Kirk Guys #2

Tender Strokes

Rate this book
Both could use a tender touch...

Zach has always felt like a wallflower. Too shy to make friends or talk to the boys he had crushes on.
He finds solace in music, playing drums to his heart's content.

But one night changes all of that forever, leaving him with haunting memories and scarring trauma.

Deepak is cheerful, outgoing and happy-go-lucky, always the life of the party.
But after losing one of the most important people in his life, he feels strangely empty, struggling to express his vulnerability to the outside world.

Both men meet in their darkest hour.

Can each help the other to reclaim the light within?

This is book two of the Kirk Guys series, a series of new adult m/m romance stories and spin-off of the Kirk University series. Enjoy each book in order or as standalones.

Diana Vale is a British contemporary romance author. She writes grounded, coming-of-age new adult stories with warm heart and plenty of steam. Her characters can be described as confident nice guys with a light-hearted sense of humour, and spunky imperfect girls with sass and fire.

Her Kirk Uni-Verse consists of three main series: the Kirk University series (heterosexual couples), the Kirk Guys series (m/m couples), and the Kirk Gals series (f/f couples). All books take place at the charming fictitious city of Kirk in northern England (based on the real-life University of York).

Follow these students as they enter adulthood on their quests for personal growth. Watch as they find their soulmates along the way. Various topics are explored, from addiction and OCD, to the struggles of falling for your significantly older university professor. But inevitably, love prevails.

If you enjoy sexy, diverse, and thought-provoking tales, dive on in today. All books are exclusively in Kindle Unlimited.

This is an emotional story with Deepak grieving the loss of his uncle and Zach trying to deal with sexual abuse on his first encounter. Neither are handling their problems very well until they meet and things come out in the open. The author brings all the feels as the two men work through their issues together and find love along the way. It's well written, moves quickly and smoothly and is a touching story I enjoyed reading.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.

A first time author for me and I will definitely read more of her books!

A sweet poignant story about two emotionally scarred guys that meets in a nightclub.

Zack has been sexually abused on a tinder date, a first time sexual experience that wounded him deeply and Deepak has lost a dear family member, his uncle, the only family that really knew him.

Zack is a drummer in a band who keeps men at a distance but somehow the loud semi deaf Deepak who is an aspiring writer intrigues him and understands he needs a gentle hand and somehow they connect on so many levels!

Will these two emotionally scarred guys from Kirk University find the missing pieces in each other?

I recommend this book if you want to read a sweet
semi slow burn with lots of heat!

Deepak, no words...but, here are a few. Sexy, confident, and outgoing. Zach, special in his own boy from a small town way. Zach, is sexy in a non obvious way which makes Deepak want him more. When opposites attract what is a guy to do? I know what, run and run fast towards your new destination. This reader could not get enough of these guys. Zach and Dee give their audience exactly what they are looking for in a M/M romance. We get good looking men...which is a given. Lol. Also, the reader gets a better understanding of the inner workings of same sex couples. Great story line with true intimacy will leave the reader wanting more of this couple, I highly recommend this story for mature audiences.

Tender Strokes

Nicely written, very few spelling or grammatical errors. Plot loses it's way occasìonaĺly, needing a re-read of preceding paragraphs but allover a nice tale, leaving a feeling of warmth, and hope for the characters' future.
