Because of his eternal love, Christ came to earth to suffer and die for us. These daily devotions allow us to join him on the journey through the darkness of Lent to the glory of the resurrection. The Son of God took on flesh and was stripped, beaten, crowned with thorns, and crucified for the sake of humanity. In God’s perfect act of love, his body was broken and his blood poured out so that we could be saved and set free. His selfless sacrifice brings salvation to the world. Each day we can rejoice, because through His resurrection the gates of heaven are open, and we who believe can enter as sons and daughters of the King.
