Honest yet hopeful, this collection is a breath of fresh air in a world over-saturated with doom and gloom. Bansal's poetic voice is strong and unapologetic, painting clear pictures of contemporary situations, and how we can change them for the better. This compilation also offers much to be appreciated from an aesthetic standpoint, with beautiful imagery, unique wordplay, and inventive turns of phrase. If your faith in humanity needs resuscitating, but you also want to enjoy some lovely rhymes and metaphors, then Deep Shallows is the book for you!
