He worked as a locksmith, fireman, mechanic. A chemical engineer by education. He began to publish in 1935. He wrote for children. Author Sat. fairy tales and stories "Mom's Word" (1948), book. poems "Red Tie" (1938). Together with the composer E. Khabibullin he released the "Album of Songs for Children". He owns Sat. interludes, dramatizations, sketches and plays "We are staging a play" (1963), rom. "Youth of Lobachevsky" (1965), as well as the book. "Burn, burn, my star".
After graduating from school in Kazan, he entered the mechanical faculty of the Kazan Chemical-Technological Institute named after V.I. CM. Kirov, during the war he combined his studies with work at the factory, mastered the profession of a machine operator, equipment technician and designer, without ceasing to write stories and poems.
In 1944, having defended his diploma, he remained in graduate school, while working at the plant as a process engineer. After the war he returned to literary work - in 1946 his collection of stories and poems "Mom's Word" was published for preschool children.
In 1950 he defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of technical sciences. Later he taught at the Kazan Institute of Chemical Technology, while simultaneously doing literary work.
Some of the most significant works of D.A. Tarjemanov are the novels "Youth of Lobachevsky", "Silver Horseshoe", "Geometry of the Gods".
He was member of the Union of Writers of the USSR since 1947.
