Marcelle Dubé always finds the right word for a situation, never indulging in endless detail or description, and making her novels a page-turner. In this particular book, the characters are also lovable and realistic, so are the locations. Everything, from the settings, surroundings and character personality, feels real and believable. Nothing is out of place (or out of pace). Highly recommended reading.

I read it in one sitting! I absolutely loved this well-written, well-paced novel. I fell in love with the two main characters; they and secondary characters were relatable and well developed. As a Canadian, I particularly enjoyed the setting which you can tell the author also loved.

Well done. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this book to anyone who enjoys mystery/suspense novels!
