Yetunde Osaro, who is pretty and comes from a reasonably comfortable home marries Chibuzor, the not so handsome civil servant she falls in love with much to the wonder of her friends and some family members. Life goes by and sixteen years and four kids later, Yetunde yearns for more, so partners with an old friend to run a trendy gift shop / art gallery. Along the way, she meets Yinka, a talented artist who was also her former student. This lays out the journey for the rest of the story and characters involved.
Verdict: As a feminist and lover of books about women finding their place in the world, I was totally impressed with this book. Infact, Helen Ovbiagele hardly ever disappoints. The ending was totally impressive. It reminds us all women that as much as we want a man to love us and be at peace with society, we also want something greater: fulfilment.
