The Whitsborough Chronicles - Books 1-4

Ember Craven is raised by a single mother on the rough streets of The Bronx in New York, runs with gangs and uses her fists to pay the bills. Through tragedy, she’s forced to move to Ontario, Canada with her mother’s sister and husband.
These books will lead you through the small town of Whitsborough, filled with wealthy and prestigious individuals, ones whose exteriors shine with a clean brilliance, but their insides are rotten to the core.
In a world where money talks and immorality is masked by power, a young woman finds herself caught in a world where her resilience is often tested. Once Ember is pushed too far, she succumbs to her inner villain, and no one is safe from her blade, no matter how much money they have.
Take this journey of pain, darkness, finding the light, then ultimately, the road to redemption, and witness just how dark a person can get to protect the people she loves.

Whitsborough Chronicles is one of my favorite series and this is where I started to fall in love with the author's writing. Books 1-4 and trust me, my friends of dark romance, you will not be disappointed.

We are introduced into a dark, gritty world, I have learned to love. Ember has not had an easy life. She is a true badass and warrior. Ember is what I look for in a heroine.

As the series unfolds you have waves of darkness with so many secrets, twists, and turns; that you don't see coming. And on top of it, it’s steamy. The author can write some spicy scenes.

There are complex and flawed characters with a ton of angst. I was captivated from the beginning and fell down the dark hole known as Whitsborough. I will add it’s also emotional. I was outraged a time or two. Okay, several were I was so upset over some evil men. Love when vengeance is served bittersweet.

If you haven’t read this series, I highly recommend it. C.A.Renee is a one-click author for me.

A M A Z I N G !!!!!!

This series was great. It had me in the edge of my seat the entire time!!!! It was action packed, funny, hott, twisted and overall amazing. It’s a MUST READ series!

I reviewed each book individually - but here is a quick overview intro each book…

**Book 1. - This book was C R A Z Y - In the best possible way. I laughed my butt off with the antics of Ember and Adrianna. The new names Ember constantly came up for Marlana was hilarious. Ember is also one of those characters that can do anything but it wasn’t annoying or over rated or anything. I genuinely wanted to see what else this character could do! The heat between her and Vin was off the charts hott. I cannot wait to see how this series continues. I need more like the air I breath!

*Overall 5/5
*Heat? 4/5
*First person POV - 99% Ember
*Med Burn
*MF Romance

**Book 2 - I don't even feel like book 1 and book 2 are in the same universe, so much craziness has happened! This book had it all, it made me laugh, it made me gasp out loud, like WTF gasp and it made me sad! ALSOOOOO, it was hot AF! 🥵🥵 I need to get me some Vin like yesterday. It takes off literally right where Book 1 ended. Ember is even more of a force to be reckoned with now. She's broken and only Vin seems to be able to pull her out of the dark.....well Vin and bloodshed, lots of bloodshed!

I cant even summarize this without giving anything away because I am blown away! It was so good and just everything you didn't know you wanted. ♥️♥️

I'm noticing this author has a pattern that I didn't think I would enjoy but totally am! She gives you a great story, then in the next book - tweaks the crap out of said story and puts it on steroids. So now, even though they are the same storyline, it doesn't feel like it! lol. Its pretty amazing and I am HERE. FOR. IT..

I cant wait to see what happens next with Ember, Vin, Travis, Adri and even Emmett and the other one. 😂SO GOOOD!

*Overall 5/5
*Heat 5/5
*First person POV (more even now of Ember and Vin)
*Fast-wBurn

**Book 3 - This is Emmett, Travis and Adrianna’s story and it will not disappoint. CA Rene, you had me for a moment and I was utterly disappointed, but then you basically said “PSYCHE” and all was forgiven. lol.

This book follows book 2 even though the main characters are different. Nothing is really what it seems in this town of Whitsborough and Travis is one of many who suffer from it. It gets in depth of the trauma that Travis and Emmett went through growing up and shows more of how corrupt this town is. We finally start to get more answers we have been craving and secrets are finally coming out.

This book showcased a lot, it also emphasized mental health in a way a lot of people suffer in silence. I applause this book and loved how it was written.

Their is mostly MM in this book, but it was tasteful and not too bad. I’m not a fan of that myself, but I truly enjoyed Travis and Emmetts story. When they finally got Adrianna on board, it was that
Much better.

*Overall 5/5
*Heat? 3/5
*MM MF MFM Romance
*Slow Burn
*Dark? 2/5

**Book 4 - Emberlise Craven. The girl who changed the town of Whitsborough. The girl who walked into that school and changed not only her life but the life of so many others.

This book finishes off the first generation and it was a W I L D ride! It ties up all loose ends and gives us all the answers we wanted. It even ended in a 10 yrs later epilogue that we all wanted and craved.
I truly enjoyed this series so much! This was a great ending and I can’t wait to read about the next generation!

Ember is still the blood lusting woman we love and ready to write some more wrongs. She has her family standing tall and strong behind her which makes her an even bigger force to be reckoned with.

Their is so much to say about this series. Just do yourself a favor and read it now if you’re having any doubts! It was amazing.

*Overall 5/5
*Series Overall 5/5
*Heat? 4/5
*Romances? 5/5
*First person POV
*Ties up ALLL loose ends
*2 different relationships. MF and MMF.
*HEA!? YES, finally!!!!

********
Overall, this series was amazing! I am forever apart of Whitsborough now and hope this world of CA Rene’s just gets bigger and better! Black Slaughter is by far my new favorite character! 🖤🖤🖤

I absolutely loved this series! Ember is the definition of a strong female character (and slightly unhinged at times if we’re honest 🤷🏻‍♀️). I loved Vin from the start and the way he always circulated around/to Ember from the start made me swoon hard. Their chemistry was instant & they fell hard and quick, and I was here for it.

The relationships with all of the main characters were written so well. I loved the siblings and the way Travis and Ember were with each other holds a special place in my heart. I highlighted like everything they say to each other 😍 Also dear old Uncle Scott. Need I say more?

“This is our family, nothing between us, no lines drawn. We love each other hard and we’d kill to protect our sanctity.”

There is so much that goes on in this book. There is a new twist and turn everywhere you look; this series is the definition of a page turner. The banter throughout was absolutely hilarious. I laughed out loud countless times! Cannot wait to have these on my bookshelf to read again and again!

Book 1
This book instantly brought me into it and kept me hanging on. There was off the chart chemistry and a lot of humor. It made a late night but I read it all in one sitting!

Book 2.
I love it when a second book picks up right where the first one left off so there is no way to miss out on anything that could have happened. This book was also full of hot chemistry and Showed a broken Ember and Vin trying to fix her.

Book 3.
This book will also not disappoint you, it's a must read. There was a lot of trauma suffered by the characters and the author is starting to reveal with answers to secrets in the other two books. I loved it!

Book 4.
There was so much of the same from the previous 3 books that I just had to finish them on as soon as I could. That made for a lot of reading time and I loved every minute of it. I really look forward to seeing where the author will go after this series has ended. I would love it if they could bring on the next generation.

Twisted redemption

A thrilling series that progressively gets darker, grittier, and more violent as the story evolves, and secrets are revealed. New characters add to the complexity — a strong heroine, her devoted partner, and others (relatives particularly) integral to the intrigue. A medium burn of a deliberate pace and oh so spicy, the twists, the angst, and characters’ yielding to their true selves (good or bad) were emotional pull of this story.

Whitsborough: The Chronicles by C.A. Rene is a dark revenge romance series.

I absolutely love C.A. Rene’s books! She pulled me in from the first chapter and I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. There are so many twists and turns that kept me captivated until the very end.

I would highly recommend this series if you like dark romances, contemporary romances, or romantic suspense.

THROUGH THE PAIN
This book was a quick read to introduce us to Ember and her new misfit crew. Ember is a different breed of monster and she dominates with a take no prisoners attitude. She's witty and unapologetic for person she is. She's not so much broken as she is fractured and seeing her mend those fractures is going to be a wild ride. This is a series that I think is great for those who like to read something fast paced and easy to absorb. It is on the darker side but I'd say on a scale from 1-5, 5 being the darkest, this would be a 2 on the scale. In my opinion, however it's said that the books get darker so proceed with caution.

INTO DARKNESS
🌑🌑🌑🌑🌑 (FIVE DARK A** MOONS)

Into darkness? More like fade to flipping black. I was warned, I knew it was coming, sort of. I expected dark, I mean it's in the title. I just...who knew the pages of one book could contain so much heartache? Let me get a moment of silence.

Ember has been through it. And back again. And this time Vin was there with her, her whole crew has seen some stuff. Even Sharla. This book was written gorgeously but, damn. Can I get a team lift? This is HEAVY.

Dark scale broke.

I'm not ready for book 3 am I? Of course not. But I'm on my way anyhow! Here I go, tra la la Finding the Light!!

FINDING THE LIGHT
Slap on a yellow track suit and follow me!

You know, I don't like to pick favorites. Ever. Ok I lied it's been Travis all along.
I have been waiting for his story because I just knew it was going to be so so good. Now mind you, here we are at book 3 so I was prepared for trauma this time, it was very present in book 2. I steeled myself for it this time around. Mostly. Things got REALLY rough at chapter 30. I will admit I closed the book, screamed, and refused to finish it. Then I took a breath and wiped away my tears and forced myself to keep on trekking. I would have been SO angry if I hadn't.

The dynamic on this one was very different, as stated in many previous reviews this book was a MFM romance (WHY CHOOSE, AM I RIGHT!?). From book 1 I knew Travis had so much more going on than he eluded to on the surface. My curiosity was immediate. There was obvious depth to what was going on with him and Adri, then you toss Emmett into the mix and holy cow!
I adore Emmett. He had me busting up throughout the whole book. Him and Ember really sucked you in and made you feel like part of the family. He is an easy contender for my favorite but I'll stick by Travis. Travis is baby. Good thing we don't really have to choose, huh? They just work so well together!

It was easy to relate to Travis on several levels for me. He went through some things that unfortunately a lot of us have also been through. It's all too common and really hard for some to cope with. While some people may criticize authors for touching on subjects like this, I for one appreciate seeing it addressed. It's a necessary evil on the road to acceptance. Once we can see that we aren't alone in it and we can see that there's nothing wrong with us for having been through it, for having the feelings we have, we can move on. Hopefully. Too often do we feel we need to suppress certain things about ourselves for the comfort of others. In the process of doing what we think may be protecting others, we lose ourselves. We die slowly and we don't always find something or someone to revive us. We plummet into darkness and it's a suffocating place.

But with a family like theirs, and a love like the one they all share, they found a way to breathe freely again. They clawed through that darkness. They overcame.

They found the light.

I'd like to think we all can. I'd like to think we all have that chance. Or maybe we'll just sport some super bright tracksuits, sign up for space camp, and call it even?

TO REDEMPTION
No, I have not been sitting on this book for weeks like a coward. Okay, I lied. Again. Travis hit me hard, I needed a minute to recoup.

Like, I'll never be the same after this series. No one will. But like the book says, "I need my pain to be worth the journey." We have been through it. Death, life, resurrection... No matter what we did we never knew what was coming. And I loved every moment of it.

Watching this crew expand and blossom has been utterly epic. We've seen them take and deal damage like a mystical force. We've seen them lose, win, and dominate. We've seen them grow. This journey has been everything. It's been thorough and consuming, it's hit us with everything we never knew we wanted. This is a serious that will reign for eons. I can't wait to see what the next generation has in store.

Through the Pain -

Through the Pain is the first book in the Whitsborough series. This book is told from Ember's point of view. Ember grew up in the Bronx with her mother. They have had a rough life, and Ember started fighting to help support her mom. This book starts out with there being a fire and her mother passing away. When she's in the hospital her mother's sister comes and she realizes she has more family. Her aunt and uncle take her in, and they are not hurting for money like her mother was.

As Ember is living with her aunt and uncle, she realizes her mom was hiding things. She meets a few friends. Two of her friends Adri and Travis are in love, but something happened between them. It makes hanging out a little rough for all of them. Ember starts to have feelings for Vin, and him her, but we find out Vin and Travis share a father, and they don't get along at all.

Ember is a fighter and will fight her way through anything that comes for her. As some secrets come out, Emer realizes not everything is as it seems. Can she fight her way out of something major that happens to her? At the end of this book, a big secret is dropped. However, we are lucky that with this box set book two starts right off after!

Into The Darkness -

Into The Darkness is book two in the Whitsborough Chronicles and starts off right where book one ends off. This book is told from dual points of view by Ember and Vin. Something happens at the end of book one, and Ember is having a hard time coming to terms with what happened to her. We see past snippets of what happened.

Ember learns of some of the family members she didn't know she had. As her relationships with these family members and her relationship with Vin grow, she still wants revenge on those that have wronged her. Will she get revenge on those? What happens when Vin realizes what she does? Will Vin support her? How does Vin and Travis's relationship grow?

She is still fighting MMA fights and winning the fights to the death. Known in the MMA scene as Blur, and she is a strong contender. This book is dark and had so many twists and turns that I really wasn't expecting. However, I loved every minute of it! I'm excited to go on to the next part of the series!

Finding the Light -

Finding the Light is book three in the Whitsborough Chronicles series. Ember and Vin are off on a trip, so this book is told from dual points of view by Emmett and Travis. Travis was asked to stay behind and watch Ember's twin brother Emmett. Emmett is new to Whitsborough, and Ember didn't want him alone. We learn Travis is bisexual and is having trouble keeping his feelings for Emmett to himself.

Both Travis and Emmett have been through some rough times in the past. We get to see what happened to each of them, and how it has shaped who they are today.

Travis and Emmett both start to have feelings for Adri, but Travis is also smitten with Emmett. Emmett is also confused about his feelings for Travis. Will they decide to try a three-person relationship? How will Adri take this?

So much happens in this book, and I loved every minute of it. What happens when Adri finds out what type of fights Ember does? Will Travis get revenge on someone that hurt him growing up? What happens when Adri finds out a big secret from her past?

To Redemption -

To Redemption is the fourth book in the Whitsborough Chronicles series. This book is told from dual points of view by Ember and Vin.

Ember is still trying to finish getting revenge on all those that have wronged her and her new family (friends.) She learns the secrets of those that happened to Emmet and Travis. As well as learning about Adri's past.

Can she get all the redemption for those that she loves and holds near and dear? Will her relationship with Vin grow or will what she does in her life tear them apart? Will she get her happily ever after?

I really enjoyed this series and getting to know all of these amazing characters. It's definitely a darker series, but I loved every minute of it!

OMG how gorgeous is the cover. The Chronicles is the collection of all 4 book of Whitsborough. This series is incredible with characters that you will fall in love with. C. A. Rene does amazing job with each book. The Chronicles is available now in kindleunlimited.

Through The Pain
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ember is a kick ass leading woman. Vincent has just enough darkness to handle her. After the death of her mother Ember is now staying with her aunt and uncle where She meets Vincent. Their darkness balance each other out. Ember soon discover she has a brother and who her father is. Then the events surround this bring them closer. The cliffhanger at the end of the book is remarkable.

Into Darkness
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Into Darkness pick up where Through The Pain left you. I’m not going to give away too much. Into Darkness is too good. Ember has to fight the darkness inside of herself not for her but for her family. We get to learn and see more about the brothers. We get twist turn and tragic in the story. C. A. Rene not only does a wonderful job writing the storyline but the characters are so great.

Finding The Light
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Finding The Light is the 3 book in the series and holy cow I was not expecting how this one turned. Travis story not only involves him and Adrianna but also Emmett. There is so much going on in this book. You will be carrying through all kind of emotion. Finding The Light might be the best in the series. The book is so hot. C. A. Rene keeps writing the books better each time. The characters is so wonderful and sexy.

To Redemption
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

To Redemption is the final book to the series and you won’t be disappointed. C. A. Rene didn’t disappoint us with this book. All the characters come together and bring down the evil in town. They also get their happy ever after. I’m not going into what they have to go through to get there but let says To Redemption will not only answer your questions but give you everything need to finish the series. C. A. Rene has written a great series with wonderful characters.

I loved all of the twists and turns this series took, it’s so unpredictable that no one would of expected that ending. I couldn’t get enough, it has so much to offer…it’s so dark, caged fights, bullying, revenge, murder, suspense, gangs, corruption and subterfuge. Nothing is as it seems in this brilliantly plotted story with an array of colourful characters. I love the witty banter between this unorthodox family.

There are 4 books that make up the Whitsborough Chronicles and I am reviewing each one. CA Rene did a wonderful job in this series and it is dark, passionate, bloody and emotional. I am so overwhelmed with emotions finishing this book and series! The way CA wrote this series, it tore me apart in the most brutally beautiful way. I felt a connection to each and every character and they each left an imprint on me.

Through The Pain
This book is full of hilarious banter and a strong badass FMC that fights. When a tragic event happens to Ember, her entire life is uprooted and changes for the better. She discovers family that she didn't know she had, gains new friends, falls in love with a soul just as dark as hers and leaves her old gang life behind. Or so she thought.... She is faced with life or death, but that choice is taken from her in the name of protecting whats most important. There are twists and turns that were hinted at, but i was shocked with the end. A little lube would have been nice for that one C.A.

Into Darkness
The blood lust in Into Darkness is flipping real. We pick up exactly where we left off in Through the Pain, book 1 of the Whitsborough Chronicles. After Ember murders her father, we start to see flashbacks and nightmares of what she has done, but she doesn't regret it. She welcomes this feeling with open arms, finally embracing her darkness. But the darkness can only be sated when she kills now. The family and dynamic she has increases and changes quite a bit in this book. Ember is out for blood after events just keep spiraling out of control. Nobody messes with what is hers, and she's about to make that a known lesson after what is taken from her once more happens.

Finding The Light
Finding the Light is the 3rd book in the Whitsborough Chronicles Series. This book is told from the POV of Travis and Emmett. We continue on the journey with the family as we dive into the past and present with Travis and Emmett. We learn what the boys have endured and it's pretty messed up. While Emmett seems to have made peace with his past, there is clearly some unresolved trauma for Travis. It runs deeper than they think when they start to dig deeper into it. It tore at my heart and made me super emotional. Travis feels sooooo much but believes he is unworthy due to his past. The dynamic of feelings changes in this book as well between Emmett and Travis. As they start to become closer, closer they become. Insert Adri. The secrets and lies of the town are more than they could have ever thought, with reach farther than even that. There is a whole network of effed up shady poop going on and they are determined to get to the bottom of it.

To Redemption
To Redemption is the final book in the Whitsborough Chronicles. This is the closing story of Ember and her family, from all points. There is gut wrenching pain, loss, sadness, brokenness, joy, relief, love, betrayal and grief. All questions are finally answered, burried truths and cover ups are revealed and minds are effed without lube. Ember is utterly ruthless and determinded to right the wrongs that have been done in her town. This is her time to purge the corruption and start new. She is serving her own form of justice that is long overdue, not to mention permanent. The bloodlust and sex is effing real and hotter than the AZ desert. Ember and Vin. They are my absolute favorite. The fierce love and protectiveness they have for eachother, I have no words to even describe the massive emotions they give me. They share twin souls and are soul mates, they have a bond and complete eachother in perfect unison. There's really no other way to describe it. These two have me completely done for.

O.M.G….I love reading the Whitsborough Chronicles. If you haven’t read it yet you are seriously missing out. I have read all of the books from Whitsborough Chronicles series that make up the Whitsborogh The Chronicles and they are deliciously dark, hot, and steamy! You just have to laugh, cry, get mad, frustrated and so many other emotions. Readers are kept guessing what will happen next. You won’t want to put it down. C.A. Rene is one of my favorite authors and I have read almost all of her books. I just love dark, drama filled, forbidden romances. C.A. Knows how to capture your attention and keep it. I love reading the series again. I just finished read Saxon’s Distortion in the Whitsborough Progeny series. I am happy to say it doesn’t end there. Next out is Gabriel’s Deception and I can’t wait. I am currently in the middle of reading Claiming The Reaper by C.A. Rene and R.E. Bond while waiting for Gabriel’s Deception o be released. I highly recommend Whitsborough: The Chronicles, Whitsborough Progeny and C.A. Rene as an author. By the way you can always check out my reviews for the individual books that make up the Whitsborough Chronicles. There are two advantages of reading the Whitsborough Chronicle. The first is the bonus scene Black Slaughter’s training (Saxon) and the second is it’s way cheaper to get the books all in into one book than buying individually. Anyway, Happy Reading!

This series was such a crazy, unexpected ride!
If I could, I would definitely give it more than 5⭐️!

It was a fast-paced read that had me hooked with likable characters and interesting storyline with lots of twists and turns!
Ember is such a strong, MMA trained young woman! I instantly fell in love with her sass and snark and I loved her development as the series progressed.
She definitely found her match in Vin! Her relationship with Vin gets stronger in with each book and I loved how he is her rock through everything. They are perfect soulmates!

I was curious about Travis since the first book and definitely wasn’t expecting for his past to be so dark and heartbreaking. The storyline in his book was dark, raw and emotional. I was so happy for his hea with Emmett and Adri!

And then the last book had so many unexpected twists and turns! I was not ready for such an emotional roller coaster! I was at the edge of my seat the whole time!
Ember finally got her revenge, and Vin and her together serving justice was so dark and bloody! And those delicious steamy scenes were so hot!

The ending was perfect for all of them!
This whole series has been a crazy and amazing journey! Definitely recommend this for all dark romance lovers!
I’m so glad I found this author!

Whitsborough was the second series I devoured by Chrissy(Desecrated drew me to her;HIGHLY recommend).

Once I started I couldn’t put them down. I fell in love with their world and these characters she gave us. These four books follow Ember, Vin, Adrianna, Travis, & Emmett. Through their friendships, relationships(Vin is Daddy🥵), family drama(to put it lightly), & different businesses that come about. We see them grow, learn, fall in love, & start their own dynasty(follow them in Whitsborough Progenies).

Check for trigger warnings. Here are a few:
Violence
Gangs
Blood play
Abuse

It’s a very intense read and will not be suitable for everyone. It is NOT a clean OR safe read. Please read reviews and spoilers to make sure this series is for you before reading. Dark romance lovers, this is perfect for you! You’re getting your dark & dirty little hearts desires with this one. Get to reading.

I once referred to Whitsborough as a Disney Princess… I was f*cking wrong. This place is the complete opposite, more like Ursula, Maleficent, and Jafar combined… times one thousand. Every villain in the whole Disney Universe comes here to f*cking party.

This is book 1-4 of The Whitesborough Chronicles. I read the series and I think it is great having them together in a set like this. A complete series that takes you on a crazy adventure. I enjoy reading like this. It makes for an enjoyable experience to keep going and going with great literature.

Depravity and darkness are strong throughout this series. Each has its own installment but they tie together beautifully. I'm very impressed with this author and I am very happy to have read this series.

I don't want to spoil it for anyone but if you enjoy the dark romance with dark deviance and violence, then this is for you!!

Let me say, Mafia/gang trope and absolute raging vengeance tour combined with dark romance.
This series is bloody and dark.
Ember is a young, obsessed with MMA fighting girl with a troubled past and some great misfortune happening to her. She’s an excellent fighter, often involved in gang activities as one of the Cleaners.

Vin is a multilayered character with an equally troubled past as Ember, equally dark, perfect match to Ember.
They both rather speak with their fists than words.

Having read dark books by CA Rene with more mature characters, I was a bit taken aback by the Highschool setting combined with the age of the characters. The first book within the series was a bit of a tough piece for me to read, because being used to Renes other books, I had difficulty diving into the story. Boy, was I wrong. And it was good I went on. With the second book things pick up in speed, vengeance, blood, emotions and evolving with the characters. Em and Vin really grow together and start relying on and trusting each other. For me, due to initial difficulties 4/5 ⭐️

What’s left to say? Check triggers, this is HEA series.

Phenomenal Series!

This is one hell of an amazing series. Each book is a dark, gritty, emotional and twisted sexy ride that will keep you gripping your kindle tightly and turning the pages quickly just to see what happens next.

Each story is brilliantly written with complex and damaged characters (some that you love some you might hate) and with heavy storylines that are filled with emotions, pain, anger, drama, angst and darkness that will have you laughing, crying, and gushing with love.

The journey this amazing author takes us on throughout this series is all consuming, heartbreaking, entertaining and powerful. It touches on some heavy issues that will be triggering for some readers but worth every tear dropped.

Absolutely phenomenal!

3/5 🌶

Whitsborough was one of my first reads by Chrissy. The characters are written well and like everything else Chrissy writes the story carries a lot of emotion and character development.

Ember has has a hard life. She’s a strong MFC who has a strong sense of self worth.

Ember lived a life of poverty and fighting for a local gang as a way to make money. After a tragedy she moves with her aunt and uncle to Whitsborough. A town with secrets and concealed crime. Villains you’re going to hate and twists you’re not going to see coming. Ember finds her self in the middle of everything which creates a vigilante out for revenge.

I will read anything and everything C.A Rene writes. I absolutely love the way she creates a world and characters. With that being said I'm reading this series backwards.  I first stumbled upon C.A. Rene when her Whitsborough Progenies series released and I quickly devoured those. Being able to read the inside scoop of Ember and her generation is phenomenal. Getting to love & hate the characters and taking this wild and crazy journey through Whitsborough is a ride I never want to get off of. I honestly don't want this series to ever end. I love everything about this book and more! Definitely is one for the shelves!

Such a gorgeous cover for this amazing series. This is a collection of all four of the Whitsborough books. This is a dark romance that you will fall in love with. The characters are dark, gritty, and raw.

Book one starts off with Ember. While she hasn’t had an easy life. She is a true heroine. Secrets will unfold and bring lots of pain. Each story will interconnect and wrap you up, until you finally reach the fantastic ending.

Character are introduced throughout the series, and Travis, Adrianna, and Emmet are some of my all time favorites. C.A. Rene will have you wanting to immerse yourself into the world of Whitsborough.

It has been a long time since I have been so immersed in a book that I cried. I cried a couple of times reading this series. What starts off as a love story between Ember and Vincent, becomes a saga about a group of people who find each other and find their family. It's dark, it's brutal, it's romantic and hot and it's such a great read! I'm glad I waited to read until there was a box set so that I could lose myself in the whole story. For a girl that usually reads reverse harem, this MF story about a boy and a girl and their friends and family and how they all find each other and find their tribe, literally rips your heart out then softly puts it back together.

As you might know if you click on my profile you would see that this author is one of my all time favourites and I 1 click all her books.

This series is brilliantly written, it’s dark, gritty, bloody and what a roller coaster of emotions Chrissy took me on. I’m super pumped to see that Chrissy and the talk nerdy team has put all 4 books into 1 giant book, now I just carry 1 book to read them all.

I seriously loved all the characters in this book and cried over them all for what they had to go through to finally get their HEA!

I love that this series is now all together to make for an easy read. CA Rene created a dark, twisted and intricate world and each book was better than the previous release.

The characters and their journey grip you from the very beginning and send you on a rollercoaster of events and emotions. Just when you think you know, you don’t. No one is safe.

The series is dark and full of revenge but it showcases love and growing into yourself too. There’s something for everyone and I’m not sure if I wanted to turn the pages faster to have the mysteries solved or for some aww moments.

Highly recommend this series and the Whitsborough Progenies as well.
