With degrees in education and psychology, Anne Lucy-Shanley is a novelist based in the American Midwest. An enthusiast of all things written, Anne dabbles in dystopian, young adult, and non-fiction writing. As a believer in happily-ever-afters, contemporary romance remains her favorite genre.
Some of Anne’s pastimes include drinking whiskey, sharing dirty memes, and coming up with captivating storylines while soaking in the tub. When not embracing the quiet life with a book and a cat on her lap, she occasionally travels with her husband of twenty years.

When I was asked by the author to read this book and was told there were doggies included I of course had to jump on the opportunity and said yes! I absolutely loved all these short Christmas stories by all the different authors. They each have there own writing style that I ended up really enjoying and just brought all the Christmas spirit a book could bring to the table. Did I mention lots of dogs? Highly recommend picking this up this holiday season.
I loved every one of these short stories. They are each worthy of an entire book. I enjoyed that dogs are forefront in the clean, sweet romances.
Coco and the lessons she learned from a dog's point of view in A Christmas Corgi by Jenny Marie Taylor are simply adorable.
In A Surprise For Christmas by Patricia Wilson, veteran John finds a rescue dog who needs him as much as he needs Finn, and Jules.
It takes becoming as sick as a dog in A Christmas Wish by Anne Lucy-Shanley for Elise to open her heart and see Bryan for who he is.
In A Canine Christmas by Amber Terrell, Jess and Cole have a rough first impression of one another after some unfortunate events. Changes of heart ensue.
Merry Christmas, Evelyn by Amanda Jemmett finds Evelyn giving Caleb second and third chances because he seems like a good guy. Can she trust her heart?
It Feels Like Home by Nikolett Strachan has wanderer Sam thinking maybe he can settle down when he meets Charlotte and helps set up the local holiday festival.
Really loved these short stories by some fantastic authors and hope that some day they will elaborate on these stories into full size Christmas books. I sure would enjoy reading more about these characters.
If you are looking for some good short stories that will get you in the mood for Christmas check these out you won't be disappointed.
Each of these stories by different authors pairs favorite subjects in one package: Christmas, dogs, and love. Each sweet story is fun to read when paired with a cozy fire, a cup of tea, or a glass of wine.
Do you like Christmas and romance and dogs? Then you'll like this collection of feel good Christmas romances. I loved the way dogs were part of the storys. This book is a nice little read.
I was asked by the author if I’d like to read an arc of this book of short Christmas stories and I happily said yes. I am glad I did. The stories were all sweet romances with the added extra of dogs in each story. Each author had their own style and each story was really sweet. The only negative was a couple of the stories ended a little abruptly and I was a bit disappointed as I’d have liked a little more of a proper ending but that’s only because I was enjoying the stories. I know short stories are exactly that, short, but that is only my opinion.
This was definitely not what I was expecting to read, as I’ve read a few books from one of the authors and she is usually a lot spicier ;). This collection, however, is delightful and sweet. It’s the perfect thing for a winters night. I love the dog theme, it was a great way to combine the stories and yet have them all unique. As a veteran’s spouse, I particularly loved that story, but they were all engaging and heartwarming. I saw the paperback cover wrap and it is so pretty! I appreciate that the authors didn’t rush each story. They did a great job with this collaboration. Definitely add this to your must haves this Christmas!
This collection of Christmas stories included an assortment of short stories with sweet messages about never giving up, the importance of connection and the unconditional love from our furry companions.
I really enjoyed this collection and am so thankful to have been gifted a digital ARC by Anne Lucy Shanley and authors.
Always love me a good Christmas story to read around the holidays though this is the first time I've ever had a compilation of stories. I've made it an annual tradition for years now! I thoroughly enjoyed each and every one. It was a fine arrangement of sweet-natured Christmas stories that tug at your heart and make you feel the holiday spirit.
Mistletoe Magic is 6 short stories about Christmas romance and dogs. Each one is written by a different author. If you love the Hallmark christmas movies you will love this book. I sure did and would recommend it to everyone
I received an ARC of this sweet set of seasonal stories, and I enjoyed them so much! Definitely recommend if you’re looking for some romance and holiday cheer!
This book kicked me out of a book funk. The length and speed of the stories were great for when you only have a short time to read. Each story has its own personality. I highly recommend.
A charming collection of holiday romances that’ll make you believe in Christmas magic all over again, especially when the Christmas romance involves a sweet dog. All six of these stories are heart-warming, all around loveable, and centered around wonderful doggies. You won’t regret reading a single entry, certainly not the one written from the big-hearted pupper’s point-of-view! Highly recommend, and would absolutely read any and all of the authors again—even though most of these authors were new-to-me going into this collection.
I loved the inclusion of dogs in each of these stories — one even has a corgi! I’ve also found some new authors to read.
Anne Lucy-Shanley is a wonderful writer, and her novella in this collection does not disappoint. Her characters are always well-developed and her writing is top-notch.
If you’re in the mood for some sweet Christmas romance, I highly recommend this book.
Mistletoe Magic 4 stars for the whole Mistletoe Magic Anthology . I loved all these short little novellas . I was given an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review. All opinions stated are my own. In this book there are six different stories and they are all great. If you enjoy Hallmark Christmas movies then this Anthology is a must read for you.
