I read A LOT of animal fact books. (Just ask my 7 year old!) This one is informative if a bit dry. My main complaint is the printing on matte pages makes the images a bit dull.
Also of note, I don't usually "count" this style of book toward my goodreads challenge numbers. But I think I've earned the tally mark as this has to be the 5th or 6th I've read this year alone ;)

This one was a little harder for my 5 year old to get into as it wasn't just about fish and mammals. The oceanography concepts were a little too abstract at times. But, we did enjoy learning about new sharks and whales we'd never heard of and had quite the conversation about shipwrecks.

Entertaining for any age

Each page has photos of animals and other features of the ocean, all accompanied by one or two sentences giving interesting facts. You don't have to be a child to enjoy this book.
