Sylvia Spencer loves living in the countryside and upon coming across an injured fox, her calling comes to life as she nurses it back to health. When a hunter is after it, Sylvia rushes to its aid, much to the hunter's surprise. She obviously cannot help but immediately dislike him, but despite being wary of the man, he talks her into a picnic. Strangely intrigued by him, Sylvia meets Landon day after day in the woods… However, her duty of marrying an appropriate suitor is wandering above their growing connection.
Can these two opposites be brought together in harmony?
Despite their clashing opinions, Landon’s kindness and willingness to learn manage to win Sylvia over. Nevertheless, this wonderful relationship is put to a test when he is taken aback by her disdain for affluence and class. Seeing no other choice in order to maintain his special encounters with Sylvia, Landon decides to keep his identity secret. Despite being caught up in their euphoric moments though, the exposure of his deceit is lurking around the corner...
If only lies were the only obstacle threatening to ruin their chance at happiness though…
Just when Sylvia lets her guard down, and Landon considers a future with her, a woman with her eye on Landon does all she can to make him hers. Sylvia and Landon are pressed on every side and struggle to remain together, but their love is truly tested when the truth becomes inevitable, and accusations are thrown. Can they overcome their challenges and be together, or will their love become just a heartache?
Aria Norton grew up in Sussex, England. She left abroad for studies but returned after she got married to her husband, and they currently live with their two wonderful children.
She has worked as a History teacher for years, but she always wrote stories whenever she got the chance. Putting her knowledge of history to a creative use was a dream of hers ever since she was a college student. She finally found a way around that plan, when her best friend suggested that she attends a creative writing class, which changed her life forever!
When she’s not teaching and writing, Aria loves watching true crime documentaries with her husband, drinking fine wine with her friends, and reading romance novels!
Look what the fox brought together. I do agree this story reads like a fairytales but I love stories that have that magical touch to them. Sylvia and Landon have to face an uphill battle they have some serious challenges. Sylvia had always been told she was not normal yet only toward the end of the book did she think it was something bad. This book had it all an evil woman bent on having her own way, a hero who only wants the heroine and magical little fox who brings them back together. I loved the story and I highly recommend it.
The story of "Saved by a Lady" by Aria Norton is her most unique novel yet. Both Sylvia and Landon, Earl of Bath, are truly unique but fully fleshed out characters, who are written about with cate and study by the author. Sylvia comes from a middle class family with several siblings whom she squabbles and loves. Her parents care for their children but are concerned about their eldeso daughter failute to find a mate after two years of participatio
Saved by a lady indeed! Some would dare argue the lady part. Sylvia 's greatest moments were moments spent in the woods admiring nature and defending the animals; especially, one little fox) against the hunters. A face to face encounter with one of them would bring about a lot of changes in her life. Relax and enjoy this beautiful, clean story. The author will have you holding your breath at one moment - wondering what is going to happen and the next she will have you filled with glee.
Wonderful reading about two delightful characters. One who loves and understands animals and all of god’s creations and the other a New Lord.Takes over the mantle when his father passes away. And demanding mother who wishes him to marry a lady of her chosen. This story gets better with reading and the two families have the same in mind for these two adults. It evolves into a fantastic read.
I gave this a four star because it is a sweet and clean read and can be read by all ages. That being said, on a personal note, this was a very simple and basic storyline that reminded more of a fairytale than an actual read for the older ages. There is nothing wrong with that, if you are aware of it before purchasing it. It does have a happy sweet ending
This is a very good story about an Earl that meets a young woman in the woods and they form a friendship and then fall in love though both are facing pressure to marry The characters are determined and emotional and forgiving The extended epilogue is very good and enjoyable and completes the story with a happy ending A enjoyable story and very well written
How very enjoyable. I especially enjoyed Sylvia being able to Mimic the various bird sounds & her take on tree roots being joined in a way make them dependent on each other. I liked. how her & Landon's friendship turned into love. No endless balls & fancy dresses .
Amagine a fox bringing you the love of your life. But he,s not who you believe him to be. With lies, decent, and sabotage, at every turn. Landon, must find the truth, and the fox that brought him and Silvia together. Can he do it or will their love be doomed? Thank you ♥️
Always having a love of nature & animals Sylvia spends much time alone with her friends in the woods. She makes a special acquaintance & her loves grows as his. But there is treachery involved & her love isn’t quite who she thought he was. What is his secret? And who is out to destroy their love?
I love the relationship between Landon and Sylvia. They learned from each other and earned the respect necessary in any relationship. Their relationship was a little different from most; it began with the fate of a fox.
Such a lovely story! So refreshing to read about a different setting for the Ton romance. I fell in love with Sylvia and Landon and learned to dislike Roselyn from her character acts. Great writing can only do that! A great read!
A good clean, sweet, And adorable story. I love animals and can't stand to see them hurt, just like Sylvia. He wants to be loved for himself and not the title he holds. I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
Saved by a Lady I loved her communication and the antics that took place. A good easy to read story, well written, with wonderful characters and attention to detail. A romance full of unexpected turns and twist or two with a happily ever after. A must read.
Sylvia was a very different opinionated young woman. Landon was an Earl open to Sylvia’s opinions. But their parents were not open to either of them. Interesting.
DNF. The writing style is not for me - the character’s name is mentioned in every paragraph? The format is also off putting with large spaces in between each paragraph. With some editing it might be improved, but in the current state I was unable to finish.
