One thing about Ladii Nesha, she gon’ come through with the shyts and giggles with a heavy dose of messiness. When I tell y’all, this book was a hot funky mess and I mean that in the most positive way. The road to love was not easy for Yana and Rex. All they wanted to do was date, get to know one another, and possibly fall in love. But, his overbearing azz mama and sisters made that impossible to do. Linda was the devil in disguise. That woman was pure evil. In her mind no one, and I mean no one, was good enough for Rex. The things she did to keep Yana and Rex apart will blow your mind. Her duplicity knew no bounds. But, I fault Rex. When it came to his mama, he had some serious blinders. Rex refused to see Linda for the manipulative woman she really was, and it almost cost him everything. Yana had her own mama issues to deal with. Yazmine was TRASH! How you gon’ be jealous of your daughter when you’re the one who left her with your mama to raise while you were out being a hot girl for the last 24 years?!!! And, that foul shyt she did?!!! Ooooooo!!! I wanna tell y’all so bad but, I’m not. Just know, she deserved that azz whoopin’ Yana gave her. Jelly and Justin are the toxic non-couple we all deserve. While this storyline was about Yana and Rex, it may as well have been about Jelly and Justin because, they stole the whole damn book. These two jokesters had me in tears from start to finish. Jelly is my spirit animal. If you're not handin’ out a two piece to anyone that looks at me sideways, cuttin' off somebody's toes to get me the answers I need, purposely rockin' someone's jaw to go to jail with me, and offering to be my baby daddy when my real baby daddy is too busy being a mama's boy, you can't be my bestie. You'll Always Be My Baby was a phenomenal read. It was funny as hell and the plot twists were jaw dropping. This book is a cautionary tale that shows the importance of setting boundaries. Especially, with overbearing family members. Do yourself a favor and read this book.
