Romance swirls like December snowflakes in this sweet holiday romance.

Until Trevor experiences a chance encounter with a beautiful stranger that leaves him reeling. Almost two years pass before they unexpectedly meet again. He feels blindsided by an emotional avalanche . . . and her name is Mykah.
Mykah Wagner has spent years building her career with Creekdale Enterprises while burying memories better forgotten. Instead, she discovers an area teeming with farms, ranches, vineyards, and sagebrush. This is such enjoyable Christmas story. It's a heartwarming, funny & moving romance. I loved it from the first to the last page. Great characters! Catching up with old friends & making new friends. Trevor & Mykah, have cared for each other since met. They both did nothing, as life kept going. If you've read Rinehart's Crossing, you will be thrilled with a crossover part in, Remembering Christmas. 🎄 A MUST READ!! 🎄
Remembering Christmas is an awesome addition to the Rodeo Romance series. This is a beautiful story with a great cast of characters. Among many, Aunt Marv is a favorite of mine, as well as her group of friends that live at a local assisted living facility. Aunt Marv is a hoot with her wild clothes, unfiltered commentary, the way that she thinks she and her friends need to be matchmakers for all the local singles and their schemes they come up with literally made me laugh out loud. Marv lives on her nephew Trevor King's ranch, the King Penny Ranch, in a bungalow behind the big house. Trevor has to keep a close eye on Aunt Marv and finds himself as the butt to one of her match making schemes. Literally. The reason for Marv's scheme is Trevor not being able to go out on a planned date with a woman that wasn't the lady Marv and her friends are trying to get him together with.
Trevor King is a hard working man that only wants to run his ranch, take care of his Aunt, go on meaningless dates and spend his life being a good rancher, brother, nephew, and uncle. No wife or long term relationship included. That is until he ends up on the kisscam at a rodeo and kisses a beautiful stranger he can't get out of his head.
Mykah Wagner grew up on a dairy farm in North Dakota. As a youth she couldn't wait to get away from that dairy, her family and country life. She goes off to college, graduates and lands herself an awesome job with Creekdale Enterprises and excels in her job. She spends her time traveling all over the United States, spending very little time in her own condo much less going home to North Dakota. This makes it very easy for Mykah to bury her past and all her hurtful memories. Her boss sends her to Washington State to oversee the requisition and expansion of a retirement community in the Eastern part of the state. Another place to just do her thing and then just move on to the next location. Little does she know she'll find herself falling in love with the residents, the area and the very cowboy that she shared a kiss with two years prior and hasn't been able to stop thinking of.
An excellent read about the true reason of any holiday season - family, friends, love and the intertwining of all those relationships as they come together to celebrate the holidays.
Remembering Christmas: Fantastic story of love and challenges! Trevor felt he could never be the right man for love and marriage until he met the right woman and could not forget her when he first met her in Las Vegas at the Rodeo. Mykah was a woman that threw herself into her work and traveling for the company and making things great for senior living places so the seniors can enjoy themselves and have good care. When she met Trevor at the rodeo in Vegas she didn't believe it would come of anything until her next project in Washington state and she ran into him there. She could not forget him two years after the kiss. Trevor could forget her and no other woman match her. It was truly a wonderful story! Wonderful writing.
this is a wonderful story, trevor and his aunt marv is a hout. mykah is in charge of redoing the place that marv visits her friends at . trevor and mkah are sitting next to each other when the kissing tram settles on them and of course they have to kiss. then she issent to remodle the place the older people live at . and what follows the matchmakers is only matched by mykah nieces when she goes to see them. if you like Christmas and animals and cowboys you will want to read the story . love that we get to see the rodeo people back and some new ones i was given a copy of the story but this is an honest review looking forward to the next story
I loved this! :) So much emotion in one book, I laughed and then had tears in my eyes - particularly when Mykah talked about her Granny. I was hooked and was then sad when the story ended, I wanted it to keep going. I loved the little cameos by characters from other books, and that some of the names were familiar to me from books about previous generations. Obviously, this is a stand-alone book, but just having read several books by Shanna Hatfield has given me a deeper enjoyment and appreciation of this story :)
It started with a kiss and they both couldn’t forget it. Mykah and Trevor are such fun characters, they are so different but have also so much in common. They can’t help falling in love but she’s just around until she has finished her job and has to go again, how can they ever build a future? Reading about both families makes this story even more interesting. It’s full of laughter, swoon worthy kisses, family interference and of course love. Bringing in characters of other stories makes it just the perfect story. I highly recommend it!
One of the things I look forward to at Christmastime is getting to read the next book in the Rodeo Romance series from Shanna Hatfield. This series has been a delight to me each time I read the books and it is always great to catch up with previous characters in a new book. This time it is Trevor King's turn. Who would have thought a chance encounter with a mystery lady would be something he remembers for so long. And what happens when Mykah (aka the mystery lady) comes to the rescue of Aunt Marv? The way characters are brought to life is a true delight and I found myself laughing out loud at some of the ridiculous and hilarious things that go on - especially from Aunt Marv. She and her bunch of crazy friends were truly funny and really added that extra dimension to this story. It was a exceptional book, with an amazing story and romance that I did not want to end … in fact I’m going to go and start rereading the whole series!
Loved reading this sweet romance with the pitfalls that ensue. Love for Trevor is important and he wants a family like his friends and siblings have. Trevor runs the ranch and his aunt that lives there is a hoot. I haven't read any of the other books yet, so can't wait to do that to put all the names in this book with their story. Mykah accidentally runs into Trevor at trades fair at a rodeo. There seems to be something there, but he doesn't see her again for two years. There are misunderstanding on his part, but it's all good in the end. HEA.
Remembering Christmas starts with a kiss at the rodeo, it was a cam kiss and they never forgot it. Their paths cross again and the jouney begins. You'll love how they travel the road to happy ever after.
The characters were well done — realistic and complex. (Some are friends from previous stories, but I don't think it's required to read the others first.)
The main characters' first and second meetings were fantastic. So fun to experience. Their romance slowly built in a believable manner, and their... misunderstanding, likewise, didn't seem contrived.
Remembering Christmas is the beautiful love story of Mykah and Trevor. It certainly started with a bang, and it's what hooked me into their story. The sparks certainly flew between those two (both kinds), but it was certainly fun to see them getting to know each other and slowly changing the preconceived notions they had of the other.
Fans of the series will definitely love getting to see the updates on past characters (there's even a chapter from Tally's POV), as well as more of Aunt Marv (she's such a hoot, but definitely on the meddling side of the spectrum) and her group of friends (the "Golden Grannies"). I also liked that for the most part, all the problems were handled as the adults they all are, though maybe the ending was a bit rushed (especially keeping in mind how long this book is). Still, Mykah's sorting through some unresolved issues in her past was needed, and it was even nice getting to see her interactions with her family too.
Overall, a beautiful and sweet story that's sure to deliver all the Christmas feelings and is perfect for this time of the year. A great addition to Shanna's Rodeo Romance series, and even though it can be read as a standalone (with maybe too many names in some gatherings), the ones who've been awaiting this installment won't be disappointed, since it packs everything that fans of the author have come to expect: a sassy heroine, her perfect-match cowboy, meddling aunts, vivid descriptions of the scenery, as well as mouthwatering ones for the food, a wonderful community of friends, and a sweet, passionate, and satisfying romance. ~ 4.5 stars
Content: passionate kisses (it's a sweet romance). Also, there's mention of people attending church, but I definitely wouldn't label this one Christian Fiction.
I always say how much I love Shanna Hatfield’s books, and at the risk of being redundant – I loved this book! I really enjoyed how Trevor and Mykah’s relationship progressed – not a “love at first sight” kind of story. A chance meeting, a forced KISS CAM encounter, and then months before they saw each other again. But that encounter was never far from their thoughts. The way they ended up meeting again, their interactions, were very entertaining and progressed their relationship in a realistic way. And, of course, nothing is more entertaining than when you add Aunt Marv and the Golden Grannies into the mix! I loved how the other characters from the Rodeo Romance series were weaved within the storyline that felt very natural and not forced. And it’s always interesting to see how those couples are doing and who’s been added to their families. While this is a romance, it was interesting to see Mykah dealing with family issues from her past. I was very touched with her conversation with her mom and cheered her on when she finally confronted her sister. And while there was a short bit of angst between the main characters at the end, there was no big blow up scene. There were apologies, forgiveness, and a bit of a twist I did not see coming! I always love it when I am surprised at the ending.
This book is AMAZING!!! First, any book with Aunt Marvella Hawkins & her group of Golden Grannies (or Grabbin Grannies to the handsome cowboys!) is gonna be a hoot & a half!! Their antics have me constantly bursting out in gales of laughter. My hubby & kids think I’ve lost my mind, but, who cares?! Second, I absolutely loved the addition of the extended King family finding each other!! It was so cool to see that tie in since I’ve read the Rinehart’s Crossing series. I had wondered how this modern generation of Kings tied in with the historical Kings, especially since I knew that the ranch was called King Penny Ranch back then. I definitely think we need some books from Tenner’s side of the Kings since Trevor is from Jeb’s side. Third, since you did a football love story, how about a baseball love story for Alek?! He is such a great friend to Mykah & his loyalty should be rewarded! Fourth, I think Troy needs a love story. He has patiently endured everyone war finding love… he needs his turn!! Fifth, I think Trevor & Mikah need a baby right away!!! 😬 Thanks for another great story!!!
Just love Rodeo Romance!!! Mykah worked years to become a successful executive and leave her farm girl days behind. She can’t believe it when that career takes her to Kennewick, Washington—right in the middle of farm country. There she meets a hunky cowboy that has been in her thoughts since they were caught unaware by the kiss cam at the Las Vegas rodeo more than a year before. Trevor has dreamed of the woman he kissed at the rodeo and the instant spark from that kiss. They never thought they would see each other again but when they did that same spark ignited. You will love their story and the shenanigans that Aunt Marv goes through to get them together. The love story is great---but you will really love Aunt Marv! You won’t want to lay this book down and you will laugh out loud! You will catch up with the cowboys and their families from the earlier books. Shanna Hatfield brings the people and places in her books to life. Don’t miss Remembering Christmas!
Again, Shanna Hatfield has warmed my heart with my favorite type of people. Rodeo! She truly captures the Camaraderie, support, and forever friendships, the rodeo world embraces. Trevor king and Mykah Wagnor were the perfect, opposite attract couple, or are they?
Mykah has a past that just might surprise Trevor and his secluded , Cavedweller disposition. Trevor has a heart of gold and doesn’t ever plan to settle down. Boy, is he in for an awakening, especially with a few helpful octogenarians behind the scenes.
Aunt Marv and her retirement home Golden Grannies truly stole the show. Their matchmaking schemes are coffee spewing.
I loved this book, but I will tell you that Shanna Hatfield’s Romance In Rinehart’s Crossing tells the back story of the King family and I highly recommend reading it before Remembering Christmas. You will be thrilled you did.
Super sweet, romantic, and the joy of Christmas western style is a true treasure.
What a sweet heartwarming story about family and friends. I really liked Trevor and Mykah. Both of them just knew they would not get married and have a family. They would be the fun aunt and uncle. That is until they got caught on the kiss cam at the rodeo. Neither of them could forget that kiss. About a year and a half later, they meet again. Mykah fights it all the way, but she just couldn't help but fall in love with Trevor. All of Trevor's friends and family knew he had fallen hard for Mykah, but it took him a while to realize it. Would Mykah give up her wandering ways to stay on the ranch with him? She grew up on a dairy farm and couldn't wait to get away from it. Mykah realizes that she needs to come to terms with her feeling about her family before she has a relationship with Trevor. Will she stay?
I really enjoyed both main characters, Trevor and Mykah. Both were good people with big hearts and I loved them together. It was great how they met and then ended up getting to each other again when they meet up again.I loved seeing old characters from previous books interacting in this book, it was like catching up with old friends. I was impressed with how Mykah realized how she needed to mend fences with her family before being able to move on and be happy with Trevor and how patient and sweet Trevor was about that. Overall it was a sweet book with amazing characters that seem real and honest and I LOVED crazy aunt Marv. The ploy with the Gatorade was super funny I couldn't stop laughing. :)
What a wonderful addition to the Rodeo Romance Series. This was an enjoyable, engaging, and humorous read from start to finish. The main characters were perfect for each other and they had many challenges to overcome to come to that conclusion. There were several scenes that had me literally laughing out loud. Great Aunt Mary and her cronies were the instigators in most if not all of them. It was great to catch up with others from the prior books in this series and see where they are in their lives. I highly recommend.
If I could have given this book more than 5 stars I would have given as many as possible. All the feels we’re here, excited to see what everyone in the previous books have been up to, especially Aunt Marvella and her friends at the nursing home.
Catching up with everyone from Taggart and Kenzie in book 1 to Trevor finally getting his story and meeting Mykah literally made my heart hum with joy. I did not put it down until I finished it.
Shanna writes a romance so well with no sex scenes, no swearing or violence. Just plain old heart warming, sigh inducing romance from beginning to end.
I love all the rodeo romance series and this one was wonderful. I love that all the characters from the other books are in it and it was so nice to see how the friends have grown, added to their families and still kept close friendships. Mikah and Trevor both had decided they would not marry, until they met each other and that was the end of their plans. I also loved finding out that Trevor was related to Tenner King from Rhinehart's Crossing. These books are fun and romantic and I hope there are more to follow.
Though it took some time for Trevor and Mykah to find each other again after their first kiss for the Kiss Cam in Las Vegas, their love blossomed like cherry blossoms. I have enjoyed this entire Rodeo Romance Christmas series so very much. Each story is tender, sweet, and so well written. I gain a few pounds each time the oven door opens with another batch of warm cookies or pie and hot chocolate. The rich, abiding, precious friendships shared by all these wonderful couples and their families has been pure delight.
I simply love to read Shanna's books - they are light hearted and very inspirational - this is Trevor and Mykah's story and they sure do have a hard time finding each other after a chance encounter and kiss leave both of them wondering who this person is and how this thing has changed their lives for the better - aunt Marv is a hoot and so like many elderly ladies that I have know! I read a bookfunnel copy and freely leave my review!
If I could give this a six-star review, I would! If you’ve ever felt that swept up feeling when reading a romance novel and could feel down to the bone, this is that. What was a surprise to me was the ingenious way it melded into the series. I had forgotten I was even reading a series. This standalone is a must if you love a good cowboy romance or if you just want an amazing romance period. Book gifted to me.
I loved Trevor and Mykah story. How they got their first kiss and how they got to know each other years later. I loved Trevor’s family especially his aunt. I loved how she played matchmaker. His aunt Marv was so funny. Remembering Christmas is such a great story. I loved the family relationships in the book.
I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author. This book review is my own opinion.
Most ‘clean’ romances seem to be written in a style that says ‘You must be a little stupid, so I’ll use small words.’ This one is no different. Sweet, just a little too sweet, it came across, for me, as more ‘boring’ than anything. And it seemed to take forever, going the really long way around, to get to the actual romance. But it wasn’t horrible. It just wasn’t great, either.
Another incredible read from this author! Her characters become old friends but the second chapter and you will find yourself rooting gif the hero snd heroine to get it together. Real life problems, misconceptions and hurt feelings happen to all. Shanna handled it beautifully in thus book. Wish I could give it 10 stars! Plus it’s always fun to meet up with old book friends! A must read!
Remembering Christmas: Sweet Western Holiday Romance (Rodeo Romance Book 9)
The love story of Trevor and Mykal. Trevor is a former rodeo star and now fall time rancher, who live with an excentric aunt. She want him marry. Mykal is a nursery home executive. She has come to Crestview to do repairs and fix the employee problems. When they first met Trevor kiss Mykal and he has not thought of another women sent that kiss. Will.they find love? Great story.
It’s nice to pick up with some of the same people in this series. Even crazy aunts and golden grannies. When Mykah comes to town to run interference at the residential home that her company just purchased, she meets an amazing group of rodeo people. The golden grannies are matchmakers and begin their work. Trevor comes from a pretty normal family – only a Mom problem and Mykah comes from a family that she felt was unloving. Can they work through their pasts and move into the future?
I loved this book. Loved the golden granny's, I think Marc was my favorite. I laughed at her the things she came up with to make Trevor not go on a date with a girl she didn't like. I loved how much Mikey learned and grew and how she was able to finally forgive and let go of the past and realize it had some wonderful memories too. It was such a great story of love and forgiveness.
