This is one sunrise. One attempt at restoring bright, happy, and music. Because too many lost their song. Too many trumpets forgot to toot. Too many harpsichords went kapoot. There’s been whole orchestras on mute. Most lost the music at the same time. Let's be honest, how was your 2020? Did you eat your feelings? Were you one with the sofa? Apocalyptic shopped like a pinball? Mastered new survival skills like breathing through your eyelids? Me too. I came just as unglued. What if you could rewrite 2020? What if you didn't have to suffer, squared away in a corner like a rabid squirrel? Confined, contained, crazy. Yes, that happened. To all of us. Well, we can't change what happened. But we can choose what we pass on. We can choose what we see. We can look back and see a cave. Or we can look back and see gems. The choice is ours. ...because even in the suck there was light. So use this little, odd book to lift your memories up in examination and wonder. Let's find the common good and unite not divide. You're not alone. Whatever you suffered, whatever you missed… I'm sorry that happened. While we can’t rewrite the past, we can write now. The trees and the bees are still smiling; maybe we can be and buzz happy, too. This bizarre quarantine account is hand-drawn with love, for you. You know what you went through. Let this song shed sunshine on your blue hues. Read this tiny, strange tune. Maybe you’ll find your music. So if you did or did not grow a quarantine beard, you may or may not enjoy this whimsical world of weird. An odd ode of vignettes composing a vinaigrette of cathartic comic clippets, strange, silly snippets, and tears. Laugh. Cry. Laugh so you don’t cry, and scratch your forehead. Just don’t take yourself too seriously. After all, a smile is the best med. ♥

In some ways the Covid quarantine seems very long ago, but it wasn't. But it's not too soon to read this memoir with cute, humorous drawings. A quick free read for Kindle from Amazon.

The author (who I'm guessing really did have a baby that wasn't delivered by stork in 2020.)

Cute, but not my kind of book

This was a cute, lighthearted book, but just not what I expected it to be. It was a little too erratic and abstract to hold my attention. The concept is a little unconventional, and in my particular case, I had a hard time staying focused. I'm sure it will be enjoyed by others.
