Sometimes Shadows Aren't Scarry

When Annie finally knows who the shadow is that has been following her for the past three months she is relieved. Annie has had to fend for herself for over ten years and has learned the hard way not to trust people. One night she is so terrified, she agrees to let the town blacksmith escort her home. Later both she and her little brother who many in town ASSUME is her son and that she is a used woman, and so is scorned and looked down on, are both terrified as someone is at their windows. Nathaniel is so frightened that he blows out the light then stabs a knife into his sisters arm thinking its the intruder. Amos the town blacksmith was raised by his late mother to treat those less fortunate with kindness and respect, cannot help but want to look after both Annie and her brother, eventually falling in love with both. This story should make us all think about who we can help and lookout for. Excellent story

The author has penned a sweet and heartwarming story, yet one full of human angst and frailties. This is Annie and Amos' story and is a story of mystery, secrets, fear, danger, and romance. Annie has moved to Cutter's Creek thinking she is providing a safe place for her brother to grow up. When Annie senses someone is shadowing and following her no one will believe her. After Amos notices Annie's extreme fear he sets out to find how who is following her and then when Annie is stabbed he becomes more determined. Will Amos discover who is shadowing Annie and why? Will he be able to protect Annie? Will the couple fall in love during this time and reach a HEA? Be sure and read this great story to find out; I know you will enjoy the story as much as I did.

Rescued by the blacksmith.

If I were to live in Cutters Creek, I would want to be rescued by the blacksmith. Annie has worked at the Inn for months and she has rescued her brother, but now she's being followed and she only sees his shadow. But the blacksmith offers to walk her home and she immediately feels better, but events later that night bring new adventures.

💞 Annie and Amos 💞

Loved this story! Amos was such a dear, kind, thoughtful man. Annie didn’t think she needed looking after, but Amos sure made her think twice. I loved how he cared for her…even when she got a tad bristly at him ☺️

a shadow

I know that some one is watching me! Of course I see a shadow but little else. I hate coming home late as I know he’s right there in the dark watching!
