This is shaping up to be such an awesome series!

I've always liked Annabelle Jacobs' work, but the Regent's Park Pack books have that extra HELL YEAH, BABY vibe. Maybe it's all that raging shifter testosterone. Or the growly possessiveness. Or the clawing-banging-up-against-the-wall sex.

Whatever it is, it WORKS.

I liked the first book just a little more than I liked this one, mostly because it took me a long while to warm up to Seb. Seb's kind of a shit, truth be told. He's so anti-shifter, he really hurts Tim. And, damn, but did I want Tim to walk away and make Seb beg.

Tim, though, is the nicest guy ever. He's a doctor, a healer. He can't stand to see anyone, much less Seb, suffer.

When Seb senses shifters outside his flat, things get complicated. Seb doesn't think he needs protection, but Tim (not to mention Nathan and Jared) disagrees. Seb decides he'd rather "pretend" to be with Tim than live with Nathan and Jared, but the whole pretending thing doesn't work out so well.

Does it ever when two horny guys are involved?

Seb insists it's all fun and games, but Tim's wolf thinks of Seb as his mate. Too bad Seb freaks out at any mention of commitment; he just can't imagine being that dependent on anyone.

The mystery/suspense plot in Bitten by Design isn't as compelling as the one in Bitten by Mistake. Nasty Alpha Newell is back, angry that Nathan got away and still plotting to challenge Cam. Considering the sense of danger, the climax was a bit of a letdown.

Of course, the MCs have no such qualms about their own, um, climax. There's plenty of sexy action to be had here! Shifters are a possessive bunch. I love the whole MINE MINE MINE & I Want to Bite You thing.

Seb and Tim do get their HEA, but Newell isn't done wrecking havoc. We see much more of Alec (Cam's beta who doesn't get on with Nathan) here. I'm VERY interested in the pairing for book 3 (hint: it won't be human/shifter).

Bitten by Design won't work well as a standalone. The world-building, urban shifter lore, and pack members were introduced in book 1, so don't skip Jared and Nathan's story.

While I loved this second story in the series, there was *something* intangible that felt not necessarily missing, just more muted, I suppose, so book 1 is still my favorite.

I suspect that part of what I was hoping for in this story was the same level of snark and banter as in the initial book. But Tim was basically a nice, caring person, whereas Nathan could be a bit of an arrogant prick, sometimes, so Seb's snark didn't really have a really hard surface to bounce off of on-page.

It also felt as if the feels, at least the reciprocal ones, came a bit later in this book than the first. It didn't leave me wanting them sooner, per se, as I did feel that events happened in a pretty realistic sequence and pace here.

The sexy bits were still just as steamy, just as I expected, if you're interested in that sort of thing.

I loved how the epilogue played out, with the wheels beginning to spin to have the bad guys, the ones really doing the plotting behind the scenes, brought to justice with the pack council.

And I'm *freaking dying* to read Mark's story. Or Luke's. Or Mark *and* Luke's story.

Yes, please, Mistress Annabelle, may I have another?!?!?

I'd rate this one at around 4.25 stars and will definitely be continuing to read this series as it's released. : )

It wasn’t as good as book 1 but still I enjoyed it a lot. My first issue was with Seb! He was a bit harsh (sometimes) and annoying (most of the time). I didn’t like the way he treated Tim. We knew he didn’t want to be a shifter and mostly didn’t want the bond but he could consider Tim’s feelings when he was expressing his opinions. Tim was easy going, happy and a really nice guy. I saw Seb as a jerk but those exact jerks are the characters who made a story interesting! My other complaint was when they compared themselves (mostly Seb) to Nathan and Jared. I didn’t like because they were two different couple and Nathan and Jared’s situation was different. Told in dual POV, 3rd person, it’s the second installment in the "Regent's Park Pack" and it’s better if you read it in order. It’s slow paced, a bit emotional and low on angst and an easy read! Overall, it was an enjoyable read and hope you like it as well!

Another shifter win for me!

Although this was Sebastian and Tim's story, I was happy that we still got to see quite a bit of Jared and Nathan in this too.

This was almost as good as the first. I just enjoyed Nathan and Jared's story just a smidge more. But I think it's because they had a lot of snark and smartassery going on. [;

I struggled with Seb for awhile. I liked him but I was frustrated with his indecisiveness on how he felt about Tim and the bite/bond. I understood his apprehension on being a shifter and having everything change and the possibility of his feelings being fabricated by some shifter magic. But Seb gave poor Tim so many mixed signals that I felt awful for the guy which therefore made me annoyed at Seb.

I liked Tim right off. The guy wore his feelings all over his face and to the shifters, all in his scent. It was hard seeing how deeply he felt for Sebastian and to see Seb just kind of brush if off there for a while. It was also sad to see everyone give him pity eyes because they knew his feelings for Seb and knew Seb didn't want what Tim wanted.

Sebastian is a grower. Which means he eventually grew on me. I started liking him even more when he accepted what he was feeling for Tim and gave in.

Tim is a quiet guy you could say. He's use to getting up in the morning, doing his job, and then going home. But now with Sebastian in his life and the danger that surrounds him, Tim feels his wolf side coming out more. He's feeling possessive and territorial. His protective side brings out his growly side and it's a bit of a shock for those who've only seen him as patient and caring. I liked that side of him.

I was glad to finally get some answers where Alec and Nathan are concerned. It was also nice to get to finally really "meet" Alec and get a glimpse of his softer side with his friendship with Tim. I can't be the only one who saw some sparks fly between Alec and Mark from the P-Pack. I want that story. I also want Luke's story. So I hope either of them are up next and that whoevers book is next is coming soon. I need more of this series!

All shifter fans will no doubt love this new series.

Happy reading dolls! xx

reviews-four-stars-out-of-five.jpg (979×167):

I really enjoyed book 1 in this series, so I was very excited about this one. Even though this book is focussed on a different couple,  I would still suggest reading book 1 first. Things can get quite confusing if you don't, since part of the storyline from the previous book, continues in this book.

This time we get Seb and Tim's story.

Seb is Jared's (book 1) best friend. If you've read book 1 than you know that Jared, even though mated with a shifter doesn't have the highest opinion about shifters in general. Seb however never had any problems with shifters. He likes them well enough and he even had a couple of hook-ups with some.

Cute-Short-Hairstyles-For-Men.jpg (500×500):

What he doesn't want is to start a relationship with any of them though. He has seen what a bite of a shifter can do...it certainly changed his best friend. He wants to be with someone who loves him because of him and vice versa, not because of some kind of magical bond that forms after a bite. Seeing his friend going from hating shifters to loving one, all in the blink of an eye, because of one bite, doesn't appeal to Seb at all. So even though he is extremely attracted to Tim, de pack doctor, he is keeping his distance....

whoamI.gif (500×260)

Tim is the pack doctor. He is considered the calm and collected one of the pack. Now that doesn't mean he won't wolf out when nessecary. It just means that Tim has a very stong hold on his wolf and an awesome sense of control. And resisting Seb is taking every ounce of that control.

boy-cap-cute-green-eyes-Favim.com-1094579.jpg (495×750):

Ever since seeing Jared and Nathan being so happy together, Tim has wanted that special someone to form a magical bond with, for himself. He would love to be with Seb, but Seb has made it perfectly clear that he isn't interested in any kind of bonding. So he tries to  control himself and keep his distance.

But what will happen when treats from the past resurface and these two men are forced to spend a lot of time together. Will they be able to control their attraction....

tumblr_nu7hkrCoPu1tq4of6o1_500.gif (500×206)

Just like the previous book, I really enjoyed this one. These books are different than any other shifter books I have read. For one, the shifters don't fully shift unless it's a full moon, they only half shift...claws and teeth. So just like in the previous book, don't go expecting a lot of wolves running around. Also..the biting of a human has to be requested. It is illegal, to just go around biting humans. A bite also doesn't quarantee that the human will change into a shifter....

Afbeeldingsresultaat voor no biting + gif

So, to fully understand this book, I strongly suggest to read book 1 first.

The steam in this one was pretty hot....These shifters sure know what they like...and they don't mind getting down and dirty ...

6253-Alice-In-Wonderland-Quotes-Tumblr.gif (500×281)

I can't wait to see what's next. I really liked Alec, so I am can only hope that he and Mark will be getting their story.

“I don’t want to become a shifter, and I don’t want to end up in a mate bond with… anyone. Nothing good can come from falling for you.”

I’ve been looking forward to Seb and Tim’s book since the first book and it’s sad that it didn’t live up to my expectations.

Seb Calloway has never had problems with shifters until his best friend bonded with one. Now he refuses to get involved with them, thinking they are all the same, controlled by their instincts and he can’t take the risk of having a bond forced upon him. I really liked Seb in the first book, but in this book he was a selfish and judgmental ass. There is nothing that I hate more than judgmental people and I hated the way Seb acted in this book and especially his treatment of Tim. How he knew Tim was interesting in him, but he still hurt him at every corner, making his prejudice color the way he saw him even though Tim never did anything to deserve it.

Tim Walters is the pack doctor, he’s calm and rational, always in control of himself, He’s been longing for a mate of his own, one he could have a deep and loving bond with. And he’s been interested in Seb since the first moment he met him, even when knowing that Seb didn’t feel the same way nothing has helped lessening his feelings for him. I loved Tim and what a good guy he was. How fiercely protective he was over Seb and how totally in love he was with him. I honestly wanted him to find someone better, someone who wouldn’t have hurt him so many times.

Of course because of Seb and his actions the romance fell totally flat for me. The only emotion I could see was from Tim’s side while Seb was all about himself and occasionally lusting after Tim. I hate stupid characters who endanger themselves and others because they cling so tightly to their independence, and I wanted to smack Seb for only thinking of himself and not of the danger that surrounded him and the others. Also the whole plot of pretending to be fake boyfriends so that the bad buys would stay away has gotten old. While it worked in the first book, it sadly didn’t work for me in this book. Also Seb’s complete turnaround of his feelings towards Tim and bonding near the end felt too rushed and sudden to me. After everything he had put Tim through, I expected and wanted a lot more grovelling.

This book was the perfect example of how one character can ruin a book. I hate going from such a great book like the first one, to such a complete disappointment like this one. However while this book sadly didn’t work for me, I still have high hopes for the next one. And I really hope Alec’s book is next.

I gave it the old college try, but I am DNF'ing (for the second time). Made it to 40%. I'm bored of the same old 'pretend boyfriend' plot and MC running hot and cold. Meh.

First things first, I didn't read the first one in this series and I should have. Don't be like me. Read the first one. There were quite a few references to the events and characters in Bitten by Mistake that at times had me scratching my head.

I muddled through and pieced things together because we hit the ground running in Bitten by Design. Seb is Jared's BFF and took over his flat after he moved in with his bonded mate, Nathan. Tension is brewing between the P-Pack and Regent's Park pack with some rogue shifters thrown in to spice things up. Seb's caught in the crossfire so to speak and takes a header down the stairs when there's a scratch at his door. He lands himself in the hospital with a broken leg, wonky wrist and a verra attentive doctor.

Tim is the pack doctor and has a crush on Seb, so when he turns up hurt presumably by the rival pack he gets all possessive and protective. I love it when they get all"mine-y".

YERP! What I heart about shifters is even when they're not the alpha they're still kinda alpha with the growling and whatnot! Plus the whole "mates" thing, though Seb and Tim aren't fated mates which is at the tippity-top of my list, but they get close enough for me. Jacobs packed a whole passel of things I like including scenting, biting, marking and... uh... getting messy.

Tim likes it messy as does Seb. *eyebrows* The little gasping, half/broken sentence, begging had me squirming with delight and then Tim went and preened after marking his territory and... #DECEASED! I couldn't have asked for anything more but just to seal the deal Jacobs threw in the fake boyfriend trope! The pack decides since Seb wants to go home that it'd be best if Tim pretends to be his boyfriend because shifters all have a keen sense of smell. So... Tim and Seb have to really "sell" this boyfriends gig.

The only fly in the ointment is Seb keeps telling himself and saying out loud (which kinda made me want to staple his mouth shut) that he's not interested in being in a bonded mate relaysh. He's plenty attracted to Tim but he keeps hurting his feels when he says their relationship is temporary or faux or whatever which he seems oblivious to, but then proceeds to up the ante in their sexual relationship. The mixed signals thing got a little old and I wish he would've talked to Tim sooner, but that's really my only gripe.

When things ramped up with P-Pack is when I really invested in this series. There is still much animosity between the packs and I would like to formally request an enemies to lovers story featuring Alec and Mark, pretty please with glitter on top.

While I'm praying to the shifter gods to rain shifter hate sex confetti on me I'll continue to float around on the bonded mate fluff infused cotton candy cloud that is Tim and Seb and their HEA. Because it was adorbz, had some feels and hot all at once. Quite the trifecta there.

My first Jacobs was a rousing success and I'm hopeful there will be another Regent's Park Pack story because I like the way she writes pack dynamics and this relationship evolved convincingly. So I'd recommend this to shifter fans or those who enjoy a smuffy, low angst romance.

Tasty shifter sequel!

So if you’re looking for lots, and lots, and lots of sexy times. This is your book! If your looking for a plot....this has it, too. If you want to supersize your reading experience and add depth of character, well sorry, but we ran out of that.

I loved Tim, the shifter doctor. Sebastian, Jared’s best friend was more of an acquired taste. But all in all, this second book in the series was a tasty treat. Let’s give it up for nerdy doctors who kill it in bed!

After all these months I'm finally done with this one!
I normally leave some books for months in my currently reading shelf because I really suck at keeping up with my reviews but this time it wasn't like that, it actually took me months to finish one.
First let me explain that the time that it took me read it it has nothing to do with book itself, I changed devices and accounts and I completely forgot that I was reading this until one day my kindle ran out of juice and I grabbed my old device and I found this and I honestly felt awful.
Now about Seb and Tim:

I enjoyed the story, I liked the it was different from the previous books, even though the whole biting theme was relevant in both books the stories are very different from one another.
I enjoyed not only getting to know these characters but seeing more about the previous couple and getting to know a bit more about Alec. ( I'm hoping for his book next)

I think this series has potential, there is a bit of mistery regarding the bad guys and their agenda but enough info is giving to keep you curious about whats gonna happen next.
Sdly the romance wasn't the strongest for me here, I like Tim but had huge mixed towards Seb, he was a bit wishy washy but I admit that I can't wait to see how his character is going to develop in future stories.

A little more subdued than the first book, I still liked this one as much as I liked the first book. Sure, Seb annoyed me until he got his head out of the gutter and got his shit together. Tim is such a sweetheart. I loved him in book one and even more in this book.

This series should be read in order.

I was counting the days until this baby hit my kindle and when it did, everything else was pushed to the backseat. My book world stopped when this one released. When it left me on the same high the first book did, I knew I was going to be in for a trial of patience until book three. I am absolutely hooked on this pack! I could hardly contain my excitement as I read and I’m dying for more. Jacobs seems to bring out this insatiable hunger in me, I just can’t get enough.

I fell for Tim pretty quickly but knew it was going to take a little more work for Seb to win me over. He puts up a good fight. Which is actually his intention. He doesn’t really like shifters to begin with. He doesn’t understand what happened to his bestie, Jared. But whatever freaky shifter magic turned his best friend into a bonded mate to a shifter scares him. He believes it is safer to keep them at a distance. But then he has an accident and needs looking after. Who better to do the job than the pack doctor! Why does he have to be so nice and sexy though? That’s a dangerous combination and when Tim is almost nothing like the shifter stereotype Seb despises, he wonders if perhaps he was quick and harsh to judge them. Maybe all shifters aren’t the same? Still…the one thing he knows for sure is he doesn’t want to be with one. Just because he likes Tim and Tim is different, that doesn’t mean anything. Right? Hmmmm, we shall see.

What's to like: The pack is back! We have plenty of Jared and Nathan, which made me a very happy reader, but we also get to know a few other pack members a bit closer. Some new faces are introduced and I enjoyed them all. Tim has a different beta than Nathan and though we saw him in the first book, his first impression isn’t the greatest. Alec is not perceived as warm or friendly, but that is through Nathan’s eyes. They have a history that I wish to unravel. I enjoyed seeing him with his defenses down around Tim. He’s hiding something and I want to know about it! Of course I loved Cam and was fascinated with how he runs his pack. Overall, it’s deeply developed but not overcomplicated.

What's to love: The connection is not instantaneous and rather lopsided, that is until eyes and hearts are opened. Sometimes it’s nice to have to hurdle obstacles to bring two hearts together. Tim wants Seb from the very beginning. He wants to take care of him but his instincts scream for him to tend to needs beyond the call of a doctor. He wants Seb. However, he respects Seb’s wishes, and repeated declaration that he does not wish to allow emotions to develop between the two of them. Whatever they need to do, they can do it as friends and Tim is adamant he can withstand the temptation of more. Then Seb becomes frustrated with his own rules and demands. He likes Tim. Tim likes him. Why can’t they play a little? It’s not all or nothing. Wait? Is it? No, if that’s the case, it must be nothing. He has plans for his future and it does not involve wolves. Then the rogue pack threatens his single weakness and it’s time for him to reevaluate his life choices. This time the bite is not an accident but the question is, who will deliver it?

Beware of: A stubborn and insensitive human lets his mouth overrun his arse. Even cute arses need to watch their tongue and manners. If Tim can forgive, then so can I. However, I imagine you will be a tid bit irked with our boy Seb as well.

This book is for: Paranormal lovers should definitely take note of this series if they haven’t yet. Start at the beginning though, it’s not a standalone.

Sebastian is so sure he doesn't want to have anything to do with shifters, even though his body (and if he was honest, his heart) tells him different. And so he pushes Tim away again and again, although it is obvious that Tim is a genuinely good guy in every possible way.

Yes, I wanted to clap Seb's fingers for being so obtuse about his feelings. For giving Tim such a hard time. But then - the UST is brilliantly written here, with the emotional tension equally good.
And Tim? All I can say - I would easily volunteer to be bitten by him....

And I loved seeing so much of Jared and Nathan!

Fab second in the series!

This was my first mm shifter book (read in January, just now getting entered. Oops). It was fine. Nothing amazing. Nothing bad. Just, eh. Not sure I'll continue on with the series or not. Maybe if I'm in a slump and need something to fill the time with.

And I'm done.

This was way worse than the first one and I didn't like that one very much.

I figured I'd give this series one more shot.

I shouldn't have. I don't even know how I finished this book honestly.

Seb is a piece of shit and never stopped being one. I hate him.

The only almost good part of the book was in the last 10% but by then it was just too late.

🎵Included for free with my Audible subscription🎵
🎵Narrated by Antony Ferguson🎵 He was the best part of the book. 💗

I’ve waited a week to review this because I hoped it would keep me from going on a crazy rant but I’ve just started writing this and already I can feel the rant coming on. This book was incredibly disappointing for me because the first book was perfection and the thing is, I knew deep down that I didn’t like the main character Seb after book one but character redemptions when done right can be magical. Unfortunately this is not that…And as much as I wanted to DNF it, because I did so bad, I’m interested in the rest of this series and there’s a loose storyline linking these books together so I felt like I couldn’t skip it. Sigh 😔

So in book one, Seb is Jared’s whiny best friend who is pissed that Jared is seeing a shifter despite hating them and puts Jared and Nathan’s lives at risk when he vents to the wrong people. He annoyed the hell out of me in book one because he was so damn judgmental and while I understood him feeling protective over his friend, I just wanted to slap him. However, Tim, the pack’s doctor and an actual doctor to humans was the sweetest non alpha, alpha to ever alpha and I adored him enough to want his story. I had hoped Seb would be redeemed in my eyes but I spent the entire audiobook annoyed to the point I had to take breaks just to get through it. This narrator has a knack for making me feel the emotions of the characters and since Seb was always whiny and annoyed, I also became that way. Dude gave me a headache 🤕

Tim meets Seb and him and his wolf are taken by him. Tim appears laid back and pretty unassuming for an alpha but Seb started to bring out all his protective instincts especially after he falls down the stairs and breaks some bones. The issues from the last book are problems in this one too and with Seb injured, the pack isn’t okay with him being alone and unable to protect himself since Jared considers him family. However, Seb is not pleased because he wants nothing to do with shifters after what happened between Nathan and Jared. The things he said to Tim and the way he made him feel throughout the entire book made me angry. Tim was such a sweetheart and just wanted to protect and love Seb but Seb was adamant that even though he liked Tim and could see himself falling in love with him that he didn’t want to be part of the pack in any way. Really? But then something happens and Seb’s solution is a complete dick move and it was so selfish not to mention hurtful to Tim! It made me hate Seb even more and this happened with only two chapters left so needless to say Seb was never redeemed in my eyes. I absolutely detested him and thought Tim deserved better.

So the two stars I’m rating this are for how great this narrator is and for Tim. Tim is also friends with Alec who is going to be the love interest in the next book and I loved learning about his back story. The fact he’s a closed off grumpy asshole most of the time made perfect sense and now I’m really looking forward to listening to the next book. Still hate Seb though so fingers crossed 🤞🏻 there aren’t a lot of his cameos in the next one.

OHHH I almost forgot!! 😂😂😂 Seb has a crutch 🩼 for most of this book but because of the narrator’s accent I kept hearing the word “crotch”. For the longest time I couldn’t figure out why he was constantly grabbing his crotch when standing up to go anywhere until I realized he was actually saying crutch 🤣🤣🤣

It’s been ages since I’ve encountered a character I dislike as much as Seb. Like, why are you so selfish and uncaring of Tim’s emotions? Sweet, kind, Tim of all people! Ugh. I wanted to reach through the pages and punch this asshole in the face.

And don’t even get me started on that last minute “I love you”. I wasn’t buying it. Seb didn’t want Tim for the right reasons and spent 90% of the book making it clear he hated shifters. Meanwhile, he strung Tim along, knowing full well how he felt. Then at the last minute he’s all, “oh, actually…” No. Just — no.

ugh.

Additional notes:
- There wasn’t that much addition by way of lore so feel free to skip this if you’d like, just make sure to read the epilogue as it sets up book 3’s main couple
- This book featured yet another iteration of the “fake boyfriends” trope. I don’t mind repeats but if you do then skip, skip, skip
- There’s not as much spice as book 1 and it’s not as hottttt but it was good enough
- The pack dynamics and shifter politics were intriguing as always

Given that I waffled about whether to read this (I’m not the only one who disliked Seb) and I’m already 20% into book 3, I’m going to pretend that Bitten by Design doesn’t exist and carry on with the rest of the series.

Brilliant follow up to this shifter series

I don't know what it is about Annabelle Jacobs' shifters but they just totally work for me. I think it's the fact that while they have bonded mates, they're not the insta love type I've read in other books which sometimes just feel a bit like a plot point.

Here, with the Regent's Park series, the bonding comes when a pair are already sexually involved and it's instant, whether they want it or not but it also doesn't automatically come with the person being bitten turning into a full shifter.

I also like the fact these books are set in London, although there's not really a lot of extraneous detail given to enforced that plot point, but the mention of Tesco Express always makes me laugh (although I'm a Sainsbury's girl myself).

The sex in these, driven as it is by hot wolf hormones, is always superbly done, there's nothing better than reading about two men who can't keep their hands off each other. Throw in emotional connections which allow them to sense their mate's thoughts and feelings and it just becomes all ends up awesome.

Really hoping book three will see Alpha Newall get his just deserts as painfully as possible and perhaps there's a wee spark between Alec and the rival pack's young gun Mark which we'll be reading about soon.

Love this series.
I miss a bit the enemies to lovers part from the first tough. Tim and Seb were too cute and good boys the two of them ♥ so really the deterrent to be together was a bit more trivial .
I really like too the secondary characters ~ once you get to know them they are all lovely!

I really hope the continue of the series!! ~

2.5 rating. This is the 2nd book in the series. I wanted to like this one more. I loved Seth and it was great to see the pack members from book #1 again. What stopped me from liking this book more was Seb. His anti-shifter attitude came off as whiny and petulant to me. He also held onto his negative beliefs faaaaaar too long in this book which needlessly hurt Tim and just annoyed me as a reader. I still like this author and am looking forward to reading the next book in this series, but thanks to Seb, I just couldn't enjoy this book as much as I wanted to.

It was nice and entertaining enough with some hot sex scenes and action and Seb and Tim were super cute together but it just didn't grip me emotionally.
But I think that may be my pesky book slump's fault, I'm having a hard time getting emotionally invested in any book lately, it sucks. Send help! :D

This is such an amazing series. Bitten by Mistake was a great read but Bitten By Design was even more so. See made a huge impression on me in book one with how protective he was of his best friend Jared but this book really made me love Seb even more.

Tim captured my heart from the beginning of this read with how patient he is and how caring. He has this charisma about him that makes him so much more of an amazing man. He is not arrogant or overwhelming with his presence even though he is a shifter and knows that he can handle himself. And the way he is with Seb is such a beautiful thing.

Tim knows how Seb feels about being bitten or mated to a shifter and even though Tim is in love with Seb he never tried to pressure Seb into more then Seb is will My to offer. He is patient with him and his feelings and he is willing to break his own heart in the end if Seb chooses to never be with him that way. Tim is willing to take what little Seb will allow himself to give and the. Let him go in the end if that is what Seb so chooses. Tim is selfless and that makes him an even more wonderful man in the end.

Even though Seb knows that he may never want atom the way Tim wants Seb, Seb cannot seem to walk away from him. Seb knows he is selfish in taking what Tim offers him and not being willing to give Tim what he wants in return. But regardless of all of that Seb cannot help falling harder and harder for Tim in the end.

The question both men face is what will they do when their time comes to an end? Will Seb walk away and never change his mind and heart about what he is willing to give? Can Tim keep carrying on even knowing he may never mate with Seb? What will happen wito both men with all the danger lurking around the corner from them?

These questions and so many more are answered in this book. You have to read it to get the answers and if you are anything like I am, you will be overjoyed with reading this book. This series started off strong and I have a feeling it will only get better and better as each book in the series comes out. I, for one, cannot wait to read them!!

I’m really liking the world building around the shifter lifestyle in this series. Its refreshing and very more-ish. I like Tim and although Seb is frustrating and a bit of shit I do enjoy him as a not-perfect character. The plot isn’t super amazing, but it’s been jolly entertaining and I’ve had a good ole time with it. Very much looking forward to the pairing in the next book and what happens between the two packs.

Not standalone’s, there is a central plot.

I took one star away because I remembered this wasn't as good as the first one and it obviously isn't as good as the last book.

My biggest issue was that I didn't feel chemistry between Tim and Seb and after reading book 3, the plot of Bitten by Design wasn't as fast-paced and exciting.

Still you have to read to fully enjoy book 3 that is amazing 😍

This book was really good! I'm loving this series. The only issue I had was (unless I missed it) I could never figure out exactly WHY Seb didn't want a mated bond with a shifter. What was his exact problem with them? But, finally, he capitulated to his feelings for Tim.

I sure hope the next book is Alec and Mark. I saw what Ms. Jacobs did there at the end - and I'll bet it'll be really good!!

This review is kinda sorta spoilery.

I really enjoy Annabelle Jacob's writing and I love this series and the characters in it.
But...I'm disappointed that the whole fake boyfriend thing was used again. It really pains me to say this but it was a great storyline in the first book but to use it again feels...meh and it left me with a dissatisfied feeling.

Don't get me wrong; I enjoyed the book and Seb and Tim are hot as fuck together, I just wish they had got there a different way.
