Nobody expected the rebellion to lead to where it did – or for the status quo to change so drastically. But, it did, and the survivors are left to pick up the pieces. Now, where old friends were lost, new alliances form in hopes of surviving the resurgent Night that wiped out humanity centuries before.
With insatiable hunters stalking the streets and death waiting in every shadow, the people’s best chance may lie with two surprising, and untested, leaders – if they can live long enough to see the sun.
Carter writes books, drinks coffee, and obsesses over shoes; just don’t ask him to do that all at the same time – he’s terrible at multi-tasking. And punctuation.
Hailing from the Canadian Maritimes, he’s been from far north to far south in North America, and even to the other side of the world, but is now living in Vancouver BC with his smart, beautiful, and wonderful wife (yes, she could be reading this).
Writing somewhere between science-fiction and fantasy, he loves a good story, including his latest series Against the Night.
A pity the Fenrin had to die in the end, but it was for a good cause and happier ending. The character X finally came into himself and became a stronger person too. I enjoyed the last book in particular as it brought many things together. I believe there should be a fourth book. I say this because there is another episode unfolding as Gem and X leave Haven, and another adventure begins. A good story within this trilogy although I stand by my review of book one!!
Just finishing this series was a thrill ride. The book Starts very slow and doesn't really pick up to a good while in at least I think so. It's the longest of the trilogy to date but improves as the book goes on. Book one and two I enjoyed more but still a good read
