This is a good children's book to teach about taking initiative. I feel like I can't read it to my class though because "poop" is a bad word to most second graders. I want to read it to someone though so let me know if you want to hear it!

One of the best books I have ever read. It is a children's book, and is a simple way of teaching how to be proactive and take initiative. I have used this book for work training meetings, and even to teach sunday school at my church. It is great.

Short children-like book to teach about taking initiative. It can be used in a business environment to talk about the roles of the Poopers, the Pointers and the Scoopers.

Simple read with a big message. Are you a dog poop pointer or a scooper? Scooper = takes initiative = leader. Pointer = no initiative = follower. Which are you??

Read for a leadership course at work. Immediately went home and read it to my kids. Hope they are inspired to just take the initiative when something simple needs done and no one else is doing it. Best 5 minute read for my family this year!

What a fun book to teach kids about doing something instead of whining. This book takes a real life situation and really does a great job of teaching kids and adults to take action instead of avoiding difficult situations.
I read it to my third graders and they loved it. I'd only wished I read it to this group the first week of school and again throughout the year as needed.

The Dog Poop Initiative can teach you alot. One it can teach you that you have to be a leader. Two it teaches you if there is somenthing that is making a problem fix it. I think EVERYONE should read this book it teaches you a lesson, still read it even though it is not a chapter book.
