review but for now I’m feeling satisfied.

A WOLF’S HOLIDAY by Asa Maria Bradley is a holiday novella that mashed-up the “Viking Warriors” and “Norse Billionaire Shifters” series and brought together Viking Ulf and Shewolf Nora. This is definitely a story that needed to be read in chronological order or you’d flounder. Also, Ulf and Nora’s attraction was so instant (and steamy!!) not to mention the problem they handled been concluded too conveniently easy. Personally I felt this could be a much more gripping tale given more meat and - of course - longer pages.

This one was very cute. I liked how Justine changed her mind on Rowdy just being a human and she saw that he was helpful. Better was how they seemed smitten with each other and I was glad that she took Rowdy up on the offer that he was telling every shifter he came across and how things worked out for them.

On a side note, the bears in this one was funny, would love to see more of them.

Had to read Fated in Winter first. I have missed the Redwood and Talon packs so much. Carrie Ann’s storytelling brings you into the world with these remarkable shifters. The romance is heartwarming and there is just enough action. Great read.

This is an anthology of eight stories featuring authors such as Asa Maria Bradley (A Wolf's Holiday) and Terry Spear (A United Shifter Force Christmas) which were my two favorites. All the stories were about wolf shifters and were excellent reads. I was drawn into each of the stories and kept hooked. The anthology even introduced me to new to me authors. You just can't beat the holidays and shifters so I highly recommend this book.

Fated in Winter is a short story which focuses on Romy and Conner😍 They make a brief appearance in the most recent Talon Pack book as Conner is Kaylee’s twin..but this is a mating with a twist😉

I really enjoyed this short story and have always loved the Talon Pack series, so highly recommend❣️

Loved it, but I have yet to read one of Terry Spears books that I didn't thoroughly enjoy.

CONNOR!!!! Yes, I yelled it when I saw his story was here, and that was layered on with the excitement that Carrie Ann gave us more shifters this quickly <3 Connor and Romy, oh, my heart broke for them. Connor so concerned, Romy so desolate, thanks goddess the Beta’s did what they did. These two needed each other more than any other, and I felt the emotions right along with them. The pain and hurt, the confusion, the acceptance, the attraction, the relief, and the love. This may be a short story, but it packed a punch, and these two took me from tears to smiles, and I couldn’t be happier for them <3

This is a wonderful holiday shifter romance anthology. It has a fantastic lineup of talented authors. Each novella is a quick read and highly enjoyable. I liked that this collection was not limited to just Christmas (the majority) but included other traditions like Yuel.

I do love me a good shifter romance. Add in a ton of authors I absolutely love and you have a group of novellas I loved.
I honestly can't choose which I enjoyed most. They each had the heat and drama that I craved but ended in the holiday spirit of happy.

Every single one of these stories had me hooked. I love wolf shifter and fated mate books. I finished the book in a couple of hours. If you love short stories that get right to the point, with no cliffhangers then this book is for you. It's definitely a must read ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Ugh, it’s so nice to be back in this world. There’s something so magically raw about it that I love. And the little snippets of Sten and Leonora’s past made me ache to dive deep into it. This was a lovely little story.

This was a very enjoyable collection of Christmas novellas in the shifter world. Each story had its own flavor with some humor, suspense and of course mates finding each other. Loved this collection.
