I think this book is a good read for anybody. On a daily basis we go through not even giving a second thought to why and how people act the way they do. After working for the Birmingham community Nhs hospitals, I have realised that our actions / what we say are affected by the state of mental health and we should all be more considerate towards this as hard as it can be to understand what your not struggling with.
I have had family members with various mental health issues, and this book has helped enlighten what I didn’t know. At least give this book a chance before disregarding it.
This is an excellently written self help book. It is a short but insightful read that puts you in a state of self reflection. I found the perspectives about negative thoughts very helpful and the examples incredibly practical. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone and everyone
I found this to be a good starting point to understanding what negative thinking is and some techniques to try. It is pretty basic in its advice and writing style but a good springboard to further reading and thought with useful exercises to get started with.
I know to others is common sense but to me at 48 years of age only now have I took the time to better myself. I am getting better day by day and stronger day by day thanks to books like this. Thank you.
