So let me start by saying that I NEVER read straight up horror fiction and am a bit of a scaredy cat but I ended up really loving this collection of short stories!!
It has 5 stories in total with all kinds of creatures in here like 🧛‍♂️space vampires, 🧟‍♀️zombies,🐺werewolves, etc. so there is something for everyone here. Reading these felt like being curled up on the couch or at the drive-in in the summertime watching some scary flicks while eating some 🍿 . If that is the mood you are looking for then you’ll love these!

Things I loved:
-The dialogue on the whole was quippy and fun and did a good job demonstrating relationships between the characters and making me literally laugh out loud. 😂
-The fact that all of these stories take place in towns near each other and that the characters within the same story and across other stories have the opportunity to meet and/or to be generally effected by the scary happenings in neighboring towns was so cool to me. I love that kind of stuff!
-I loved the subtle hinting at other stories in the book as you read the collection in order. (And if you’re like me and you like to skip around in a short story collection, I would recommend resisting that urge and just reading these in order. It really is more fun that way! ☺️)
-If you like monster romance, it has a little bit of that too! ☺️

Overall, my personal favorites were “Dead of the Night” and “Wolf Moon”. 🌙 They were so entertaining and so well done! There were some distracting editing errors occasionally but nothing that took away from my general enjoyment of the story! I loved the humor in it generally with few exceptions. If you want some scary/fun/entertaining stories to keep you up at night reading (and also because you are spooked 😳 😂), definitely give this author a try! ☺️
