A week at a working ranch isn’t exactly what a former cowboy would consider a vacation. But then again, Rawhide isn’t exactly your typical cattle farm, and Reid Phillips isn’t your average cowboy. He left his family ranch with only his good looks, country charisma, and playboy ways, and never looked back.
If Madigan “Maddie” Arsenault had known her bestie arranged a week at Rawhide Ranch as a chance to find her a man, Maddie never would’ve agreed to this so-called vacation. This homebody with a perpetual cloud over her head may be adorable but she has no interest in being anyone’s Little.
Ranch owner Derek Hawkins assigning Reid to be Maddie’s Daddy for the length of their stay throws a wrench in everyone’s plans. Reid thought he’d be playing the field, and Maddie has no intention of letting a man into her bed, never mind her heart. At the end of the week, will the magic of Rawhide bring these two stubborn hearts together and allow them to ride off into the sunset? Or will all their holiday hopes be ruined by Derek’s matchmaking?
This is part of the Rawhide Ranch series, a BDSM/Dude Ranch for Littles and their Bigs. Here, we get an opposites-attract romance between one-man woman Maddie and, err, many-women man Reid. When they're paired together for a week's vacation, will their growing feelings last beyond? Safety: This doesn't bother me, but others may not like that we hear about the MC's past partners.
I don't particularly like this series since it's filled with arm-twisting and only pays lip service to consent: the women are consistently forced to do things they either don't want to; are very uncertain about; or are not physically up for (note that Maddie was afraid that Derek would paddle her even though she A) Hadn't given him permission, and B) Was injured by a fall from a horse). I will, however, read it when an author I like writes for it and, by and large, I like Honey Meyer -- but not here. This author, who is usually all about consent, communication, and mutual respect abandons all three when Reid, that supposedly intuitive Daddy, forces a shy and damaged young woman still not fully comfortable with her Little side to bare her spanked bottom in front of relative strangers. It's only by the magic of fiction that the introvert Maddie doesn't run safe-wording from the room, Reid, and the Ranch. I lost all respect for both of them: Reid for publicly humiliating someone he claims to care for, and Maddie, for being such a doormat that she just lets him do whatever he wants. Indeed, this attitude later becomes incoherent when Reid doesn't punish Maddie in public because, I don't know, he suddenly realizes it bothers her?
I had other problems with this book. The lengthy monologues between spoken questions and their answers meant that I had to re-read whole sections. And while the author usually writes interesting heroines, Maddie, while somewhat likable, was so pliant that she was more of a straight man's wet dream than a fleshed-out character: I can't even tell you what she does for a living. But public humiliation is one of my hard limits and should have been in the blurb.
2 stars. Not even the touching exchange towards the end can make up for all that went before. If this were my first Honey Meyer book, it would have been my last. And I'm not at all surprised that a man paddles an already bruised and injured young woman instead of suggesting therapy because that is par for the course in this hugely problematic series. Note: One character will get her own book in Ms. Meyer's "Clover City" series: Tamsyn's Twin Daddies.
I enjoy Honey Meyer's writing & this book was no exception -for the most part- it lacked some of her usual depth & details & that made it feel kinda rushed ..
The story is sweet & I liked the main characters and their friends a lot, but some of their actions seemed kinda out of character or not well reasoned, also some parts felt unnecessary & could have been better without it .. but I tend to overlook these issues while reading 😅
As I said, the story was sweet & I enjoyed it 🥰 There were many pleasant moments & some emotional ones too 🥺

Maddie's friend Tamsyn wants to go away on a final trip together before she moves to Clover City. She takes Maddie to Rawhide Ranch hoping that Maddie will finally let her little out and maybe even find a daddy. Helping her get over the grief of losing her high school sweetheart and first daddy, Josh to war. Reid's friend Fitz wanted to visit the ranch for their vacation. One morning while Reid was at the stables visiting the horses a little fell off a horse that had gotten scared by a snake, that little just happened to be Maddie. He went over and immediately started taking care of her. After he got her back to her room resting with ice on her arm and cuddling with her stuffie, he was called to Derek's office. The owner of Rawhide Ranch asked Reid if he would step in and be Maddie's Daddy for the week. Both Reid and Maddie agree to the arrangement and began spending time together. Reid falls fast while Maddie is dealing with the guilt of loving someone else besides Josh. Can Reid be a good daddy and help Maddie navigate her feelings?
I love Maddie's obsession with stabbing someone in the eye with a fork! 😆😉.

A Memorable Little Memorial Day by Honey Meyer is set in the Rawhide Ranch series and is such a sweet, emotional, charming addition to the holiday series! Honey definitely tugs on some heartstrings as we fall head over heels in love with Maddie and Reid.
Maddie is such a sweetheart, so much baggage she's carrying around, so much love to give, but nowhere to channel it. She's stuck in a rut, and getting shaken out of it, living life again for herself, it's one heck of a battle she faces with such courage and resilience.
Reid is a charmer, a bit of a drifter and good time guy, and then bam gets hit in the feels by an unassuming woman that captures all his attention giving him focus and direction for the first time in his life. He doesn't think it's for him, yet he is bowled over and smitten and can't fight it, and it was beautiful to witness.
This is jam-packed full of emotions, of friendship, of trust and love and loyalty and overcoming grief, and cuteness in the form of foals named Peanut. We see familiar faces, meet new ones, and continue to adore everything about Rawhide Ranch and everyone there.
So, if you're looking for a cute and fast paced read that is sweet and loving and touching to boot, look no further!
What a simply beautiful story to read. I fell in love with Reid and Maddi. My heart ached for Maddie and her loss of her first Daddy who lost his life for his country. Maddie has pushed her Little side away because she doesn’t feel that she deserves that side of herself. When her best friend takes her to the Rawhide Ranch for the Memorial Day week, she is resistant but when she meets Reid, Maddie soon starts reverting to her Little side again.
Reading how these two beautiful characters grow in their roles and the nurturing side of Reid comes out to play and Maddie grows closer to him, their romance builds until they finally realise that what they have is a happily ever after in the making. I laughed and cried with Maddie during her journey. You don’t want to miss reading this beautiful story and grow to love all the characters introduced in this book.

This is a wonderful story about 2 people forced to come to Rawhide Ranch with their friends. Maddie and Reid would never have met if it was not for Maddie falling off a horse. Reid running in to make sure she was alright after he saw why the horse was spooked. Reid sweept her up in his arms and carried her out of the arena to care for her. Maddie was taken back to her room then Reid was called into Master Dereks office. Master Derek then made the announcement that Reid would be Maddies Daddy during her stay. This book had a lot of feelings come out during their week. I honestly believe this is the best Rawhide Ranch book that I have read.
I read an early review copy of this book for an honest review.

Loved the story at the Rawhide Ranch in Montana. Honey Meyer the author had wrote a wonderful story about a Little that hid who she was after the death of the love of her life. Maddie and her best friend Tamsyn went to Rawhide Ranch on a vacation before Tamsyn moves to Clover hopping that Maddie will find a Daddy. Reid decided to go with his best friend Fitz to Rawhide Ranch as they are both Daddies Reid ended up spending time with the horses and that was when he met Maddie they spent a lot of time together they had a connection.

Little hijinks and Big hugs - love Rawhide Ranch magic!
An emotional journey for Maddie through lingering sadness to a good place via the loving, nurturing and very caring connection with Daddy Reid.
An unfortunate loss in her past has caused Maddie to have seated guilt issues, which is further complicated by her growing attraction and feelings to her temporary Daddy. I appreciate how Reid is cognizant to Maddie's need for permission to own her grief and a validation of her deepseated connection to the past.
Once again, there is a plethora of sage advice and wisdom to be garnered within these pages, not preachy but delivered in a compassionate and benevolent manner.
I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is the sweet love story between Maddie and Reid. She has been struggling and her best friend knows that she needs to find her Little again. Reid wasn't looking for anyone like Maddie. The connection between them was unexpected. Reid is a really good Daddy for her. She brings out all of the strong protective and loving instincts. He makes her feel secure and cared about. I liked this book and the characters. They have some bumps in the road but work things out.

I've not read a lot by Honey Meyer, but this won't be my last. Thankfully this series is available on Kindle Unlimited so I can read the rest of them for free. This is about Maddie, a confused Little girl who want ready to embrace her kink, and Reid, former cowboy turned mechanic, who isn't ready to settle down. When they meet at Rawhide Ranch, here is sizzle and chemistry that Maddie isn't ready to pursue. There is a lot of sizzle, steam, soul searching, some drama, and a little kink. Great read.

This is a beautiful book, fill of heartfelt emotion and passion. Maddie is tricked in going on a littles holiday by her best friend. She is mortified as she didn't even realise her best friend knew she was a little. Her plan is to his under the blankets until home time. Reid is persuaded to go to Rawhide Ranch by his best friend. When Maddie had an accident Reid's daddy instincts come rushing to the surface and looking after her is all he can think of. A great story full of depth and interesting characters. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and recommend it. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book was a short story about a woman who is a Little who suffered the loss of her first love. Her friend has taken her to a place called Rawhide Ranch for a week. It is a BDSM ranch. Tamsyn takes her friend Madigan “Maddie” Arsenault for a vacation at Rawhide Ranch. Maddie is a very shy quiet Little. Maddie on her first day there gets injured falling off a horse 🐎. The guy who owns the ranch Derek has a guy named Reid Phillips be Maddie’s Daddy for the remainder of her stay. Reid is immediately taken with Maddie. Reid is a cowboy and he fixes up cars. He helps Maddie overcome her fears of horses and of being the Little that she is. This story wasn’t all that spicy 🌶️ and it was cute.
I love the Rawhide Ranch books, this one is not exception. Reid and Maddie both end up on the ranch at the same time. When Reid sees Maddie fall of a horse he is there to pick her up. Maddie does not want a man, and Reid thought he would play the field. Derek calls Reid into his office and tells him he will be Maddie's daddy for the duration of her stay. These books are all filled with wonderful littles and strong daddies. Reid and Maddie's story is wonderful and it is nice to see how it ended.

Neither Maddie nor Reid is looking for a relationship. Maddie’s determined to keep her Little under wraps until an accident brings her peeking out and Reid is drawn to the sad Little. The more they’re together, the more he wonders if they can make it work. Or will the fact that she’s keeping a secret and that she lives so far away keep this a vacation fling? Such a sweet story and sad in spots too, but I loved it. Great characters and storyline.

I loved this story about Maddie and Reid at Rawhide Ranch. It took Reid a little time to get Maddie to feel safe with him being her Daddy. These two brought out the best of each other and Maddie loved Reid but was scared. After finding out why Maddie was scared Reid soothed her and told her how much he needed her and loved her. I look forward to more visits at Rawhide Ranch. A place where littles and Daddy can play and discover themselves. Great Story.

Another cute couple and matching making success from Rawhide Ranch!
I loved that we had a couple who appeared on the surface to be opposites (small town/large city, etc.) But the time spent together as Rawhide clearly showed them that opposites attract...and where there is a will there is a way!
Also, dealing with the loss of a previous partner was handle with such grace...and not swept "under the rug", making it feel like a true life story.
A little extra from our regular Rawhide friends would've been nice...but I'm just a Rawhide fan girl ;) can't help myself.
As a horse girl who took a bad tumble, I really identified with Maddie's fear. When the author was talking about the scents of trail riding, it brought back a lot of memories. Iykyk.
This is a quick book that deals with some heavy topics. Both characters have been wounded. Maddie, in particular, has a lot to overcome.
As with other Rawhide Ranch books, there are shenanigans.
A quick read, it is adorable, sexy, and has heart. Mission accomplished!
Can he help her embrace the life that is waiting for her?
Another great story for Rawhide Ranch. I loved watching Maddie slowly fall for Reid, even though she resisted at first. Her story was heartbreaking and I'm so glad her friend talked her into going to the Ranch. Reid was gentle, patient and kind with Maddie and took his time with her. As always, I love seeing Derek and Sadie............she's still a hoot and I love her! This was a sweet story and now I can't wait until Maddie's friend gets her story in a book!!!
I could not decide which of them I loved the most. Loyal drifter Reid needed someone to ground him but did not know it. Poor shy Maddie needed someone to see her. I loved both of them and enjoyed reading their story. They are so good for each other. I love this amazing author who writes real and very alive characters and scenes. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and I recommend it. This is an enjoyable and sweet well written story.
I loved that Reid and Maddie's story starts with their friends bringing them to Rawhide Ranch. I feel for Maddie because she carries so much guilt but I loved how she opened up to Reid. I loved that Reid helped her get rid of her guilt and thought he was such a good daddy. I loved that Reid is able to see he didn't want to settle and she was exactly what he needed.

You wonder, from the beginning, if Maddie was dumped or something worse. But whatever it was, it left her not wanting to move on. Thank goodness Tamsyn plans a trip to the ranch to help her get out. Then Master Derek does his matchmaking and knocks it out of the park. Maddie and Reid are perfect for each other, if they can get out of their own ways. This was such a great story with strong characters and storyline. Loved every minute of it! And definitely looking forward to Tamsyn’s book!
I can say I love all the Rawhide Ranch books. Maddie did not want to come but her best friend talked her into it. Then while they were learning how to ride a horse a snake makes the horse Maddie is on bucked and she falls off. Reid came to rescue and then Derek ask Reid to be her daddy while she is here. What can happen at the ranch with a bunch of Littles. Now you will have to read and find out. Enjoy
This is the first time I have read setting by Honey Myers and it will not be the last. Maddie and Reid have such a sweet amd beautiful story. From the get-go I love their interactions with each other. They are a fantastic pairing. There is so much emotion in the shorter read. This really is a wonderful read.
Reid ends up at Rawhide Ranch because of his meddlesome best Friend, Little Maddie end up at Rawhide ranch because of her best friend insisting she takes a vacation with her before she moves away. This is one of my favorite Rawhide books in this years series.
Sweet and romantic read as a Daddy and Little find each other
Maddie had never heard of Rawhide Ranch and was both excited and surprised her best friend realised she was a Little. When Derek had put her under the care of Reid they had not it off and as the week passed both their heart began to change.
This is a lovely read, sweet and emotional at times just a great read.
I like the way that Reid is respectful of Maddie and is always ready to check in with her. Both begin by agree this is a week long event but of course things shift between them. I really also like how Reid doesn't down play Maddie's feeling and is willing to work out with her the best ways to proceed as they move forward together. This was a sweet story of love changing everything.
Best friends always know what the others need. These two were so lucky that their friends made them come to the Ranch and give something new a try. What a sweet kind Daddy and stubbornly sweet little. Happy reading. P.S. love that this books give hints of other books to come. Happy reading.
I was excited about this book and for a very good reason. The relationship between Maddie and Reid was full of ups and downs. However, being at the Rawhide Ranch gave them a place to get to know each other! I loved this book.
