His touch makes her burn. And that's the one thing she must never do... Blaise can’t afford to lose control. She can’t let her inner monster rise. Not ever again.
Even if that means denying her own feelings… and her fated mate.
But that’s okay. She’s used to repressing her animal, and her desires. She can keep her distance from him, no matter what her friends think.
Nothing has to change. After all, he can’t possibly feel the same instant, soul-deep connection. Despite the way his dark eyes seem to look straight into her heart, seeing everything she tries to hide… he’s not a shifter.
At least, not anymore.
With his own animal dead, he never needs to know that she’s his mate...
Right?

Zoe Chant loves writing paranormal romance. Over a cup of tea (or something stronger) she whips up sexy tales of hunky heroes and adventurous heroines to tantalize and satisfy her readers. Sizzling hot romance, no cliffhangers!
While series should ideally be read in order, all of Zoe’s books are standalones and can be read in any order. This includes books within series.
Zephyr was thought to have perished when the Thunderbird set fire to his home when he was a kid but that's not what happened at all. Zephyr became one with the Thunderbird and has been lost to it because he performed the ritual without having an anchor to call him back. When his mom and sister perished in the fire, his uncle Buck thought he had perished as well but he's been around all along.
Blaise is a black phoenix shifter but she can never let her control slip for a moment and let her animal take control. If that happens, her father who is also a phoenix, would die because there can only be one phoenix.
Buck finally puts two and two together and realizes who the Thunderbird is, so he shoots it with a tranq full of something that should suppress the animal and bring Zephyr back to him but Zephyr sleeps in a coma for several months before waking up. Blaise is there when he wakes up and she knows right away that they are mates but it takes Zephyr a little longer to put the pieces together. As Blaise tries to keep control of her animal, she and Zephyr get to know one another and she learns more about him. Zephyr has learned how to slip into people's dreams and Blaise comes along with him several times which was fun because they see things they probably shouldn't but also get to know one another better.
This series is a spin off from the Fire & Rescue Shifters series, so in the Wildfire Crew we see the Firefighter's kids making a name for themselves as a hotshot firefighting team. So it was a lot of fun to see the parents show up in this book since I had read that series first. When Uncegila, the serpent queen who has been fighting them and sending monsters at them in the previous books, finally makes an appearance and possesses one of their own, they all work together to get rid of her.
While this story starts out a little slowly, it picks up really quickly and the action and story just get better.
But the best part of this book was the ending. That ending made me laugh out loud.
This last book in the series wraps up the over all ARC nicely. We also get to see the parents from Fire & Rescue series. It feels like things won't work out, but we all know that the author will give us a nice HEA. It was another enjoyable read. I love coming back to this world.
I love this series and the original that it spun off from (these characters' parents), and I've been waiting to see how Chant worked out the problem with the phoenix. No spoilers so I won't share what that problem is, only that it could have serious repercussions for another well-loved character. I absolutely loved how Chant resolved it. Add that in with a lot of action, Chant's typical humor, and shifter-mate romance, and it's a wonderful story that ties up things for other characters too. And to top it off, an ending that makes me wonder what's coming next.
This book was the perfect way to end this series and stay the next! Wildfire Zoe Chant had created an absolutely perfect book too and a series with, probably my favorite finale book I have read in a while.
I fell in love with these characters and she really did all of them justice in this book.
3.5 🌟 I liked the wrap up if this series. Blaise deserves it all and Zephyr is an equal treasure. And boy, I'm not sure I can keep up with everything Zoe Chants writes. I wanna read the Shifting Sand series and now there's Camp Cub... Help!
MY RATING GUIDE: 3.5-4 Stars. I was satisfied with the conclusion to the series’ multi-character plot as all the loose ends were finally tied up. It was fun seeing characters from the previous books (and the prequel series) as they returned to assist in the final battle scenes.
1= dnf/What was that?; 2= Nope, not for me; 3= This was okay/fairly good; 3.5= I ENJOYED THIS; 4= I LIKED THIS A LOT; 5= I Loved it, it was great! (I SELDOM give 5 Stars).
Thunder Mt Wildfire Hotshots ~ Blaise Swanmay, Phoenix shifter, met her soulmate in the previous book. As a Phoenix shifter, Blaise fears by developing a true connection with her soulmate, harm - perhaps fatal harm - will come quickly upon her Phoenix father. Therefore Blaise works to keep Zephyr Frazer at a distance. As the fire season draws near, the otherworld beings of the past year begin regaining power. The Wildfire Crew senses a gathering of darkness and they wonder if they have amongst themselves sufficient strength and power to not only resist this coming evil but to finally defeat and vanquish it when it hits.
Quote ~ > “All problems are big to the person who has them.” Zephyr
Comments ~ 1) WILDFIRE PHOENIX is bk 6 and the final book in the Wildfire series. The author, Zoe, strongly advises readers begin with bk1 and read the series in chronological order as a story arc runs throughout the series culminating with WILDFIRE PHOENIX. This is not intended as a Standalone title. 2) Wow. A lot of action and character situations occur in the finale of THUNDER MT HOTSHOTS - WILDFIRE PHOENIX. I didn’t know what to expect coming in but the 2 last MCs fought desperately for their HEA, many loose ends from the previous books were finally tied and snipped off, and the series was concluded with satisfaction including a small teaser at the end for one of the series long-standing secondary characters. Well done. 3) I enjoyed the THUNDER MOUNTAIN WILDFIRE series. Some of the books were a bit darker than others (those dealing more with the possession of evil spirits). Otherwise, the books themselves contained humor, a found family consisting of a group of trusted friends and their bounded mates, plenty of action scenes and a fast pace in a fantasy earth/world where “Shifters Truly Exist” (but covertly). 4) My main, albeit not major, complaint with this series is the repeating pattern of each shifter main character not trusting their “animal” when they attempt to guide them with insights. The human part of the character denies or ignores their animal which brings additional conflict into the story (true) but which could be avoided through better listening/trust. (Almost like the lack of communication or miscommunication between characters which often occurs in Historical or Contempory Romances).
READER CAUTION ~ Not recommended to readers who prefer Clean fiction or to YA readers. PROFANITY - Yes. Strong language is used, more by certain characters than by others (ie., FMC). VIOLENCE - Yes. Mostly through the chaos, pain and death caused by evil being(s) with the power to possess others. This factor/abilty is covered but not dwelt upon. This book mainly focuses on the MCs and their battle against this evil force. SEXUAL SITUATIONS - Yes. Open door intimacy occurs several times which can be skipped over fairly easily if desired.
Good ending to this series. Characters from both the first series and this one come together to overcome a big foe. Not crazy about dream sequences, though, but it's only a small part of the book.
Zoe Chant is one of the most creative inventive authors out there THESE NEED TO BE MADE INTO MOVIE. This is the awesome 2ND part series WILD FIRE SHIFTERS. Zoe Chant is one of the most creative inventive authors out there THESE NEED TO BE MADE INTO MOVIES please also read FIRE & RESCUE SHIFTERS It is The beginning of WILD FIRE SHIFTERS (THEIR PARENTS) new series coming as well a continuation of wild fire shifters and fire & rescue. Buck will return in “Cub Camp Stormwolf’ and also read SHIFTING SANDS RESORT. Oh there are so many ZOE CHANT SERIES TO READ. Note there are more than one Zoe Chant she is a pen name for several talented authors. Also see the Zoe Chant who writes the PROTECTION INC & DEFENDERS INC bodyguard shifters. Double Series it’s amazing with its flying kittens and teleporting puppies magical pets!
This is a good shifter romance, with a likable couple, and a good ending to the Wildfire Crew series. It gets 4 stars from me.
This series is a spin-off of the Fire & Rescue Series, featuring the children of those couples. You don't really have to read the Fire & Rescue Series first, but I believe most readers would enjoy this Wildfire Crew series more if they had read that series -- since it contains a great deal of information on the shifters, their families, and their abilities.
You should definitely read all the books in the Wildfire Crew series in order BEFORE reading this one. If you don't read the other books, you will miss out on a lot of important details, and will find this book quite confusing.
I liked Blaise and Zephyr, and loved that neither of them had any trouble accepting each other's unique traits. It did bother me a little that Blaise waited so long to officially mate with Zephyr, but I understood why she was afraid to do that. I thought it was sad that she had denied her shifter side for so many years, simply because she was afraid. I won't give spoilers on what she was afraid of, but it was a valid fear.
I really liked how the wildfire crew's demon problem was resolved in the end. No spoilers, but it was a good solution -- and also solved Blaise's fear of letting her animal out.
I love all the unique characters, creatures, and shifters that are included in this series. Some of them are a lot of fun, and they made the books very interesting.
One problem I have with all of Zoe Chant's series is that there is so long between books. Lots of times I have to go back and reread some of the earlier books in a series, simply because it has been so long that I don't remember all the characters. That is frustrating. I know Zoe Chant is actually a group of authors, and one person writes all the books in a series -- but I wish the books in a series could be published closer together. I waited to read the first 5 books in this series for quite a while, because I was hoping all of the books in the series would come out. But then I still had to wait several months for this last book to come out -- and ended up having to reread parts of the other books, simply because I couldn't remember all the details.
My rating system is below. 1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it. 2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws. 3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating. 4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one. 5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.
Great finale to this series! Although I didn’t read the previous Fire & Rescue series, those who did will be even more thrilled to see all their favorite characters back in order to help their kids fight the final baddie!!!
It was a cute and actually sort of fun wrap up to this series with a few additional twists. We got a couple of flash-forwards to see how things play out for the group a few years down the road. There’s a final twist in typical Zoe Chant style that will leave your jaw on the floor and counting the seconds to the start of a new series ‘Cub Camp’, which will obviously be a spin-off from ‘Wildfire Crew’.
This complete series must be read in order to make sense of the overlying story. This was my first series by this author and while I might have picked up Cub Camp if it was available, I probably won’t be picking up more by this author…but maybe? I’m more of a steamy romance reader, and these book characters are busy fighting wildfires and bad demons, and don’t have much time for romance and relationships. The hottest thing about the series was the actual wildfires, but the sexy times were completely non-existent (like PG-13 level), and they’re over before you even realize it started. I was also a bit confused about the shifter lore in this series, as it seemed inconsistent. Only true mates can see the mythical shifters in one book, while some human friends can see them without explanation in another. And don’t even get me started on whatever happened in this book, when there can only be 1 Phoenix? Yeah, now there’s potentially MANY? Um, that’s sort of not a true Phoenix then, is it?? I dunno, just don’t think about it too hard and you’ll enjoy this series….
While I had my complaints, this author is very good at weaving a story, especially involving secondary characters. Between the cliffhanger epilogues and bits of history about each pack member, it was impossible NOT to pickup the next book in the series. You become so fully invested in the characters that you cannot wait to read each MC story. Even being annoyed by several things in the book, I was still unable to quit this series until I got to the end. I would literally be picking up the next Cub Camp book right now if it was available. It’s not, so I probably won’t pick up more by this author but only for lack of steam.
We finally got our hands on Wildfire Phoenix, the book we were all waiting for, and it was as epic as we imagined, with everyone getting together to face the ultimate challenge.
So we all knew that Blaise was facing a lot of trauma, but with the information we got from the previous books, it was hard to piece together what happened, we finally get a better idea of what happened and how. Even after watching the struggles of her friends, she still tries to deny the mate bond and makes everything harder while trying to keep herself in check and her father safe. She is facing a lot of challenges, and punishing herself for something she didn't mean to do. Zephyr's story is not exactly what I imagined, but we get a better picture of what happened and what was his life like while he was the thunderbird. We also see him struggle with his wants and his duty, as the last person capable of stopping the demons that threaten our reality. I really loved it, but I hate how it ended. I mean, from the glimpses of the future we got from Joe I already wanted another series and was willing to read anything related to the wildfire crew, it didn't have to end in a cliffhanger! Those motherloving shifters did it again, I can't wait to read more about the new generation, while also wanting to read more about the other members of this generation we didn't get to read about. I know that we will get to know more about a few of them, like Rory's sisters and Callum's brothers, but I wanted more about Connor's crew and the others we know nothing about.
Amazing last book in the Wildfire Crew series. Having read the first generation and all the books in this second generation of shifter firemen/women, this book is especially poignant because there's a blending of the two. Read both series and in order- you won't regret it because this group of shifters have touched my heart. Reading about them and how they support and love each other, how they are a pack, as Fenrir, the hellhound shifter describes them (his story was amazing too) always brings happiness to my heart.
This story was exciting and I could not put it down, to the detriment of my work! Following Blaise, the black phoenix who didn't want to be a phoenix because there can be only one and her father would die if she assumed her role. She meets her mate in the man possessed by the Thunderbird, Zephyr. The whole love story was a little heartbreaking but well done and tied in so well to the world that this author has developed through the multiple series.
The overarching arc of this series is the demon queen trying to take over the world. The climactic battle had me biting my nails. The epilogue had me smiling. And the set up for the next series had me cheering. I can not wait!
Finally the Thunderbird and Blaise’s story. This is the sixth book in this series and starts where Wildfire Hellhound left off. It is another exciting fast paced story full of friendship, love, danger, drama, silliness, misunderstandings, and magic. I have been waiting for Blaise’s story for almost the entire series. Because of the overarching storyline, this book will not make as much sense if you have not read the previous five books. At the start of this book, Zephyr wakes up from a three month long coma because Blaise has come to visit him. Blaise knows when she first looks into Zephyr’s eyes that he is her true mate but also knows that mating could jeopardize her ability to keep her shifter side, the phoenix, locked down. The two follow the twisting road to their HEA while continuing to battle the demon snakes and Uncegila. The way the book deals with Blaise’s struggle to control her animal and protect her dad along with Blaise and Zephyr’s willingness to sacrifice for the good of others gave me all the feels. My only complaint with the story was that it felt a bit long to me. I am sad that this is the final book in this series but loved the set up for the new series.
What a way to sort of end an epic set of books!! Kids, parents, friends, family, mates... all unite as one. One family. One pack. Just EPIC!! I laughed, I cried, I cheered, I made people look at me like I had lost my mind... but I didnt. I once again was swept away by the sheer awesomeness that is the zoe chant trademark. Their storytelling abilities are in a league of their own. A very elite league with very few members.
As to the story... all I can say is this... those who have read ALL the books before this one, buckle up buttercups yall are in for one HELL of a ride!!
And those that havent.... you NEED to read ALL the books. Parents AND kids. Many ends get tired up, others present themselves for the future, but through it all... the magic of the story will have you reading on the edge of your seats. Right to the very end, which isnt really an end ;)
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and am grateful zoe was able to finally get it out. It was worth EVERY MINUTE of waiting!! Wont put in any spoilers, you'll have to read it yourself!
Well, actually, 2 series and an introduction to a 3rd series coming soon! Zephyr the Thunderbird has been in a coma for 3 months, until Blaise sits down and touches his hand. Suddenly, he is awake and Blaise is having trouble controlling her phoenix. The twists and turns in this story are phenomenal. It finally answers many questions from the previous stories. I can't say any more, but that you really need to read both the Fire and Rescue Shifters and then this one with their children, The Wildfire Shifters series in order. This way all will make sense. If you don't, then I don't think you will enjoy this story as much as I did. You will be missing too much background. I may go back and re-read them all again!
The pace is breakneck and the tone is uncertain yet hopeful with a character and action oriented storyline that has some steamy suggestions but no major details. The characters are vivid and endearing. I am psyched to read that Zoe already has a follow-up series planned. I can't wait!
Last book in this series (season two, first one was the parents) this is the second time I read this series, poor blaise really did have a tough time more so than the others because if she went full shift it would kill her dad, so very sad in parts, being the only women in the original group (before mates joined) it was much awaited for her love story it was clear she is romantic at heart but also with a strong will.her and zephyr was very sweet together (was he a virgin?he was taken at 15?) This ends on a 8 years later so kids are born (we saw them a little and Joe gives us a peak) I did not understand flash having a cellphone? She does not have fingers? A bit of a shock with poor buck he has had a tough life has it is that kind of ends on a cliff hanger.I thought the camp was called cub camp thunderstorm.but looks like a new series is coming out called cub camp stormwolf? I was hoping blaise would have had kids 8 years later, poor zeph has missed out on so much it would of been nice to see not him stressed out at work.
I have read all six books in the series, and I read the previous books that are related to this series.
The one thing that all of the characters do the same is completely ignore their inner animals. They are shifters they share their minds, souls with an animal. And every time serious crisis arises they ignore it. And it never fails that if they had just listened and the first place, they wouldn’t have gone through everything they’ve gone through.
They don’t take into consideration the fact that they watched all of their friends and family go through the same exact struggle, heartbreak, and completely avoidable situations.
It would be nice if the author could’ve used a different antagonist other than none of them listening to their inner animals. I would’ve liked a story where they actually listen to their inner animals and had a different crisis of the same predictable one where it could’ve been easily avoided if they just listen to their inner animals
Man oh man what an ending. The Cub Camp finally up and running, oh my these third generation is going be an handful. But my Blaise name now befits her, The Phoenix taking over from her father. It took her a long time to get there, but she finally faced her fears. Now Zehpyr has total control over his Thunderbird good that finally happened as well. Now all the A_Quad are mated except now Buck of course. Now that the evil serpent is nomore life as it is will go back to normal...so to speak. But in the future things take a turn for the better, or maybe the worse since now what Buck feared all along has now come to pass. He's now a mother loving shifter😂😂. Oh I can't wait to hear what other remarks he had to say being turned..And I for one can't wait for the new series which will take some time to materialise, but I can wait no matter how long it takes..Oh Zoe you out done yourself with this one..and I LOVE IT!!! Big Fan As Always Winzie19 🤗💞👏👏👏👏👏.
Okay, so here we go....do not read this book if you have not read the rest of the series (well you can, but most def spoilers) Was it worth the wait (the agonizing year long wait....) OMG it was! The problem with these motherloving shifter books, I want to tell you everything, and yes, I know I can't. But for y'all in the front, our 'girl' nailed Blaise's story!!! The way everything came together and......well this is where I'm at a loss for words. If I say too much, well ya know. So here it is. Action, suspense, humor (cause we all gotta laugh), and romance. I don't even have enough adjectives in my vocabulary to tell you how much I loved it! The only hint I will give you as fans of this series, there are a lot of guest appearances. I am hoping (wink, wink) there will be a spinoff series.
Oh, there is so much to love about this book. TOTALLY worth the wait... So much so, that I feel the need to go back to the very beginning and do it all over again! To those unfamiliar with this series. STOP ... start at the beginning!
Blaise has carried a very heavy burden for a long time. How she navigates the potential disasters along the way was a beautiful love story unfolding. Zephyr is the perfect mate for her. He's patient, kind, and selflessly puts the needs of others ahead of his own desires.
This book was EVERYTHING I love about this series. Family bonds, and coming together to fight the big bad in the book. A wonderful surprise brought by one of Joe's visions was super fun!
Epic ending!! But that Epilogue ... whoa boy ... I can hardly wait :)
Zephyr has been released from the Thunderbird after 15 years. In human form Blaise realizes he is her mate but she fights taking her animal form as The Phoenix. There has only been one Phoenix at a time and her father holds that position. If she comes into her true power it will harm her father so she refuses to go there. She tries to come up with a way to mate Zephyr to anchor him when he becomes the Thunderbird again and it involves severing ties with her animal. It doesn't work and when Zephyr shifts the mate bonds are broken. Everything comes to a final showdown when Uncegila rears her ugly head and seems to be undefeated. Blaise must embrace her animal and work with the Thunderbird to overcome the evil. I love the characters and their stories and can't stop reading.
Although I hated waiting for this story, it was definitely worth it. This has been an incredible, exciting, and intense series, and I loved it all. This was a terrific story with a lot of unexpected surprises, and an awesome ending! Lol! I really can't wait to read the new upcoming series, and hope to see more of the originals "kids" finding their own HEA's! I have to recommend that you start with the original series, Fire and Rescue series (which is about the Alpha Team firefighters, and also the parents of the characters from this series). They're all absolutely fantastic stories, and you'll have a better understanding of the characters, the different crews, the connections, and the dynamics between all of them. You certainly won't be disappointed! I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.
Blaise has been a private and mysterious character throughout the Wildfire Hot Shots series. In this, the conclusion of the series, we find the pain, consternation and hurt she's been hiding. The recovery of Zephor, Buck's (the hot shots supervisor) nephew from the Thunderbird's spirit is a revelation. He is Blaise's true mate. But she, as the Black Poenix, physically, and mentally cannot have a mate. Driving them both to distraction. But in the mystical world of these mythic shifters there are always ways to overcome the evil they face, be it dream walking, future and past sight, or just the strength of the true mate bonds. Bringing back the original firefighter mates to fight evil is a touch of genius and comfort. This heart touching, sometimes bittersweet and heartrending story is a beautiful and complete conclusion to this wonderful epic series. And a clever look to the future.
I absolutely loved this book and had to force myself to read it slowly and not rush. Of all of the firefighter shifter books by Zoe Chant this was the one I couldn’t wait to read the most. The choices Blaise had to make were so heartbreaking but the way the story came together was so beautiful. I loved the multiple twists at the end and I can’t wait for the next one and the :::spoiler alert:::
spin-off series. I am excited to see how the ending of this one starts the new one. This book does not end in a cliffhanger even though it feels that way lol. The original storyline does conclude but the end IS a major tease! Do not read this series out of order, I need to go back and reread it so I can place some of the names lol.
OMGEEEEEEE! How is it possible to laugh until you can't breathe, then giggle snort for 10 minutes, then sob with a runny nose and big old tears, then split your face in half from grinning like a fool... Only to rinse and repeat for the entire BRILLIANT, PERFECT, AMAZING, EPIC story of them all?!?!
Well, it is possible cause I sat from 8 pm to 4 am unable to stop reading. I had 10 pages to go when my kindle battery gave up the ghost! We had a motherloving blackout until 6:30am. I had to wait to finish it!!
Not gonna give away any spoilers, but Holy Hera this has me in emotional overload... In the best way ever. The ending is an epic for all the ages! Never saw it coming!!!
After being in a coma for three months, Zephyr wakes to Blaise’s face plus soft, tingly feelings for her but familiar inner sounds are missing; the firebird missing in action; the obnoxiously cantankerous Buck overflows with blustery demands and decrees; the horned demons remain dormant and; Fenfir shares a rookie season with Zeph to the chagrin of B Team.
Blaise has locked her animal down again and is petrified by the possible repercussions of acknowledging she and Zeph are mates, the have a sweetly cute courtship with Zeph’s dream-walking and classes. The time for the horned demons nears as the firebird circles lower and lower over their heads and the couple strain to not complete their mating bond. Rating: 4.25stars
Wildfire Phoenix: Fire & Rescue Shifters: Wildfire Crew 6 By lZoe Chant Kindle unlimited purchase Zephyr and Blaise's story. This book takes you on a long ride. From start to finish it's nothing but a fast paced book. We are again at the beginning of fire season and everyone is back on Thunder Mountain to prepare for the season. I recommend starting with book one a reading the series in order. The series is a continuous plot just different couples finding their true mates along the way. Buck will return in Cub Camp Stormwolf Wildfire Griffin Wildfire Unicorn Wildfire Sea Dragon Wildfire Pegasus Wildfire Hellhound Wildfire Phoenix
Yes, there are still typos. 'Nuf said on that. Yes, the steamy scenes are still really overwritten.
... but this, This is the one where everything really comes together. The author brings you along on a great ride; a ride through the last that brought the group together and that hinted at stories she still has to tell. The author opened the door to backtrack and share the stories of the parents of our beloved A-squad. She also brought forth some hidden fears and unexpected traits in characters we've come to know throughout the series. The author has foreshadowed and fulfilled those hints. She has opened the door for at least two new series. This ... just, this.
The entire world that this universe is set in ties so beautifully together in all its series. Concluding the wildfire shifters, by finally granting a HEA to the last of the hot shots, this one matches its prequels in action & fast-paced furore, interspersed with the humour, insights, and wisdom I have come to enjoy in these titles.
I would write more details but wish to keep it spoiler free ;)
2 points:
- do not read if you have not read fire & rescue series - do not read if you have not read the rest of the wildfire series.
This book will make no sense without the previous books!
This is the end of a fairly intense series. Demons are invading Earth and possessing people. You know there's going to be a fight with the demon queen at the end. Strangely, it wasn't as dark as some of the other books.
There are some laugh out loud moments as these old friends tease each other despite fretting about what's going to happen. The whole Alpha firefighter crew comes back for a cameo.
This story is really all about Blaise. We don't get to know Zephyr much at all, except he's a pretty calm, responsible sort of guy. I enjoyed it a lot, despite that, and look forward to the next series.
