Hamlet is a Shakespeare play I have come to know well over the years after initially studying it for my OU Degree and through watching various productions. I re-read it again now due to being in a Shakespeare Study Group and enjoyed re-engaging with the text in this way. By reading the test out loud and thinking about scenes/themes/characters and productions I feel I have both re-visited a new friend and seen new aspects of the play.

Even though I knew the plot going in, I had never read the play before. I expected not to like it but I did enjoy it. In trying to play a role to accomplish a specific end, he became the character he was portraying, and caused suffering not just for his intended victims, but for almost everyone he valued, including himself. I was also amazed at the sheer number of famous quotes that were introduced by this one play.

How weary, stale, flat and unprofitable,
Seem to me all the uses of this world.
’tis an unweeded garden,
Things rank and gross in nature possess it merely.

This story is about a man called HAMLET, his father was the king of Denmark but he died and his uncle CLAUDIOUS became King and married Hamlet's mother Gertrude.Hamlet thought that his uncle was his father's killer, and he didn't know what to do,a ghost appeared to Hamlet and asked him to take revenge of his father's death, Claudious poisoned Hamlet's drink, but Hamlet's mother drank it and died,Hamlet used his poisoned sword to kill Claudious,Hamlet also died.

Hamlet is a good theme this book, and I like the style of the book with pictures and questions. The author did a great job about this book, because there are a lot of stories like this of Hamlet happening.this book really moved me, I like this book it's amazing.Something that I've learned from this book is that we don't have to trust anyone,we must be careful of what we're talking and with who we're talking about,We should not be hypocrites not even selfish.what happened in this story, happens also to a lot of people and it's an amazing book, that's why I think that the audience should read this book.

For the rating, I would give this book 5,because I lke this book, and because that's an interesting story.
