A Groom for Violet
This is a short but sweet story. Violet had been married only one week when her new husband departed on the fated hunting trip that cost his life during a freak blizzard. Her sweet mother in law offered for her to remain with the family rather than return to Charleston. There was nothing in Charleston but the aunt she is trying to get away from so she gladly remained with her new family. But then her husband’s older brother returns to the farm. Emmet Stapleton never wanted to work his family farm so after the death of his father he made a life for himself as a banker in Denver. Upon returning to the farm to help his mother and younger brother plant the crops then return to his job in Denver, he was surprised to see his brother had been married before his death. He certainly had no intention of falling in love with her. If you would like a quick and enjoyable read, you might like reading Violet and Emmett’s story.

This is another outstanding story in The Blizzard Brides series. This is Violet Montgomery Stapleton and Emmet Stapleton's story. Violet had traveled to Last Chance to become a MOB in order to escape her unscrupulous aunt only to become a widow within a month when most of the men in town were lost in a blizzard. Emmet was her deceased husband's brother and came to Last Chance upon the death of his brother. When Emmet meets Violet sparks fly, both good and not so good. Emmet's mother plays a part in trying to get the couple together. Then Violet's aunt arrives falsely accusing her of a misdeed. Will Emmet be able to protect Violet or will she be forced to return to Charleston? Will Emmet and Violet have their own HEA? Be sure and read this wonderful story to find out; I know you will enjoy it as much as I did.

Laura Ashwood has written another wonderful story. Her characters are always so interesting. This book is a sweet romance with a sprinkling of humor as well as mystery.
Violet's husband died in the blizzard. Together with her Mother-in-law and teenage Brother-in-law, they are trying to keep the farm going. But what will happen when another Brother-in-law comes home to help out for a bit? Will Emmett be in a hurry to return to the city? Will a sheltered Southern miss be able to make in on the farm?

Sweet mail order bride story with a bit of a twist. Violet came to Last Chance, Nebraska as a mail order bride, but her husband is killed in a blizzard shortly after they are married. Her mother-in-law invites her to stay living with her and her 15 year old son. Violet's older brother-in-law returns home after his brother's death to help his family temporarily. Meeting Violet isn't what he expects, and there's a twist from Violet's past as well. Very tame romance. Finished it in one day!

It is always good to visit Last Chance. The inhabitants have become old friends. Volet Montgomery Stapleton has had a life turned upside down. Frankly, I’m just going to say it, when her Aunt comes to town she probably is fortunate that Emmet is there, not Wyatt. I’m not sure Wyatt would have been able to stand up to Aunt Dorcas. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and its many twists and surprises.

A Groom for Violet is a heartwarming story.
Violet travels to Last Chance as a mail order bride but after a tragic accident she’s widowed months later. When Emmett comes home he absolutely dazzled by the vibrant Violet.
I loved how these two come together. It’s messy and full of mishaps but such a sweet surprise. Overall this was a really cute story that I absolutely enjoyed.

This is a sweet mail order groom tale, but the groom was one of those that died in the blizzard. Violet was asked by Wyatt’s family to stay after her husband’s untimely death. Emmett is the oldest of the sons and has come to Last Chance from Denver to help with the planting. He meets Violet and there is an attraction between them, but also many things to over come. You will enjoy discovering how they find their happily ever after.

The humor and romance are done well with this story. Violet does not know a lot about farming or housekeeping but stays in with her mother in law after a blizzard takes her husband's life. Emmet has come home to help his family and meets Violet who he never met before since he has been gone a long time perusing his own dreams of being a banker. I love the way this story unfolds telling all a little at a time until all connects. This is a clean historical romance and stands alone just fine.

Lovely and sweet
A lovely little story about finding love and a new family in a town called Last Chance. One young woman who has faced tragedy finds out that she can begin again in the quiet town of last chance after the tragic lost of her husband. This book by Laura Ashwood was the second book I've read from this amazing author. Highly recommended if you love sweet inspirational western romances.

I really enjoyed this book! It's part of the Blizzard Brides series and it's another great story in this series. Violet's husband was killed in a blizzard, that took most of the men in town. When her husbands brother, Emmett shows up to help with the farm, he wasn't expecting Violet. I loved this story. It has great characters, a great storyline and a few surprises thrown in. I recommend it to anyone that likes historical romance.

Really enjoy this story
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this story. The only problem I had with it was the abrupt ending. It has the HEA all these books do but I think it would have benefitted from an epilogue of some kind. The end just felt unfinished. The rest of the story was great. I really liked Violet and Emmett. Eli was a sweetie and Cora was wonderful.

This book gives you all the feelings! It has an incredible cast of characters. They blend together perfectly.
Life has a way of coming together if you just give it a little time. Emmet and Violet opposites in almost every way. Emmet's Mother plays a huge part in bringing them together. There is drama, humor and excitement in this story. I know you are going to love it!

Another great story in the Blizzard brides series. The Blizzard brides are women who find new husbands after their previous husbands died in a freak blizzard. And this story was great in that neither of the main characters were looking for a spouse. I received a copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

"A Groom For Violet" has a romantic, but mysterious storyline. Everything even the characters blend together. I've never read a book by this author, Laura Ashwood, before. I totally enjoyed reading this book and will recommend it to others. "A Groom For Violet" is a fantastic book.

What was Violet hiding?
Emmett has come back to from Denver to help with the planting and merge his deceased brother's wife, Violet. Violet's husband perished in the blizzard along with most of the men from Last Chance. Emmett has the feeling that Violet is hiding something, but he has no idea what, until Violates Aunt Dorcus tracks her down in Last Chance.

Such a wonderful story
Oh, I loved this story! I'm not sure if I could choose just one thing I liked about; it's more a combination of things. I loved the characters, each one just felt right, real. But, Violet, just had me from the beginning. I just loved this story.

Wonderful story!

My favorite of this series!
This is my favorite book in this series! Emmett and Violet were perfect together. Cora was a wonderful mother-in-law and friend to Violet! Aunt Dorcas got what she deserved!

It is surprising to meet the cute little dog in the wild west but it becomes such an important part of this family. Emmet and Violet have so much to learn about themselves and each other. I really enjoyed this story.
