“Look for the gold in others” no matter who they are, what they’ve done, or how far gone they seem to be. I love that! As a teacher, it is my vocation to invite my students into the tent of our classroom and “pull the gold out of them.” Educators excavate the gold of our students’ gifts, identity, and purpose and show them how valuable they truly are! English is my cultural “pass key” to countries to which I would otherwise lack access.
“What part of all of the world are we, the church, supposed to stay out of?” God’s reckless love “will go into any pit, porn convention, or pagan festival…This is the world we live in that the church doesn't see.”
Hollywood is often called “The Dream Factory, but..the true source of dreams and messages in night seasons is our Creator. Not all dreams are from God, but “God made every dreamer.” He doesn’t give dreams to scare us but to prepare us. We are called to “go into the darkest places and bring the greatest Light.” As “heavenly hitmen,” we “make our way out to the highways and hedges in this great harvest.”
“Truth is not your ability to speak King James. Truth is the person of King Jesus.” If we are kind to His friends, He’ll introduce them to us. If we will put our finger on the pulse of culture, He will bring the encounters. “There are people that are saved and those that are being saved. Sometimes we just have to build the bridge. Sometimes we just have to love them enough for the bridge to go down.”
Cindy McGill’s Words That Work is an invitation to spiritual sojourners to “organic restart” (salvation), “spiritual detox” (deliverance), “chiropractic soul adjustment” (obedience), “future forecast” (prophecy), and “original root recovery” (identity) as “identity is paramount to our destiny.”
