Once upon a time, Sasha Petrov had been a mafia princess. Safe and protected in the high-tower of her father’s mansion. She had known her place, and she’d been happy for it. That had been before her family decided to marry her off to their enemy.
Sasha Petrov knew it was her duty to marry, but she never expected her father to give her away to their enemy, the Blanchi family. She’d accepted that it was her fate to end the bloodshed that took her brother’s life, but at eighteen she’d rather be heading off to college than heading down the aisle.
Dominic “Dom” Blanchi saw an opportunity to save his brother’s life. He’d already lost so much, and he couldn’t imagine burying another beloved member of his family. He was certain that his marriage to Sasha Petrov would save his last remaining brother from the grave. Getting a pliant young wife in the deal wouldn’t be the worst thing, at least, that’s what he told himself. But when his family’s warehouses get hit and Blanchi men continue dying, Dominic wonders if his new wife is to blame.
Now, both must make a choice between love and family loyalty.
And Sasha will have to decide if she’d rather be a Mafia Princess or a queen.
Kennedy Slope has always had a wandering mind. She's written a million romances in her head, but "The Duke's Contract," is the first one she's decided to share with the world. In her past lives, she has been a teacher, a waitress, and for a brief moment, she sold copiers. Currently, she resides in Virginia with her husband where she enjoys drinking too much coffee and binge-watching HGTV.
This was my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it. The plot was decent, lots of action, suspense and so many twists and turns that really kept me invested in the story. Sasha was my type of heroine, vulnerable but not afraid to stand up for herself when it mattered. Dom was not as alpha as I was hoping but I did like him. The steam between them was good but nothing spectacular. My only slight frustration was the way the story jumped whenever something major happened, sometimes the story would jump a few hours, sometimes weeks and it left me feeling like I was missing some of the story. There were also some punctuation and spelling errors that a quick edit could solve and I don't normally comment on this but some of the errors were very basic and stood out a mile. Despite this I would definitely read more from this author.
Sasha had been kept sheltered, she knew her families criminal ways and her duty to marry but she never though she would be used as a pawn by marrying the enemy. Dom knew this marriage was the last straw to stopping the war between their two families and saving his last brothers life, having lost so many loved ones already. But when his men are still being killed, it forces Dom to rethink who he has married. can they work together to stop the blood shed before its to late? well written suspense filled, action packed and desire fuelled. the story line keeps your attention and the characters develop well through out.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is a story about an arranged marriage between mafia families. Sasha and Dom have an enemies to lovers story. She is a very young princess with dreams other than his wife. He is a powerful man who will do what it takes for his family. These two have a lot of anger, conflict, doubts, stubbornness and lust between them. I did not like Dom very much at times. He just did not seem to be the fit for her in a romance. But she showed her strength and courage. She also showed him what it meant to be his wife. I had mixed feelings with their story. 3.5

A good premise that sounded interesting. I thought there were moments that had a good impact but his actions were cringeworthy and I couldn’t find anything redeemable about him. I found it hard to like her because I thought she wasn’t strong enough to fit into her family given their lifestyle. I requested a copy of this book and am voluntarily writing a review.
This book was so freaking good, I loved it. Sasha remained trye to herself and I lked that, she saw her family for what they truly were and decided to stay with her husband. Dom was so alpha male, I loved him
This was a good Mafia book. I was shocked by some of the secrets we learned. I feel bad for her father because he was the one who truly cared about her in the end. Ended well.
The proofreading in this book is awful. There are so many mistakes it’s unbelievable. Proofreading is very important or use a program that auto corrects. It is extremely annoying to the reader.
This book was well written. I felt lime I was living the moment! Story line was well thought out and had slot of twists to the story! I couldn't put it down!!!
