Each couple has their own book and HEA but each book introduces the next couple.Book 1 - Always WIth Me ( Brandon & Gracie)Book 2 - Let Me Love You ( Ben & Mia)Book 3 - Come on Baby ( Nic & Kaylee)
Mia and Ben meet through their two best friends. There was an immediate attraction on both sides even though they are complete opposites. Seemingly for no reason Mia breaks Ben's heart. Ben finally gets Mia to tell him what happened. While he was in Afghanistan something horrible happened to Mia. Ben helps Mia begin to heal and completely wins her heart.
Ben is the perfect boyfriend for Mia. While this storyline covers some heavy subjects like SA. Ben’s love, patience, and loyalty to Mia wins her heart as well as the reader’s. This is a wonderful love story between a man and woman but also the love of good friends.
All thoughts and opinions are my own, and I have not been by anyone.
Reading Let Me Love You was a complete experience. It was the perfect mix of sexy, steamy, and sweet. The character development was so good for each and every person. I never knew if I would be smiling or crying from chapter to chapter. I can't think of another series that captures the beautiful friendships and relationships that The Racing Hearts Series does. Kristin Lee shows true talent through her writing and I can't wait for the rest of the series.
Book Review! Let Me Love you by Kristin Lee I devoured this story in 2 days. It was captivating and sexy. Let Me Love you was impossible to put down. The chemistry between Ben and Mia was off the charts! I loved their story, and the connection they have not only together but with their friends and family!
I love how Kristin has put all the characters in both series. We get to keep seeing glimpses of the first two characters we fell in love with.
⚠️Trigger Warning Some talk about SA that happened in the past.
Tropes Friends/Lovers Second Chance 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶/5 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️/5
As heavy as the subject matter was, i found it difficult to keep my interest in characters who easily forgave terrible indiscretions made against them. It may be a half glass empty view on my part, but Mia willingly reaching out to heartless parents repeatedly was a naively desperate move in my personal opinion. I found it even more abhorrent when she inserted herself in Ben’s family’s issues and essentially pardoned Ben’s dad’s infidelity.
Cheating regardless of circumstance is cheating. It’s a conscious betrayal and will never ever constitute love no matter the reasoning behind it. I found it disgusting how easily Ben’s father was welcomed back into the fold of the family considering the hurt and chaos he left in his wake. Ben’s dad did not deserve a second chance for all that he’s done. Now he knows how easily he can be forgiven and so he’s bound to do it again. Actively cheating on his wife even while knowing her cancer diagnosis says a lot about where his moral compass points. His sob story about not wanting to embarrass her is by far one of the dumbest excuses I’ve heard for cheating. He already embarrassed her the moment he stepped out on their marriage. If anything the IRS issue could easily be forgiven. Using “unconditional” love as a justification to forgive infidelity in a marriage is just a weak excuse for a person with weak character. It takes compassion to forgive, but it takes strength and intelligence to know your worth and know to walk away. No woman should have to settle for “accepting” infidelities and forcing yourself to move on from it just to keep an unworthy person in your life. Why subject degrade yourself and your worth just because of a piece of paper?
While the writing was fine, although a bit too mechanical at times, the part With Ben and Mia’s families really overshadowed what could have been a lasting story about growth and healing. Instead it’s tainted with a poisonous after thought that because of love women should settle for lesser than what they deserve.
Ben is a thoughtful, loyal, easy-going watered down alpha to Mia because he has to be. My favorite scene: Ben’s skillful fingers relieved my breasts of my bra. He massaged me. My nipples peaked, as he pulled and twisted. He mouthed words against my shoulder. “You are delicate but strong.”
Oh holy mother of Jesus. Please let me be strong.
“Do you like this Mia? Do you want more?”
“Yes, yes.” I was breathing heavy. Ben had a way of making me feel every possible sensation. **** They met in book one, Always with Me over pool days, margaritas and game night which ends up with him sucking tequila from her mouth and have a long distance relationship while he is deployed.
Let Me Love You picks up where AWM ends, the wedding weekend of Brandon and Gracie, so continuing the world building of this group of friends where they realize more than ever that life is better with friends. It's been a year since Mia took a jackhammer to Ben's heart by ghosting him and not giving him a reason. Ben, like everything else he does is methodical, thoughtful and finally learns it wasn't something he did that she was broken too. I live how he loves her and finds a way to love her from behind. Her sassy spirit begins to make its way back to the surface before Ben has some of his own feelings to deal with. a cheating father's fall from grace. (He's a minor character and only about eight chapters of the book).
Ben and Mia's love story is a true story about people that deal with trauma and how you can overcome it. He finds a way for her to let him love her. He may not see her eyes but one day he will.
I didn’t know it could be better but Kristin did an amazing job with this book.
Ben is the boyfriend everyone wants.. he’s loyal , sweet, knight in shining armor, sexy and so handsome!!
Did I say that he is in the military ?
Mia is so strong … her parents sucks…
Just like we saw Ben in the first book going through PTSD, Mia needs to be strong and overcome a traumatic episode she went through…
They are perfect together… a match made in heaven…
*Mia, you deserve the fucking stars. You are an amazing woman. He did not take your heart that night , and you can’t let him now. So let me take care of your heart. I’ll handle it with so much care . I’ll wrap it in so much bubble wrap , it will make UPS jealous.*
His family is so good to her, I love the dynamic between them!
We can also see more about Brandon and Gracie, they are all truly friends.
This is one more from Ben
*These words are my private thoughts between you and me. Words that I can’t say during our vows. The words I speak in public are equally important. I meant what I said last night. I would never be the same without you. God gave me you. Fate. Faith. Friends. But most of all, he gave us a love to share.*
You must be 18 and older. This book is very emotional caring and understanding. It very steamy scene with Ben and Mia. Wonderful charter. Great story telling.
Mia dump Ben. She had a secret. Something very badly happen to Mia when Ben was in the force away. Until she see him again on Gracie and Brandon wedding. Ben wasn’t giving up on Mia. He wanted to know the hell he did to her. Ben kept pushing at Mia seeing she still hav eyes for him . But notice something else was different about her. Until he founds out she was tapped. Ben would do anything for Mia and protect her. This story explains every details. It explain what happen to Mia. If you can’t handle reading this story. Then don’t. But I recommend we all need someone special to be their and help their the Trama and support specially love as well . Thank you once again for this amazing story Kristin Lee. Can’t wait for the next charter. I give this book 5/5
Let me love you is the love story about Ben and Mia. The spicy Mia finds herself alone and broken after a traumatic experience and breaks up with her boyfriend Ben, who's in the military. A year later she sees him again, and the determent Ben wants to know why. Step by step, and patient as he is, he unravels the truth and you see that true love means working through hard times together and not giving up on each other. I love the character Ben and his Nickname Simba. He's strong, sweet and patient and lets not forget hot. A man who doesn't give up on the woman he loves, and shows her she worthy of love, and doesn't rest until she lets him in and lets him love her again. Great Job Kirsten Lee.
Oh my god. So many things happened in this book. Gracie and Brandon are getting married. Their wedding has been narrated from Mia and Ben’s Perspective. But behind this happy facade Mia is carrying pain and hurt, darkness is consuming her. Mia and Ben came together and broke up. They have chemistry, passion and they burn for each other but what is keeping them apart? Perhaps Mia is hiding something. Once your heart is broken, it’s hard to collect the fallen pieces and mend it but the cause of it was not Ben then who broke Mia’s heart? But love conquers all and all the pain and hurt Mia has been through will vanish soon. Love will heal her and mend her heart. While Gracie and Ben’s family mingled with each other and enjoying each other’s company.
Oh, Ben. You're the greatest guy. Just the way I like.
4,5 stars
"I did love you yesterday, and last year, but those days don't compare to today."
Ben and Mia are such a great couple. They have awesome chemistry and love each other deeply. Mia is feisty and fun, but some of that is a way for her to hide her pain and trauma. She's been through a lot, so learning to trust and lean on someone else other than herself is a struggle. Lucky for her, Ben is a patient and supportive partner. He's the epitome of the good guy. Sweet, loyal, and protective, he's willing to do everything to create a life with Mia.
Their journey isn't easy, but they make it work. And they most certainly deserve the love they found in each other.
This is a beautiful romance that takes us through the tsunami of emotions that come with trauma and fighting for the love you deserve in the midst of the chaos.
Mia and Ben’s story is so raw and vulnerable that you can just feel the love and pain as their story unfolds. It will have you wanting to weep Mia’s tears, scream in frustration knowing the feelings Ben has and it will have you dreaming of a love as strong as Mia’s and Ben.
Their story is breathtakingly beautiful.
Ben is what all our book boyfriends are made of and is truly what we all deserve. 10/10
I loved this story. As a follow on but can be read as a stand alone, this story hit a few of my triggers. I found it very confronting but not enough to throw me into a meltdown, it was very emotional for me. The highs and lows reminded me of many parts of my life but the way things were handled gave me hope. Beautifully written from both characters perspectives. PTSD is one of those subjects that are difficult to understand and harder to deal with. Thank you for writing this story of unconditional love.
I really enjoyed this book , it has a little bit of everything and is easy to read. The heart break and steamy love come together for a wonderful story. Don't miss out on this book !
Such a sweet, tender love story. Full of patience, persistence, perfect love, and more. I enjoyed the ride with the series, even if I did read them out of order.
