I found the book well written, as expected from this author. The examples and tips he offers are sensible and the honest, direct, no nonsense advice we would expect from Derryn. He lost a star because of the inclusion of the "gym dialogue". I could not understand why someone of his intelligence would preface this scene by saying they know they would regret including it and then do it anyway. If in doubt - leave it out, is probably another tip he should have given. Otherwise a good read.
There are certainly some good tips in this book about facing life ‘as it is’. He is frank and honest, maybe melodramatic but has his life finally under control.
